Should i apply for cucet Chandigarh exam for B.Sc Hons. I m now in 12 th.

Anshu Saini 16th Feb, 2020

Hi aspirant,

The eligibility for  CUCET is - Candidate must have secured 50 per cent or more marks in their secondary Education (10+2) from a recognized Board (CBSE/PSEB/ICSE or any other recognized State/National Board). Students appearing for secondary education (10+2) in 2020 are also eligible to apply for the CUCET 2020.

Those who are yet to appear for class 12 board exams can appear for the same but you wont be eligible for admission until you get your score card of 12th class. But you can appear in this exam.

Hops this helps.

I want to take admission in Chandigarh University through jee main ranking only ( not through cucet ) then can I will get? My jee main Jan 2020 pr is 93.48 and I am OBC candidate from Gujarat state. I want to take admission in b tech program in cse branch.

AYAN MULLA 11th Feb, 2020

HELLO JAY
Congratulations for your result and qualifying JEE mains.since it is very difficult to predict the exact rank but we do have a backup> we have a formula to calculate the expected rank that is (100 – Total percentile) x 869010/100.So according to formula your expected rank for present percentile for January session comes out to be  56659 generAL RANK. Now the expected rank might change depending on the no of candidates appearing the april session. For ex if 12 lakh candidate appear the april session then just replace 869010 by 12 lakhs. But if you score above 85 percentile then you have a very decent chance of qualifying jee mains.

Now since the official cutoffs  fro college are yet to be decided but let us analyse your chances by looking into the previous year cutoffs data
HS HOME STATE QUOTA
OS OTHER STATE QUOTA
2019(Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh
HS Computer Science and Engineering
3359 -11402
OS Computer Science and Engineering
3282 -7074
this are mentioned general rank since we do not have the formula to calculate the category ranks

After looking into the data it seems a little difficult for you to enter this institute

No worries since you have an april attempt left and most importantly baap of the exams i,e Advance which may directkly lead you into IIIts.

But if you are curious to know that which college you might land into with your percentile then you can use the college predictor link which has following features;
