TISSNET Eligibility Criteria 2023 - Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has released the TISSNET 2023 eligibility criteria with the TISS official brochure on TISS official website tiss.edu. The eligibility criteria will be for Master of Arts (MA) programmes. The criteria explain the educational requirements or academic qualifications for candidates. If a candidate does not meet the TISSNET eligibility criteria based on minimum academic qualification, he/she will not be eligible to apply for the TISSNET 2023.

The eligibility criteria for candidates differ based on the subjects or disciplines in which they want to earn a master's degree. These criteria or main points are the following:

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree.

  • Their bachelor’s degree should be in the same discipline in which they want to pursue their master’s degree education.

  • Candidates in the final year of graduation are also eligible for TISSNET 2023.

  • Candidates of any age can apply for the 2023 TISSNET examination.

One of the two criteria is required for post graduation in this programme:

Criterion 1: Graduation in any discipline

Criterion 2: 4-years bachelor’s degree in medicine, pharmacy, paramedical sciences, engineering, veterinary sciences, engineering or law (Bachelor’s degree in any one of these disciplines)

Other important criteria:

  • Internships of candidates must be completed.

  • Candidates in the final year of their bachelor’s programme cannot apply for the TISSNET 2023 examination to earn a Master's degree in Public Health.

MA Social Work (Disability Studies and Action)

  • Graduation (it can be in any discipline)

  • Graduates with two years of experience in the domain of social work or welfare can also apply for this post graduation programme.

  • Candidates who graduated in Psychology, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Theory, Social Education, and Disability rehabilitation-related domains will be preferred for TISSNET 2023 prominently.

MA Social Work (Livelihood and Entrepreneurship)

Master of Arts in Organisational Development, Change Management and Leadership

  • Bachelor’s degree of a minimum of 3 years.

  • A degree equivalent to 3 years of a bachelor’s degree will also make a candidate eligible for TISSNET eligibility 2023 to apply for this PG programme. The main concern in this context is that the candidate must have formal education of at least 15 years (pattern of the formal: 10+2+3 or 10+2+2+1 or 10+2+4).

  • Professional experience of candidates for 2 years in any field is mandatory.

Master of Hospital Administration (MHA)

  • 3-years bachelor’s degree in any one discipline or

  • 4-years bachelor’s medicine, Pharmacy, Veterinary Sciences, Paramedical Sciences, Law and Engineering (bachelor’s degree in any of these domains)

  • Completion of candidates’ internship is mandatory

  • Candidates’ in the final year of their bachelor’s degree are not eligible for this programme

If the you have provided your name in the application without initials then you might face an issue during document verification as the details must be same in the documents and the details furnished in the application form.

With reference to your above mentioned query, i would like to tell you that the TISSNET cutoff varies every year and is different for different category students.

However, looking at the previous year cutoff trends, the minimum TISSNET cutoff for OBC Category students in 2022 is expected to be in the range of 60-70 marks.
