JAM Eligibility Criteria 2021 - The conducting body will release the IIT JAM 2021 eligibility criteria in the second week of July 2021 at the official website. It is very essential to match the eligibility criteria for IIT JAM before filling the application form, otherwise, the student application will get rejected. IIT JAM eligibility criteria 2021 is the minimum marks/aggregate which must be scored by the candidate in the last qualifying degree (UG) to be able to appear for the Joint Admission Test. The eligibility criteria for IIT JAM differs with respect to the course that the student wants to pursue. The candidates have to make sure that they refer to the IIT JAM eligibility criteria 2021 before filling up the application form.
The eligibility criteria for IIT JAM will differ with respect to the courses offered by the participating institutes of JAM.
The aspiring candidates who wish to appear for the JAM 2021 entrance test must ensure that they hold a bachelor’s degree in the respective field.
The aspirants who are still pursuing their graduation must make sure that they submit the marksheet of the qualifying examination to the institute before the last date of submission.
The JAM committee has the right to cancel the candidature for admissions at any stage if they find that the candidates are not complying with the rules and regulations laid down by them.
The conducting body will release the IIT JAM 2021 application form in the first week of September 2020 through JOAPS portal. The last date to fill and submit the IIT JAM application form 2021 will be the second week of October 2020. Candidates first need to register themselves at the JOAPS portal by submitting their important details such as name, mobile no, email ID, and password. After which the candidate has to login in to their account and submit contact, educational, and personal details in the JAM 2021 application form. After the details have been submitted successfully then the candidates have to pay the IIT JAM application fee in online mode via net banking/credit/debit card/UPI. Candidates must ensure that they submit their details accurately in the IIT JAM 2021 application form as most of the notifications regarding the admission process will be sent via SMS on the mobile phone.
JAM 2021 eligibility criteria states that candidates belonging to the general category should have scored at least 55% aggregate whereas the SC/ST candidates should have scored at least 50% aggregate in the last qualifying exam.
If you don’t match the JAM 2021 criteria criteria, then your application will be rejected by the JAM committee.
Students who want to enroll for admission in the M.Sc Chemistry programme offered through IIT JAM should have done their Bachelors degree with Chemistry as a subject for over 3 years or six semesters.
Mathematics subject in grade 10+2 is required as an eligibility criterion for some of the programmes offered through IIT JAM but not all. Candidates can check out the JAM eligibility criteria table above.

To be eligible for M.Sc Mathematics through IIT JAM you must have studied Mathematics for minimum two years or four semesters in your Engineering irrespective of your discipline to be eligible.If you have studied Mathematics as mentioned above you can apply for it.
It doesn't depends upon your branch it depends upon the subject you studied and your privious degree score .
For MSc in physics eligibility criteria is if you have scored more than 55% or 5.5 CGPA and 50% or 5 CGPA (for SC/ST category) in your privious degree and have studied physics for 2 years or 4 semester and maths for 1 year or 2 semester then you are eligible if not then not .
