For the past four to five years, the CPGET cutoffs for postgraduate programmes have not changed. According to the CPGET cutoff analysis, candidates in the general and OBC categories must receive a score of at least 25 in order to be considered for the CPGET 2025 merit list, which is based on the college-by-college cutoff rank.
However, in previous years, the university did not publish a CPGET cutoff for applicants in the SC and ST categories. If the admission board determines that a change in the admissions standards is necessary, the trend this year may change or stay the same.
Following the CPGET cutoff, the counseling process for various courses will be conducted in three stages. Candidates are invited to the second round of CPGET 2025 counseling, depending on the number of seats available from the first round. Similarly, candidates are shortlisted to the merit list for the CPGET counseling session for the third phase of counseling after the availability of seats is assessed following the completion of the second phase of counseling.
In order to secure their seat, candidates who passed the CPGET cutoff 2025 and got selected for the counseling session have to pay the entry fee on the day of the session. On the day of the counseling session, candidates have to bring their CPGET admit card 2025, rank card, qualifying exam certificates, proof of certificate (if applicable), and a printout of the counseling fee receipt, per Osmania University regulations.
The cutoff for CPGET 2025 is expected to be 25% for general candidates, however candidates who belong to reserved categories have no cutoff for CPGET.
