IGNOU B.Ed 2026 Result Tie-Breaking Criteria

In case two candidates secure the same rank in IGNOU B.Ed 2026, the following criteria will be used to break the tie fairly:

Candidates’ Qualifications

• Candidates who scored above 50% in their postgraduate programme receive 2 marks.

• Candidates who scored above 50% in their undergraduate programme receive 1 mark.

• If the tie persists, candidates with higher scores are given an advantage.

Candidates’ Age

• If the tie continues even after considering the candidates' qualifications, we prioritise based on their age. Older candidates will be given preference.
