NEST Application Form 2020 - NISER Bhubaneswar along with UM-DAE CBS has extended the NEST 2020 application deadline to May 31. Earlier, the last date of submitting the application form of NEST 2020 was May 6. NEST application form 2020 was released on January 8. Candidates who are willing to fill the NEST application form can fill and submit the applications before the last date of submission. NEST 2020 application form is available in online mode. To fill the application form of NEST 2020, candidates need to first register themselves at nest login portal. After completing the registration process, candidates need to fill the NEST application form 2020 and make the payment of application fee. National entrance Screening Test has been postponed until further notice. The exam will be held at around 91 different exam centres. How to fill NEST Application Form 2020

The process of filling the NEST 2020 application form is classified in four steps.

Step 1: Registration

  • Visit the official link nestexam.in

  • Click on “ Online Application ” tab.


  • After this, the registration form will be open. Fill in the below-given details required in the registration form

  1. Applicants Name

  2. Class 10 Roll Number/Seat Number

  3. Mobile Number

  4. Email ID

  5. Date of Birth

  6. Gender


After entering all the details click on ‘Register’. Candidates will receive a Username and Password on their registered mobile number. Candidates will be sent an email containing the login link on their registered email ID.

Step 2: Login

  • Click on the link provided in the email.

  • A candidate login page will open.

  • Enter the user ID and password received through the SMS.

  • Click on “log in”

Step 3: Personal Details and Educational Qualification

After logging in, candidates will be asked to fill the application form of NEST 2020. Candidates need to enter the following details in NEST application form 2020.


  • Exam City preference

Candidates will be asked to select a maximum of five exam centres from the exam centres available in the dropdown list. Click on ‘Save and Next’ after choosing the preferences.


  • Educational Qualification

Now, applicants need to enter the details related to the academic background. Candidates appearing for final year examination or waiting for the result need not fill the percentage of marks in the application form of NEST.

Step 4: Application Fee Payment

After filling all the details successfully in NEST 2020 application form, candidates need to pay the application fee either by using a credit card, debit card or net banking. After the payment is processed, candidates will be directed to a declaration at the end of which they need to click on ‘I Agree’ tab.

NEST 2020 Eligibility Criteria

It is advised that the candidates must check the eligibility criteria of NEST 2020 to know the academic qualification, age limit and other essential requirements. As per NEST eligibility criteria 2020, candidates belonging to the General and OBC candidates must have completed their intermediate examination with at least 60 per cent from a recognized board, whereas candidates belonging to SC/ST categories must have secured minimum 55 per cent. Candidates must also be born on or after August 2000. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category will get 5 years age relaxation. Candidates belonging to the reserved category will be asked to submit their reservation eligibility during the NEST counselling process.

NEST Exam Centres 2020

The entrance examination will be conducted in 91 different exam centres of NEST 2020. The examination will be conducted in two different sessions. I.e, 9 am - 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm - 6 pm. Candidates need to select their preferences of NEST exam centres while filling out the application form. The exam centre once allotted will be considered as final and no request for change of centre will be entertained.

what are the minimum marks needed to clear the NEST exam ?

The cutoff varies every year. If you are an unreserved candidate, a minimum rank of 500 will get you into CEBS or NISER in first round counselling. AIR 1000 for reserved categories.

There are high chances for you if you score around 50% in the NEST exam.

  • For each section, 20% of the average of the best 100 scores in that section will be considered as Section wise Minimum Admissible Score (SMAS).
  • It means if the average of the best 100 scores in Chemistry section will be 40 out of 50, then SMAS for this section will be 40 x 0.20 = 8 marks. This process is similar to other section also.
  • Candidates should secure equal to or more than particular SMAS in the General section & also in at least three subject sections. Then, these subject sections will be counted in merit list calculation. In case, candidate’s scores SMAS in all four subjects sections, then the best three subject scores will be counted.
  • In a case, candidates not score SMAS in the general section or at least three subject sections, then they will not be allotted any merit rank & will not be eligible for admission.

the eligibility criteria is

candidates must have pass 12th course from a recognized university in the year of 2019/2018  are eligible to apply.  candidate from general category should have secured minimum aggregate of 60% marks. For ST/SC candidates, minimum aggregate marks are 55%. candidates must have studies mathematics, physics, chemistry , biology or life science as a subject in 10+2 course.

there is no separate qualifying score applicable to each subject. there will be two paper, in section 1 there is general aptitude questions, Section 2 will contain questions from Biology, Section 3 from Chemistry, Section 4 from Mathematics and Section 5 from Physics. Candidates have to attempt any three other sections after attempting Section I.

Hi there,
There are lot of new about jee mains like there are some chances of cancelling jee advance so by seeing all those things
In my opinion the second jee mains paper would be conducted around 1-2 week of june before that there is not high chances of the exam to happen
So prepare well for the exam. And try to score more tha  250.
