NEST Application Form 2020 - NISER Bhubaneswar along with UM-DAE CBS will release the NEST 2020 application form in the first week of January 2020. Candidates who are willing to fill the application form of NEST 2020 can fill and submit the applications by the third week of March 2020. NEST application form 2020 will be only available in online mode. To fill the application form of NEST 2020, candidates need to first register themselves. After completing the registration process, candidates need to fill the NEST application form 2020 and make the payment of application fee. National entrance Screening Test will be conducted in the first week of June 2020 in around 91 different exam centres. Candidates must also check the eligibility criteria for various offered programmes before filling NEST application form 2020. NEST 2020 Eligibility Criteria

It is advised that the candidates must check the eligibility criteria of NEST 2020 to know the academic qualification, age limit and other essential requirements. As per NEST eligibility criteria 2020, candidates belonging to the General and OBC candidates must have completed their intermediate examination with at least 60 per cent from a recognized board, whereas candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories must have secured minimum 55 per cent. Candidates must also be born on or after August 2000. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category will get 5 years age relaxation. Candidates belonging to the reserved category will be asked to submit their reservation eligibility during the NEST counselling process.

  • High School and Intermediate mark sheet/ certificates

  • Scanned image of signature (.jpg/ .jpeg format; max- 80 kb)

  • Passport size photograph (.jpg/ .jpeg format; max- 80 kb)

How to fill NEST Application Form 2020

The process of filling the NEST 2020 application form is classified in four steps.

Step 1: Registration

  • Visit the official link (the link will be active, as soon as the application form will be active)

  • Click on “ Online Application ” tab.

  • The registration form will be open. Fill in the below-given details required in the registration form

  1. Applicants Name

  2. Class 10 Roll Number/Seat Number

  3. Mobile Number

  4. Email ID

  5. Date of Birth

  6. Gender

After entering all the details click on ‘Register’. Candidates will receive a Username and Password on their registered mobile number. Candidates will be sent an email containing the login link on their registered email ID.

Step 2: Login

  • Click on the link provided in the email.

  • A candidate login page will open.

  • Enter the user ID and password received through the SMS.

  • Click on “log in”

Step 3: Personal Details and Educational Qualification

After logging in, candidates will be asked to fill the application form of NEST 2020. Candidates need to enter the following details in NEST application form 2020.

  • Exam City preference

Candidates will be asked to select a maximum of five exam centres from the exam centres available in the dropdown list. Click on ‘Save and Next’ after choosing the preferences

  • Educational Qualification

Now, applicants need to enter the details related to the academic background. Candidates appearing for final year examination or waiting for the result need not fill the percentage of marks in the application form of NEST.

  • Year of passing

  • Percentage of marks scored

Class 12 details

  • Name of Board

  • Year of Passing

  • Percentage of Marks scored

  • Upload Photograph and signature

Click on “click here to upload” to upload the scanned image and photograph. The photograph must necessarily have a white background and should not be more than six months old from the date of application.

Step 4: Application Fee Payment

After filling all the details successfully in NEST 2020 application form, candidates need to pay the application fee either by using a credit card, debit card or net banking. After the payment is processed, candidates will be directed to a declaration at the end of which they need to click on ‘I Agree’ tab.

NEST Exam Centres 2020

The entrance examination will be conducted in 91 different exam centres of NEST 2020. The examination will be conducted in two different sessions. I.e, 9 am - 12: 30 pm and 2: 30 pm - 6 pm. Candidates need to select their preferences of NEST exam centres while filling out the application form. The exam centre once allotted will be considered as final and no request for change of centre will be entertained.

  • The application form of NEST 2020 will be available from the first week of January 2020 in the official website of NEST.

  • The application fee payment can be done only in online mode.

Ques: Can I request for a change in the exam centre of NEST 2020?

Ans: No, exam centre once allotted in the admit card of NEST 2020 cannot be changed. Candidate must make their preferences very carefully while filling the NEST 2020 application form.

Ques: Where will I get my user credentials?

Ans: After filling the registration form of NEST 2020, candidates will receive the user ID and password in their registered email id and mobile number.

Ques: I am unable to upload my passport size photograph while filling out the application form of NEST. What should I do?

Ans: Candidates must check the size of an image must not be more than 80 kb. The image must also be either in .jpeg or jpg format.

Ques: Can I pay the NEST 2020 application fee through demand draft?

Ans: The application fee of NEST 2020 can only be paid in online mode either by credit card, debit card or net banking.

  • Registration:- Since , you are done with registration, follow the below steps.

Hi Sonu, 

The total number of seats in NISER, Bubhaneshwar, is only around 172. And there are thousands of candidates competing for this. I am sorry to say that getting a seat in NISER with 74.853 is quite impossible. Do not lose hope. You can ask to try next year again.

Hi Hemlata, 

The predicted cutoff rank for OBC is 280, this year. Lat year it was around 400 rank. But competition has increased a lot this year. You can try for 2nd counselling. Do not lose hope. If you are so passionate about it, you can also go for a break year.

 NEST 2019 Counselling will be held in two Rounds:

Round 1 of NEST 2019 Counselling- A joint modified merit list will be prepared on the basis of original merit list and the attendance at NISER and CBS. The admissions will be approved strictly on the basis of the merit list.

Round 2 of NEST 2019 Counselling- The applicants are admitted to the vacant seats of the institutes after the first round of counselling. The names of the waitlisted candidates will be announced by the participating institutions on their respective websites.

Last year, the numbers of seats available at the two institutions are as follows:
