How to fill NEST Application Form 2021
The application form of NEST 2021 has been released on February 24. Candidates are required to fill their active mobile number and email address while filling the NEST 2021 application form, as the further communications by the university will be done on the same communication details. Following are the steps which a candidate must follow in order to successfully fill and submit NEST application form 2021.
Step 1 - Registration
Visit the official website of NEST.
Candidates now need to click on the “ Online Application ” tab.
The registration form will appear on the screen.
Enter the following information required in the application form.

Class 10 Roll Number/Seat Number
Candidates need to click on ‘Register’ after entering all the asked details.
The user ID and password will be sent to the candidates on their registered mobile number
An email will be sent to the candidates carrying the link for login page and login credentials.
Step 2 - Login
Click on the link provided on the mobile number and email address.
A candidate login page will appear on the screen.
Enter the user ID and password received through the email or SMS.
Click on “log in”
Step 3 - Personal Details and Educational Qualification
The personal information like date of birth, roll number, name of the candidate, registration number, mobile number and email ID will be pre-filled in the registration form.
No editing will be allowed in the personal details.
In case of any wrong details filled in the application form, candidates can write to email@example.com or call 022-61306277 with user ID, registration number and applicant’s name.
Exam City preference
Candidates can now select exam centre preferences for the entrance test. A maximum of five exam centres can be selected by a candidate from the available list. After saving the options and preferences, they need to click on ‘Save and Next’ after choosing the preferences.
Enter the education details related to the academic background asked in the application form. Those candidates who are appearing for final year examination or waiting for the result need not fill the percentage of marks in the application form of NEST.

Step 4 - Upload Photograph and signature
Candidates now need to click on the “click here to upload” to upload the scanned image and photograph.
Upload the required documents such as a scanned copy of photograph and signature in the required specifications.
The photograph must necessarily have a white background and should not be more than six months old from the date of application.

Step 5 - Application Fee Payment
Candidates now need to pay the application fee either by using a credit card, debit card or net banking, once they are done with filling all the details asked in the application form.
Candidates will be directed to a declaration page once the payment is processed. Further, they need to click on the ‘I Agree’ tab.

Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of NEST 2021 before the application form for admissions. The NEST eligibility criteria 2021 is the minimum academic qualification and other requirements needed to be eligible to apply for admission to programmes offered by the two institutes, NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS. Candidates must keep in mind the following NEST 2021 eligibility criteria before applying for admissions.
Candidates must have passed 10+2 examinations with a minimum of 60% marks from any recognized university.
For candidates belonging to SC/ST/Divyangjan category, there will be a relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum percentage of marks required.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST category will get 5 years age relaxation. The candidates belonging to the General/OBC must be born on or after August 1, 2001.
Candidates can check the list of NEST 2021 exam centres before filling the application form to make their preferences. They will be given the option to select maximum five exam centres of NEST 2021 of their choices. The allotted NEST exam centre 2021 will be mentioned on the admit card released before the examination. There will be a total of 92 different exam centres of NEST 2021 in different cities around the country.
The entrance examination of NEST 2021 will be conducted on August 14. The admit card date of NEST 2021 will be issued to the registered candidates on August 3. NEST admit card 2021 will be available on the official website of NEST. Candidates must know their used ID and password to download the admit card of NEST 2021. Why people born in 2000 cannot appear in nest 2021
I am assuming that you belong to general/obc category.
You are not eligible for nest examination with your date of birth in 2000.
This is because,
As per eligibility criteria of nest examination , there is age limit according to which those who are from general/OBC category must be born either on or after 1st August , 2001.
In case if you belong to Sc or St or pwd category then with your date of birth in 2000 you will be eligible for NEST examination because for SC/ ST/ PwD category there's a relaxation of 5 years on age limit.

I would be giving you the information about the exam pattern after which you will be crystal clear of your mind.
The duration will be of 3.5 hrs. There are multiple choice questions. There will be four sections. Section 1 has 50 marks and section 2-4 has 50 marks each. So the total is 200. There will be negative marking too. For every wrong answer 1/4 marks will be deducted.

The NISER and UM-DAE CEBS has extended the deadline to fill NEST 2021 application form till May 20 but there is no information regarding the postponement of NEST 2021. So as of now the entrance exam of NEST 2021 will be conducted on June 14, in online mode unless there is any information regarding postponement form officials.
