    The National Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhubaneswar (NISER), in collaboration with the Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai releases the list of NEST 2026 exam centres. Candidates are advised to go through the exam centres of NEST 2026 to fill their preferred choices for the test centres.

    The university will conduct the NEST 2026 through 140 NEST exam cities 2026. NISER, in collaboration with UM-DAE CEBS will conduct the NEST entrance test on July 6.     There are 140 major cities across the country that will conduct the online NEST Exam. According to their preferences and convenience, candidates should select their NEST 2026 exam centre.     Candidates should follow the steps mentioned below on how to select NEST exam centres:

    • Fill and submit the NEST application form within the deadline.

    • While filling the application form, select up to 3 cities as a preference in city centre section.

    • The duration of the NEST 2026 exam is three hours and thirty minutes.

    Yes , the NEST exam is generally considered tougher than NEET as it requires more focus towards conceptual understanding and thinking , while NEET generally tests NCERT based knowledge where as in NEST it requires you to have deeper clarity in Physics , Chemistry , Biology and Mathematics.
