The counselling sessions will be conducted for the candidates who have qualified in the NEST 2025 exam. The NEST result 2025 along with the scorecard was announced on July 10. The purpose of the National Entrance Screening Test is to grant admission to M.Sc. programmes at UM-DAE CEBS in Mumbai and NISER, Bhubaneswar. The NISER NEST result 2025 link is shared below. The NEST 2025 counselling is conducted offline by NISER, Bhubaneswar, and UMDAE CEBS. Candidates have to show up for the NEST counselling sessions at the designated location on the designated day and time. All necessary documentation needs to be submitted by candidates for verification prior to the NEST 2025 counselling procedure. The merit list at the institution is prepared based on NISER result 2025.
In order to attend the counselling, applicants have to submit the NEST 2025 application form.
Depending on how convenient it is for them, candidates can select the venue of their choice for the NEST 2025 counselling session.
Following the verification of the original documents, candidates are permitted to continue with the process.
To be eligible for the reserved category, candidates must show the relevant certificate.
During NEST 2025 counselling, candidates have to choose a college and a preferred course.
To be admitted to the designated college, candidates must submit a demand draft for the necessary payment.
The authorities will give candidates an offer letter, which they can use to enroll in the chosen college and course.
For verification, candidates have to bring all necessary documentation to the NEST counselling session. Verification of the documents is required to complete the admissions process. The following documents are needed for the NEST 2025 counselling.

Aadhaar Card (Original + 1 photocopy)
Class 10th/ matriculation certificate (Original + 1 photocopy)

Valid certificate of disability for admission against Divyangjan category (Original + 1 photocopy)
Valid Domicile certificate for admission against J&K category (original + 1 photocopy)
Note: All of the above documents have to be photocopied.
Candidates have to comply with the procedures outlined for withdrawing seats if they would like to stop participating in the NEST 2025 counselling and withdraw their admission.

Candidates from the reserved category who apply for admission will be given reservations by NISER and CEBS. Additionally, a specific percentage of seats are reserved by NISER and CEBS for candidates from Jammu and Kashmir who are SC/ST, OBC-NCL, PwD, and Supernumerary Quota candidates.

Note: Those who fail to present their category certificate at the time of counselling will be considered as general category students.
During the admissions process, OBC-NCL students are given preference for 27% of the available seats. It should be mentioned that OBC applicants are not regarded as being eligible for reservations. These applicants receive the same treatment as those in the general category. According to the state government, even applicants who are members of the Socially and Educationally Backward Class must meet the requirements of the OBC NCL in order to be eligible for the reservation.
While 7.5% of the seats will be set aside for candidates from the ST category, 15% of the seats will be reserved for applicants from the SC category. Candidates must bring the necessary paperwork, such as a caste certificate, to the admission committee at the time of admission in order to be eligible for the reservation.
Five percent of the seats will be set aside for candidates in the PwD category. Candidates must produce a disability certificate that complies with the most recent regulations set forth by the Indian government.
Jammu & Kashmir candidates would be given preference for two supernumerary seats at both NISER Bhubaneswar and UMDAE-CBS. Candidates must have finished their 12th grade education from the State Board of Jammu and Kashmir or from schools associated with the CBSE in order to be eligible for the supernumerary quota.

Yes , the NEST exam is generally considered tougher than NEET as it requires more focus towards conceptual understanding and thinking , while NEET generally tests NCERT based knowledge where as in NEST it requires you to have deeper clarity in Physics , Chemistry , Biology and Mathematics.
