JAM Admission List 2018: IIT Bombay, the organising institute of Joint Admission Test for M.Sc programmes (JAM) 2018 will be publishing admission list of JAM 2018 on May 22, 2018. The candidates who qualify the JAM 2018 examination can check for their names in the JAM admission list 2018. Once the candidates apply for admission, the institute will subsequently release two more admission lists of JAM 2018 on June 12 and June 29 respectively. IIT Bombay will release its first admission list of JAM 2018 after carefully considering the choices made by candidates for the courses and the IITs and their JAM scores. While filling the JAM admission form 2018, the candidates are required to make their choices for their preferred courses and institutes. After the third admission list of JAM 2018 is out and once the counselling is done, the JAM 2018 admission process will close on July 4, 2018.

Details of JAM Admission List 2018
The details of JAM 2018 admission list are given below. Those candidates who have filled the JAM admission form 2018 can read here all the relevant information they need to know regarding JAM 2018 admission list.
As per the JAM 2018 counselling, number of candidates in the order of their preference (for the course and institute) and corresponding rank will be shortlisted in the first admission list of JAM 2018.
Once a candidate’s name is listed in the first JAM 2018 admission list, he/ she would be required to choose among the three options–Accept and Freeze, Accept with Upgrade, and Reject and Quit.
If a candidate chooses either Accept and Freeze or Accept with Upgrade option, he/ she needs to pay Rs. 10,000 (Rs. 5,000 for SC/ ST/ PwD) as Seat Booking Fee in online mode using Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking options.
Those who select the Reject and Quit option will receive a One Time Password (OTP) on their registered mobile number.
Once the first round of counselling of JAM 2018 is over, IIT Bombay will publish the JAM 2018 second admission list for second round of counselling and admissions into M.Sc programmes at IIT and IISc with the remaining seats.
The candidates need to login through their registered accounts and choose one amongst the three options stated above.
Those who have not been offered any seat through the first round of JAM 2018 admission list, will need to pay the Seat Booking Fee, if they choose one among ‘Accept and Freeze’, and ‘Accept with Upgrade’ options.
However, those who have been offered a seat in the First Admission List of JAM 2018 and are being offered a seat in the second JAM 2018 admission list by the higher order of preference need not to pay any Seat Booking Fee.
If a candidate who has been offered a seat in JAM 2018 but wishes to cancel the offer can do so by choosing ‘Withdraw’ option within the JAM admission dates.
Further, if any seat remains vacant even after the second admission list of JAM 2018, IIT Bombay will declare the Third and Final Admission List of JAM 2018.
The candidates offered a seat through the JAM 2018 seat admission list must report to the admitting institute along with the required documents to complete their admission process.
With the publication of third JAM admission list 2018 and allotment of seats, the JAM counselling 2018 comes to an end.
Note – If any candidate accepts the offered seat through JAM first admission list 2018, the lower preference of IITs chosen by candidates will automatically get cancelled. However, the candidates will be called in for higher preferences, provided the seats remain vacant in subsequent JAM admission lists. Also, candidates also must note that if a candidate fails to accept the admission offer, he/ she will not be considered further in the JAM admission process.
