• A procedure known as "accept and freeze" is applied to applicants who are accepted for JAM 2026. • A valid certificate needs to be uploaded for candidates in the OBC or EWS categories. They will be categorised as general category students if they don't comply.

• Candidates may revoke their admission to the designated participating IIT JAM institute by using the "Reject and Quit" option. The candidate will receive a refund to their account after paying a seat cancellation charge of Rs 1000. A one-time password must be entered in order for the seat cancellation to be confirmed.
