JAM 2027 Eligibility Criteria

The JAM eligibility criteria depend on the subject and also on the category. Read the table below to learn about the JAM eligibility criteria 2027.

JAM Application Form 2027

IIT Kharagpur will release the JAM 2027 application form on September 12, 2026. Aspirants must keep their documents ready before filling out the JAM application form. Students will get at least a month to fill out the JAM 2027 registration form. The IIT Kharagpur will close the registration window on October 12, 2026. In order to fill the JAM 2027 application form, students must complete the four steps- Registration, Filling of details, Uploading documents, and Paying the application fee.

The application fee for the JAM 2027 differs for the category and the number of subjects. After the completion of the JAM 2027 registration, the IIT Kharagpur will open the JAM 2027 correction window on November 10. Through the JAM correction window, students can make corrections if made in the application form. There is also charges applicable if any category change is found.

JAM Syllabus 2027

The JAM syllabus is available at the JOAPS portal. The IIT JAM 2027 syllabus serves as a guide to the topics that will be tested in the exam and is of BSc level. Students should go through the JAM 2027 syllabus to prepare for the exam. Here is the list of IIT JAM subjects:

IIT JAM Exam Pattern 2027

Aspirants who have started preparation for the JAM academic session 2027 must know the exam pattern properly. Study the JAM exam pattern and start preparing by considering this. The table below also contains the JAM marking scheme.

JAM 2027 Mock Test

IIT Kharagpur will activate the JAM 2027 mock test link on the JOAPS portal before the exam. The JAM mock test is designed to give the same environment as in the actual test. Attempting mock tests is a crucial part of exam preparation. Attempting JAM 2027 mock tests helps to evaluate the performance of the candidates. It can also assist candidates with their strengths and weaknesses. Solving mock tests also helps to improve their marks.

IIT JAM 2027 Admit Card

Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur will release the IIT JAM 2027 admit card at least a month before the exam. Students who are going to appear for the exam must bring the admit card to the centre. Without the valid JAM admit card and relevant documents, no one will be admitted. The IIT JAM 2026 admit card contains the candidates' and the exam details. Aspirants will be able to check the exam schedule and the allotted exam centre address on the JAM 2027 admit card PDF.

IIT JAM Answer Key 2027

The JAM answer key is expected to be released in February 2027. Students who have taken the exam can check and match their answer keys with the response sheet. Both the JAM answer key and candidates response sheet will be available at the JOAPS portal. The JAM answer key will be released in two different formats. The IIT Kharagpur will release the JAM 2027 provisional answer key first. Students can also raise objection against the answer key. After evaluating this, the final answer key will be published. The IIT JAM 2026 answer key helps the candidates to calculate raw marks.

IIT JAM 2027 Result

Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur will declare the JAM 2027 result on March 18. The JAM results are totally based on the final answer keys. The IIT JAM result will determine the final score of the marks obtained by the students in the IIT JAM exam 2026. The IIT JAM 2027 result PDF contains the raw marks obtained by the candidates in each paper.

IIT JAM 2027 Score Card

The IIT JAM 2027 scorecard will be released in March. Candidates who appeared for the IIT JAM exam 2027 can download the JAM scorecard by logging in using their login credentials on the JOAPS portal. The IIT JAM scorecard contains details about the name of the candidate, marks secured and other details.

JAM Cut Off 2027

The JAM 2027 cut-off will be released by the different participating institutions. The JAM cut-off depends on the applications received by the respective institutions. The IIT JAM cut-off varies depending on several factors like the category of the student, the subject, the difficulty level of the exam, the number of students who appeared, and the marks secured by the students. Candidates can estimate their cutoff marks by going through the JAM previous year cutoff.

JAM Opening and Closing Rank 2027

The JAM participating institutions will release the cut-offs in the form of opening and closing ranks. The IIT JAM opening and closing ranks will be released by the conducting body on their official website, following the release of the JAM score card. The IIT JAM opening and closing ranks are the minimum and maximum ranks that a candidate needs to secure in order to be eligible for admission.

JAM 2027 Participating Institutions

There are about 23 IITs that directly take part in the JAM counselling process. However, different NITs are also using the JAM rank for admission in their institutions. Students may visit the official website to learn about the participating universities. It helps them to know in which university one needs to take admission in.

JAM Counselling 2027

The JAM counselling will be conducted by the IIT Kharagpur. The IIT JAM counselling process, known as the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). The counselling process starts by filling out an application for the respective institutions. Students must visit the respective institutions’ websites to know about the counselling dates and processes.
