JAM Counselling 2017 – Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has begun counselling of JAM 2017 on April 12, along with opening of application window for JAM admissions 2017. Candidates who have appeared in Joint Admission Test for M.Sc programmes (JAM) this year and qualified in the IIT Delhi administered M.Sc entrance test can begin to fill their admission form for JAM 2017 admissions. According to JAM counselling, candidates can submit the documents at IIT Delhi after rectification of the defective ones by the last date as notified by the IIT. After this, first admission list of JAM admissions 2017 will be announced. The JAM seat allotment list (first admission list of JAM 2017 counselling) will be based on the choices filled by the candidates and JAM scores. Once the candidates have accepted the offered seats, as many as two more subsequent JAM seat allotment lists (admission lists for counselling) will be announced before counselling process of JAM 2017 closes. JAM Counselling Schedule 2017
Candidates who have qualified JAM 2017 and are participating in JAM counselling rounds and seat allotment process can find below the JAM counselling schedule along with important dates and events.
JAM admission form window - Candidates can now fill the application form for JAM admissions 2017 between April 12 and April 25, 2017, through the official online application link available in this page.
JAM rectification of documents - Candidates can rectify the defective documents and upload them by May 8, 2017, for JAM 2017 counselling process.
JAM 2017 round 1 counselling - IIT Delhi will be announcing the first admission list for JAM 2017 on May 31, 2017 based on which candidates will be offered seats and apply to their respective IITs.
JAM 2017 round 2 counselling - IIT Delhi will be announcing the second admission list for JAM 2017 on June 16, 2017 based on which candidates will be offered the vacant seats and apply to their respective IITs.
JAM 2017 round 3 counselling - IIT Delhi will be announcing the third and final admission list for JAM 2017 on June 30, 2017 based on which candidates will be offered the remaining seats and apply to their respective IITs.

Candidates qualified in the IIT Delhi administered Joint Admission Test can apply for M.Sc programmes at the JAM participating IITs. The application form for JAM admissions is now available online on the page. Candidates can go through the application process of JAM 2017 admissions as mentioned below–
Candidates need to read and go through the number of seats offered by the IITs for each of the programmes.
They also need to create a choice list before filling JAM admission form 2017.
Moreover, the important documents as mentioned below in the table need to be kept ready before beginning JAM admission 2017 application process.
It should be noted that a candidate needs to fill only one JAM 2017 admission form mentioning all the programmes and IITs in the order of preference, irrespective of the number of qualifying papers (one or two).
Candidates must note that the JAM admission form, if found incomplete in any respect, or without having any requisite documents, will be summarily rejected.
Candidates also need to pay an application fee for JAM admissions 2017 through online mode using credit card/ debit card/ net banking.
No admission form for JAM 2017 will be entertained after the closure of application window.

JAM Counselling Process: Instructions
Candidates who have qualified JAM 2017 and hold valid JAM scores are eligible to apply for JAM counselling and admission process.
The JAM admission form can be filled online between the scheduled dates.
Candidates need to go through any additional requirements including suitability test, and interview for JAM counselling 2017.
The candidates also need to pay the fee for Jam admission form which can be remitted only online as no other mode will be applicable.
Candidates will be intimated about the offered seats by email at registered mail address/ SMS at registered mobile number/ official website.
Candidates can either accept or reject the offered seats using the online mode only.
Candidates also need to bring JAM admit card 2017 during reporting and attending admission formalities at the concerned IIT.
Once the offered seats have been accepted by candidates, they need to pay the seat booking fee online using credit card/ debit card/ net banking options.
Moreover, candidates need to note that admission counselling for institutions other than the IITs, including IISERs, NITs and CFTIs will be held through CCMN 2017.
JAM Counselling Process 2017
Candidates will be considered for JAM admissions only to those programmes as mentioned in the admission form of JAM 2017.
IIT Delhi will be declaring First Admission List for JAM 2017 on May 29, mentioning the name of candidates considering the order of preference and their corresponding rank.
Candidates who have been offered seats through JAM 2017 counselling need to log in through their registered candidate id and choose one of the three options–Accept and Freeze, Accept with Upgrade, and Reject and Quit.
Candidates going for Accept and Freeze, and Accept with Upgrade options will need to pay the ‘Seat Booking Fee’ of the requisite amount through online payment modes using Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking.
However, the candidates who opt for Reject and Quit option will receive an OTP (One Time Password) on their registered mobile number and email address, which further should be entered on the online system to reject the offered seat during JAM counselling 2017.
With the remaining seats (vacant seats) after the first round of JAM counselling 2017, the IIT Delhi will be announcing the JAM 2017 second admission list.
Similarly, the candidates who have been offered admissions for the first time through the second round of JAM counselling, need to choose one of the three options–Accept and Freeze, Accept with Upgrade, and Reject and Quit and pay the Seat Booking Fees if accepted the offered seat.
Moreover, the candidates who have been offered a seat of higher preference as per the second admission list of JAM 2017 need to log in and choose one of those three options, but need not pay the Seat Booking Fees again.
The candidates who have been offered seats can cancel the same between June 16 and June 21, 2017, and choose to withdraw.
In the case of withdrawal of the seat, an amount of Rs. 1000 will be deducted from their Seat Booking Fee and the final amount will be refunded to their accounts.
The IIT Delhi will be publishing the third and final seat allotment list for JAM 2017 admissions on June 30, 2017.
The candidates who have been offered a seat (or upgraded to the higher choice of preference) need to report to the allotted IIT along with the documents required for eligibility verification, based on their seat offer letter.
If the candidate fails to accept the admission offer, he/ she will not be considered further for JAM admission process.
With the publication of third and final seat allotment list of JAM, the counselling-cum-admission process closes.
