IIT JAM Counselling Process 2027

Counselling is an important step in the JAM 2027 admission process. Students are advised to follow the points mentioned below to get a better understanding of JAM 2027 counselling.

• Selected candidates first need to register themselves for the JAM counselling and fill out their preferred choices in terms of colleges and courses.

• As soon as the registration closes, IIT Kharagpur will release the JAM admission list in the form of opening and closing rank. Students can check this list on their website.

• As the next step, they will be called by the institution for counselling.

• Institution will then ask for the documents for verification.

• Successful candidates will have three options to choose.

1. Accept and Freeze- Candidates will accept their allotted seats and reserve the seat by paying seat booking fees.

2. Accept and Upgrade- They accept their seat and also look for the better option.

3. Reject and Quit- In the last option, candidates can withdraw their name from IIT JAM admission list. This will also cease further involvement in any counselling round.

Documents Required for IIT JAM Counselling 2027

Students need to present some documents during the counselling. They are also advised to take the documents in original as well as in photocopies.

• Govt issued photo identity proof

• Birth certificate

• Marks sheet of Class 10th and 12th

• Certificate of Class 10th and 12th

• Bachelor’s degree mark sheet (last semester, if studying in final year)

• Bachelor’s degree certificate

• Transfer certificate from college

• IIT JAM scorecard 2027

• PwD certificate (if applicable)

• Certificate of nationality (for General category)

IIT JAM 2027 Counselling: Seat Reservation Fees

Candidates who are satisfied with their JAM seat allotment will submit their seat booking fees in any of the following payment options such as debit card, credit card, net banking and UPI. Submission of JAM seat reservation 2027 fees means students are now taking admission in allotted institutes or ready to take part in the further process. IIT JAM Counselling 2027: Opening and Closing Rank

Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has released the merit list in the form of IIT JAM opening and closing rank in online mode. The JAM opening and closing rank will be published for 5 rounds. Candidates can download the JAM 2027 opening and closing list by visiting the official website. Candidates can also check their category wise ranks in the list.
