JNU Registration 2024
Jawaharlal Nehru University released the JNU UG application form on August 2 in online mode at its official website. Candidates seeking JNU admission in UG programmes could fill out and submit the JNU admission form 2024 at the official website of the university - jnu.ac.in till August 14. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of their desired programme before filling the JNU application form and enter all the details correctly.
JNU 2024 Application Form - Important Points
The JNU UG application form was released on August 2.
The application form for JNU 2024 has been made available through online mode.
Firstly, candidates’ registration is required for which they have to provide the basic details like name, father’s name, email, DOB, and others.
The authority will also provide a correction facility to the candidates after the completion of the registration process.
After providing all the information and uploading the documents, candidates have to pay the required application fee.
Candidates must take the printout of the application form for future reference.
For the academic session 2024-25, Jawaharlal Nehru University will accept the CUET-UG scores for admission to BA (Hons.) in foreign languages, school of Sanskrit and Indic Studies. B. Sc - M. Sc Integrated programme in Ayurveda Biology and Certificate of Proficiency Courses. The University accepts CUET-PG scores for admission to MA, M.Sc, MCA, MPH, M.Tech, post graduate diploma, and advanced diploma courses.
The Jawaharlal Nehru University will release the JNU 2024 three cut-offs for all the undergraduate and integrated postgraduate programmes to decide the qualifying marks.
How to Apply for JNU Admission 2024
Visit the online JNU admission portal at jnuee.jnu.ac.in.
Apply for “Online Registration” using a unique email id and mobile no.
Candidates have to fill the application form details like personal, educational, address and other information.
Uploading of scanned photo and signature.
Pay the application fee using SBI/Canara Bank payment gateway.
Download and print copies of the confirmation page after the successful application form and fee for future reference.

Candidates could pay the application fee by using SBI/ Syndicate/ Paytm payment gateway through a Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ UPI.

JNU CUET 2024 Exam Pattern
Following is the complete CUET exam pattern 2024 for UG/ PG admissions test:
JNU CUET UG Exam Pattern 2024
Mode of exam: The exam will be conducted through CBT mode (Computer Based Test).
Duration: The duration of the exam is - Slot 1: 2 Hours, Slot 2: 2 Hours, Slot 3: 3 hours
- Medium: The CUET paper is being conducted in 13 languages.
- Marking scheme: 1 mark will be given for every correct answer and there will be no negative marking.
Type of Questions: The question paper contains Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Number of questions: There are a total of 100 questions in the paper.
JNU CUET PG Exam Pattern 2024
Exam Mode: The CUET PG exam 2024 will be organised via online (computer based) mode.
Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded.
Negative marking: For each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted
Time Duration: Candidates have to solve the paper within 2 hours.
No. of Questions: Each question paper consists of 100 questions.
JNU Merit List 2024
Jawaharlal Nehru University has released the JNU 2024 second merit list on August 30, in online mode. The university published the first JNU UG 2024 merit list on August 24, in online mode. Candidates can visit the official website to check the merit list of JNU UG 2024.
The JNU merit list includes the name of the candidates who have qualified for the admissions. On the basis of the positions of students in the JNU 2024 merit list and the reservation criteria, candidates are invited for the document verification round of the JNU 2024 counselling process.
JNU Counselling 2024
The qualifying candidates need to attend the JNU counselling which includes verification of their official documents, remitting the semester fee, and fixing their seat in the first semester.
It must be noted that there is a certain official document that must be carried by the candidates for them to get verified by the authorities. Failure in presenting any one of the official documents will lead to the candidate’s disqualification. If you’ve filled the form for BA (Hons) in Foreign Languages at JNU, but forgot your language preference, here’s what you can do:
You can follow these steps to check your filled preferences:
1. Login to the JNU admission portal same where you applied via CUET.
2. Go to Application Form Preview or My Applications.
3. You’ll find your language preference list under the Course Details section.
If the portal is closed, wait for the correction window or contact the JNU admission helpdesk via email. They are helpful and often allow minor corrections before councelling.
So the language you chose impacts counseling and merit lists, so it’s important to double-check it.

Hello
The cutoff for BA (Hons) Persian at JNU for this year is 85% for General , 82.8% for OBC, 74.1 for SC, 65.9% for ST and 33.2% for PWD students. So, basically the cutoff varies according to the category.
As your score is 44%, it is difficult to get admission at JNU but if you belong from the categories mentioned above that offer the course at your score , you will get the admission at JNU .

With an 89 in CUET PG for Political Science as an ST candidate, you have a chance, but it's not a guarantee for JNU's MA Political Science program. JNU's cutoffs can vary but ST candidates generally need to score within the 165-175 range. Your score is close to this range, so securing a seat depends on the specific cutoffs for this year and your performance in any subsequent selection process (like interviews or group discussions) if applicable.
