JNU Eligibility Criteria 2020 - Jawaharlal Nehru University will release the JNU 2020 eligibility criteria along with the admission notification on March 2 in online mode at nta.jnu.nic.in. Candidates who wish to appear in the entrance examination of JNUEE 2020 must check the eligibility criteria of JNU 2020 to check whether they are eligible for admissions in their desired courses. The JNU eligibility criteria 2020 mentions the academic qualifications and other basic requirements needed for admissions in the university. The eligibility criteria of JNU 2020 will vary for different programmes. It must be noted that candidates appearing for JNUEE 2020 must fulfil JNU eligibility criteria 2020. No candidate will be offered a seat even if they clear the entrance examination if he/she is unable to fulfil the eligibility criteria of JNU 2020.

National Testing Agency will conduct JNUEE from May 11 to May 14, 2020, in a computer-based mode. The online examination will take place in 127 cities and 32 states (including Union Territories).

JNU Eligibility Criteria 2020

It is advised that the candidates appearing for JNUEE 2020 must go through the eligibility criteria of JNU 2020 before filling the application form. The eligibility criteria for different UG and PG programmes in JNU admission 2020 may vary based on stream and educational background. Candidates can check the JNU 2020 eligibility criteria given below as per the different programmes offered by the university.

JNU 2020 Eligibility Criteria for B.A (H) Arts

  • Candidates appearing for JNU admission must have completed Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination with a minimum of 45 per cent marks.

  • Candidates who are waiting to appear in Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination are also eligible to apply.

JNU Eligibility Criteria 2020 for M.A. in Geography, Economics, History, Political Science, Sociology, Philosophy and Development & Labour Studies

  • For admissions in M.A Political Science, candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 education pattern with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate of Social Sciences subjects and at least 55 per cent marks aggregate of Science & Technology subjects.

  • For admissions in M.A Geography and Sociology, candidates should have completed their Bachelor's Degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 academic pattern securing at least 45 per cent marks in aggregate of all subjects.

  • For admissions in M.A History and Development & Labour Studies programme, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 education pattern securing at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate of the subjects.

  • For admissions in M.A Economics programme, candidates must have a Bachelor Degree in any discipline securing at least 50 per cent marks aggregate, with knowledge of Mathematics at 10+2 level.

  • For admissions in M.A Philosophy, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education minimum 50 per cent marks in Social Sciences and Humanities. Candidates belonging to Science & Technology disciplines should have a minimum of 55 per cent marks.

JNU 2020 Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc in Life Sciences

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree either B.Sc. /B.Tech or Equivalent in Biological/ Physical/ Agricultural Sciences or Biotechnology stream from any state or central recognised Institute/ University.

  • Candidates must have obtained at least 55 per cent marks in aggregate of all subjects.

JNU Eligibility Criteria 2020 for M.Sc in Environmental Sciences

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any branch of Basic or Applied Sciences under 10+2+3 education pattern from school/ Institute/ University as recognised at the state or national level.

  • Candidates must have secured at least 55 per cent marks in aggregate of subjects of qualifying degree examination.

JNU 2020 Eligibility Criteria for M.A. in Politics (with specialization in International Studies)

  • Candidates must have completed their graduation in any discipline under 10+2+3 education pattern with minimum 50 per cent marks.

JNU Eligibility Criteria 2020 for M.A. in Economics (with Specialization in World Economy)

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor Degree in Economics (H) with Mathematics as an additional subject.

  • Candidates with a Bachelor degree in Mathematics (H) with Economics as an additional subject or bachelor degree in Statistics (H) with Mathematics and Economics as subsidiary subjects under 10+2+3 education pattern securing at least 50 per cent marks aggregate are also eligible.

JNU 2020 Eligibility Criteria for M.A.in French, German, Japanese, Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Persian, Linguistics, Russian, Spanish and Urdu

  • For admissions in M.A German, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 education pattern securing at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate with adequate proficiency in the German language.

  • For admissions in M.A English and Linguistics, candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 education pattern with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate.

  • For admissions in M.A languages courses other than English, Linguistics and German, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 education pattern securing at least 45 per cent marks aggregate with adequate proficiency in the language programme concerned.

JNU Eligibility Criteria 2020 for M.Sc in Physics

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with Physics as one of the subjects in any discipline under 10+2+3 education pattern securing at least 55 per cent marks in aggregate.

  • Candidates who have qualified Bachelor’s Degree either in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics combined or in Physics Honours or with B.Tech in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Computer are also eligible.

JNU 2020 Eligibility Criteria for MCA (Masters in Computer Applications)

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 education pattern from any state or Nationally recognised Institute or university.

  • Candidates must be competent adequately with at least 55 per cent marks at graduation level aggregate of all subjects.

JNU Eligibility Criteria 2020 for M.A. in Arts and Aesthetics

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 academic pattern.

  • Candidates need to have obtained a minimum of 50 per cent marks to be eligible for admissions.

JNU 2020 Eligibility Criteria for M.A. in Sanskrit

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sanskrit or in any subject under 10+2+3 education pattern from any recognised Institute or University.

  • Candidates should have a minimum of 45 per cent marks for admissions to M.A in Sanskrit.

JNU Application form 2020

Candidates can start with filling out the application form of JNU 2020 after checking the eligibility criteria of desired programmes. The JNU application form 29020 will be available in online mode from March 2, 2020. Interested candidates can fill the application form of JNU 2020 until March 31, 2020. The application fee of JNU 2020 can be paid in both offline and online mode.

According to the eligibility criteria of JNU 2020, there is no requirement of language proficiency certificate. Candidates must have adequate knowledge of German language, which will be tested during viva- voce round of JNUEE 2020.

The cost over here is very less compared to other colleges.
Thee fee structure for MA. Programs is 280 rupees only per semester
Well if you opt for hostel and mess it may go around 2000 rs

what is the course fees for ma economics?

The fees for any given course obviously differs and varies from college to college, university to university. But i can provide you a mere idea atleast. So the fees for MA Economics will usually on and average range from 30,000 to 80,000 per annum. And as per the university, you will have your own fees mostly in this range only.

Yes you have to give entrance examination for geting admission in JNU. The entrance examination will be conducted by the university it self, so you must have to prepare for it.

Hi,

Yes sure you can apply to JNU for MBA. But for that you have to give the CAT Exam. The CAT exam scores have 70% weightage and personal interview round will have  around 30% weightage. JNU will use the CAT score for shortlisting/ selecting candidates for MBA programme.
