Eligibility for PESSAT Counselling 2026

  • Apart from qualifying the PESSAT 2026, candidates are required to meet some extra criteria prescribed by the authorities. Candidates will have to upload their 10+2 scores or equivalent exam scores as soon as their corresponding result is declared.

  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks in 12th standard (or equivalent) qualifying examination has to be secured by the candidates.

  • If the required documents are not presented at the PESSAT 2026 counselling venue, then the candidates will not be allowed to participate in the procedure.

PESSAT Counselling 2026

Qualified students of the PESSAT 2026 will be eligible to appear for the counselling process. Candidates have to register for the PESSAT 2026 counselling by using their registration number and date of birth on the official website. During the PESSAT counselling 2026, candidates have to select their choice of course as per the order of preference.

Candidates are advised to choose as many choices as possible to maximize their chances of admission. Students must submit all the required original documents that have to be produced during the PESSAT 2026 verification process. Once the PESSAT 2026 allotment list is out, qualified students must appear for the PESSAT 2026 counselling process by following the steps given below:


  • Candidates shortlisted in the PESSAT 2026 seat allotment are required to carry the original documents for verification process to secure admission.

  • Students selected during the PESSAT counselling process 2026 are required to pay the admission fee to finalise their seat.

  • If the required original documents are not submitted during the verification process, then the PESSAT 2026 allotted seat will be rejected by the university.

PESSAT 2026 Counselling- Key Points

  • All of the candidates have to be physically present for the counselling of PESSAT 2026 at the specified venue and timings.

  • PESSAT counselling 2026 will be held only in Bangalore.

  • If due to unavoidable circumstances, a candidate is unable to attend the counselling session, then they can download the authorization letter and submit it.

For NMIT, admissions are done on the basis of academic eligibility followed by CET and COMEDK exams. For academic eligibility, The student should have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and obtained 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination. Further, they should have given the Further, the student should have given CET or COMEDK.

For Ramiaiah, A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 pattern of examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible. The eligibility for admission is 45% in case of General Category and 40% marks in the qualifying examination in case of SC/ST, Category-1 and OBC Category candidates. The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for the required aggregate percentage for the purpose of determination of eligibility (and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of engineering/technology courses).
