• Visit the official BHU UG CAP portal at bhucuet.samarth.edu.in

• Enter your login credentials and access your BHU UG CAP account.

• Applicants have to perform “subject mapping” by selecting the subjects they have passed in class 12 and the specific test papers that they have attempted in CUET 2026.

• Next, they will need to make a “BHU UG preference list” by ranking ‘1’ the course and college that is most preferred to the last rank as least preferred.

• Save and freeze your BHU UG choice filling to lock your preferences.

NOTE - Just having a valid CUET score is not enough. Interested applicants are required to exclusively register on the CAP portal of BHU UG admission 2026 as that process is the only way to secure valid admissions into the BHU. Unregistered applicants won’t secure admission even if they have merit credentials.

The Banaras University opens a correction window for applicants who wish to make changes in their preference list. BHU CAP UG 2026 Merit List

Banaras Hindu University will release the BHU CAP UG merit list 2026 in August on its official website. The BHU CAP UG 2026 merit list will contain the list of eligible candidates who have provisionally qualified for admission into the BHU UG courses. The merit list will contain details such as applicants’ roll number, name, date of birth, CUET details and other such details. Applicants must match their details with the BHU CAP UG merit list 2026.

The allotment rounds for BHU admissions 2026 will begin in August 2026. The allotment will happen in four rounds. • They must download and print the admission fee receipt for the BHU UG admission.

• Paying the BHU UG admission fee still awards provisional admission.

• To finalise admission, applicants will have to visit the allotted college and appear for physical verification of documents.

• Once this process is completed, admission into the BHU is finalised and the process for BHU CAP UG 2026 concludes.

Steps to Upgrade the Allotted seat in BHU CAP UG 2026

• The admission fee is to be paid for the current college seat allotted to them.

• Once the admission fee is paid, the upgrade option will show on the dashboard.

• Applicants who wish to upgrade have to click on the “Upgrade” option.

• The upgradation to higher preference is subjected to seat availability and merit of the applicant.

• If an applicant is allotted a higher preference in the next round, they will have to forfeit their previous seat and pay the admission fee for that college.

• This previously paid admission fee will be according to the current admission fee. ( If admission fee is higher, difference will be paid and If admission fee is lower, refund will be provided).

• Then applicants must report to the new allotted seat and finalise BHU UG 2026 admission.

BHU Spot / Mop-up Round Admission 2026

The spot/ mop-up rounds highly depend on cancellation/ forfeit of admission, vacant seats and only provided to candidates who were not offered seats during regular allotment rounds.
