DU Admission 2025: The University of Delhi will begin the DU 2025 registration process in May on the official website admission.uod.ac.in. Aspirants of the Delhi University are required to qualify in the Common University Entrance Test to be eligible for admissions in Delhi University. There is only one channel for entering Delhi University and its affiliated colleges – entrance based (which is called the Common University Entrance Test or CUET). Delhi University courses are offered through the CUET entrance test 2025 and the DU merit list will be prepared on the basis of CUET scores. The existing DU best of four marks at the University of Delhi has been replaced by scores of CUET 2025 for DU university admission 2025. The eligibility criteria for Delhi University define the minimum qualification a candidate is required to process in order to apply for DU admission. Though many of the DU colleges have varied eligibility for the admission seeking candidates, there are some basic requirements that are common for all. The Delhi University will activate the DU 2025 registration link in online mode. Students can register for the DU admission process 2025 till the last date of CSAS portal 2025 UG. Candidates can submit the DU 2025 counselling registration form through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal.

The Delhi University admission portal is called the DU CSAS portal. The Common Seat Allocation System, or CSAS, involves three registration phases. The DU CSAS 2025 portal is used to fill out admission forms for all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Candidates can find the DU CSAS 2025 portal at ugadmission.uod.ac.in. Applying to CSAS 2025, choosing the programmes, and seat allocation are the three main steps of the DU Admission portal, which is part of the CSAS system. Students must register and choose their favorite programmes befor the DU CSAS last date UG in order to be admitted to Delhi University's UG courses such as BA, BSc (Hons), BCom (Hons), and more.
Delhi University will begin the preference filling for DU CSAS 2025 in online mode. Candidates can fill their preferences for programme and college till the last date of the preference window. It is advisable to the candidates to fill their preferences before the DU choice filling last date. They could select their preferred colleges and programmes after the announcement of CUET UG 2025 result. Following the submission of the DU admission form 2025, DU CSAS 2025 choice filling process begins. Admission to postgraduate programmes at DU will be obtained in the faculties and departments of the arts, commerce, science, and other fields. At Delhi University, the most popular PG programmes are MA, M.Com, and M.Sc. The primary requirement for PG admission at DU is the possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. CUET PG scores are used to determine DU admission to PG programmes at Delhi University in 2025. Before applying to DU PG admissions candidates have to check the DU PG eligibility criteria. DU PG selection 2025 will be based on the CUET PG 2025 scores.
The institution provides a Ph.D course in a variety of specialisations in addition to different UG and PG courses. The NTA will conduct the common PhD entrance test for admission to DU, BHU, and JNU. Candidates must have earned a master's degree with a minimum of 55% in order to be admitted to the Ph.D. programme. The minimum eligibility standard for admission to Ph.D. programmes is relaxed by 5% for candidates who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer), and Persons with Physical Disability (PwD). For all applicants to the Ph.D. programmes, online registration is required.
Programme-specific merit scores are calculated by the university according to eligibility criteria, and candidates must confirm their scores before making preferences. The candidate must select as many programmes he/she wishes to and it is in the best interest of the candidate to choose maximum programmes and programmes + college combinations Delhi University calculates the DU merit list on the basis of three lists - List A, list B1 or B2.

Now, let's say they want to apply in B.A Political Science, according to DU eligibility criteria they must have anyone language from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 +Anyone subject from either List B1 or List B2, hence subjects for candidate A is Hindi, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and for candidate B the subjects is English, Physical Education, History, Sociology. Now candidates can add the CUET normalised score of each subject.
Eg- Candidates best of four is 700 out of 800. Now according to the DU merit list, candidates can apply according to their desired college by visiting the online portal.
The University of Delhi will release the DU 2025 first cut off in July. Students can check the DU cut off 2025 by visiting the official website - admission.uod.ac.in. After the announcement of CUET result, candidates are required to fill and submit the DU CSAS choice filling form before the last date of preference filling in DU 2025. Make a note that initially, the Delhi University colleges releases the DU cut off on their respective websites and later on the consolidated DU 2025 cutoffs will be released by the University of Delhi for BA, B.Com and BSc. streams according to the CUET scores. The university will release the DU 2025 merit list in online mode. Applicants can check the DU UG merit list 2025 by using their login credentials on the official website. Delhi University releases all the DU 2025 merit lists based on the CUET exam result. The DU merit list 2025 is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in CUET 2025 in a particular subject combination. Candidates whose names appear in the DU merit list are eligible for DU Admission . The DU merit list for the UR category seats comprises all candidates in order of merit.
University of Delhi will release the DU 2025 seat allotment in online mode. Once the seat is approved in the DU seat allotment, candidates have to pay the admission fee to confirm their seat at Delhi University. Candidates have to visit the official website of DU CSAS. Log in using the application number and password. Thereafter, accept the provisionally allotted seat. In the event of no activity on the allotted seat, DU will decline the provisional allotted seat and the candidate will not be allowed to participate in the subsequent rounds as well.

As part of its merit-based admission policy, the University of Delhi offers admissions to its ECA and Sports quotas. Courses that are offered through entrance examinations are not eligible for ECA and Sports quota seats. Delhi University policy requires each college to reserve 1 to 5% of its total seats for ECA and sports. In any case, the number of seats reserved for ECA and sports quota cannot exceed 5% of the total seats, depending on the college's sports facilities.
What is required for ECA and Sports quota seats admissions is trials and certificate verification. Candidates are required to upload their ECA/Sports certificates on the DU admission portal. Furthermore, they have to pay Rs. 100 as additional fee online.
Candidates can apply for a maximum of three ECA categories
15 percent concession given to the ECA category in the DU cutoff
For the ECA category, two levels of trials are done: preliminary and final
Candidates are shortlisted for the final trials based on the preliminary trials
Only candidates who qualify for the final round will have their certificates evaluated by the ECA Admission Committee.
Merit lists will be prepared based on final trials (75% weightage) and certificate evaluation (25% weightage).
Note: Applicants must score at least 50% in the final trials (38 out of 75) to be considered for the final merit list.
To qualify for admissions in Delhi University, students must qualify in the CUET exam conducted by the NTA.

Admission to both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes at Delhi University are conducted through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).
