DU Merit List 2026 Calculation

Programme-specific Delhi University merit list 2026 will be calculated by the university according to eligibility criteria, and candidates must confirm their scores before making preferences. DU Simulated Merit List 2026

The Delhi University released the DU CUET simulated merit list 2026 on July 12 at its website. These DU simulated ranks were made available on the official website of DU. Candidates are required to login to the CSAS portal to check their DU simulated rank list 2026. Through this DU simulated rank feature, candidates can check their tentative ranks and chances of getting a seat in their preferred college and programme.

DU Merit List 2026 - Tie Breaking Criteria

If there are two or more than two candidates have the same DU merit list CUET scores, then the following rules will be applied to break the tie:

1. The candidate with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the Best 3 subjects of Class 12 will be given preference.

2. The candidate with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the Best 4 subjects of Class 12 will be given preference.

3. The candidates with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the Best 5 subjects of Class 12 will be given preference.

4. Age of the candidate; preference will be given to the candidate having an earlier date of birth (as mentioned in the Class 10 certificate).

DU 2026 Reservation Criteria

The following reservation criteria will be applicable for admissions to Delhi University UG courses.

• 22.5% of the total numbers of seats are reserved for SC/ST (15% for SC and 7.5% for ST).

• 27% of seats are reserved for the OBC category candidates.

• 10% seats are reserved for the candidates who belong to the EWS category.

• In Minority Colleges 50% of the seats are reserved for Minority candidates.

• For admissions to ECA and Sports supernumerary seats a weightage of 25% will be given to CUET score and 75% to certificates/trials/performances.

What after the release of the DU Merit List 2026

After the release of the DU merit list UG, aspirants have to accept the allotted seat. Candidates have to visit the CSAS portal, login using their CUET credentials, and accept the DU seat. If the aspirant fails to accept the seat, the candidate's application will be cancelled. The DU colleges will check the documents uploaded by the aspirants and approve the seat.
