CUCET Eligibility CriteriaCUCET Eligibility Criteria 2018 - Central University of Rajasthan, the conducting board of CUCET has declared CUCET 2018 Eligibility Criteria on February 19, 2018. As per the notification, the Eligibility Criteria for CUCET 2018 will be different for each university and the corresponding course the candidate opts for. As per the notification, the CUCET Eligibility Criteria 2018 for similar courses would be different for different participating universities. The candidates who wish to apply for a particular course must make sure that they read through the CUCET 2018 Eligibility Criteria for the course of their choice and the university they wish to apply in before filling up the application form for the test. As the admission notification mentions, a candidate can choose up to three different courses and three different participating universities from the ten universities to choose from.

MA Economics*

Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent of any recognized board in India with Economics /Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects at the Hr. Secondary level with 60% marks in aggregate for General Category, 55% marks for OBC (Non-creamy layer) and 50% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

The students will undergo first three years of study at CUTN campus and the rest of the two years either at CUTN campus or at MSE, Chennai as per their choice. The allotment of specialisation at MSE is based on their CGPA during the first three years of study at CUTN.

PG Programme

M.Com.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from a recognized University with a minimum of 55 % marks. 50% marks OBC (Non-creamy Layer) and 45% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates at Graduate level

M.Sc. Chemistry

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or with Chemistry as one of the major subjects. Candidates should have secured a minimum of 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) in the qualifying degree examination for General Category, 50% marks or 5.5 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) for OBC (Non-creamy layer) and 45% aggregate marks or 5.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

M.Sc. Computer Science

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects for at least four semesters, bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications / Computer Sciences/Mathematics/ or Candidates should have secured a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) in the qualifying degree examination for General Category, 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) for OBC (Non-creamy layer) and 50% aggregate marks or 5.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) for SC/ST candidates.

MA Classical Tamil Studies

Candidates should have any Bachelor's degree with Tamil as a major subject or as one of the subjects at least 55% marks for General Category, 50% marks for OBC (Non-creamy Layer), 45% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates. [Candidates admitted may be provided scholarships and book grant by CICT].

MA Economics

Candidates should have any Bachelor’s Degree with Economics / Mathematics / Statistics at UG level. from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks for General Category, 50% marks for OBC (Non-creamy Layer), 45% marks for SC/ST/PWD Candidates.

MA English

Candidates should have any Bachelor's degree with English as major or one of the major subjects. at least 55% marks for General Category, 50% marks for OBC (Non-creamy Layer), 45% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

MA Hindi

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Hindi with at least 55% (Gen) [50% (OBC Non-creamy Layer)/45% (SC/ST/PWD)] of aggregate marks (or) any Bachelor’s Degree with at least 55% (Gen)[50% (OBC Noncreamy Layer)/45% (SC/ST/PWD)] of marks in Hindi as Optional/Elective/Compulsory Language. Note: A candidate who has Bachelor degree but had not studied Hindi as any of the subjects or does not have the required marks as mentioned above should have qualified Oriental title equivalent to B.A. in Hindi recognized by the Central or State Government with 50% of marks. (The candidate has to submit the equivalence certificate from the concerned institution at the time of admission).

Candidate should have passed in 2nd PUC / Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and Mathematics as core subject and obtained a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate (60% for SC and ST).

60% of seats are reserved for Karnataka and remaining 40% seats are reserved for students from other states Karnataka.

20% is reserved for Scheduled Caste and 10% for Scheduled Tribe students. As regards other reservations, the policy adopted by the Government of Karnataka will be followed.
