CUCET Eligibility Criteria 2019 - The conducting board of Central Universities Common Entrance Test will announce the eligibility criteria of CUCET 2019 for its UG and PG courses along with the official notification. CUCET 2019 eligibility criteria states the academic qualifications and age limit which a candidate should fulfil to be considered eligible for the course of their choice. The CUCET eligibility criteria 2019 for all the courses are available online; candidates can read below to check the criteria for each subject. It is mandatory for candidates to fulfil CUCET 2019 eligibility criteria for the subject(s) of their choice; non-fulfilment of the eligibility criteria will result into cancellation of candidates’ application to the university. Therefore, applicants are advised to go through the eligibility criteria of CUCET 2019 before they start filling the application form.

In this page, candidates will find the eligibility criteria given for each of the eleven participating universities in CUCET 2019. Each of the universities have their own eligibility criteria for each course. Therefore, candidates can go through the article university wise, locate the course of their choice, and check the respective CUCET eligibility criteria 2019. 

CUCET is conducted every year for candidates who seek admissions into the undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the eleven participating universities. It is a common test which allows candidates to apply for six universities out of the eleven at once. CUCET 2019 will be conducted in the last week of April 2019 in offline mode.

M.A.

Candidates should have done their bachelor’s degree from a recognised Indian university or foreign university (recognised as per the AIU list) with economics with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent grade. OR candidates should have done their graduation or post graduation in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 55% in Graduate/Post Graduate Degree from a recognized Indian or foreign university (to be recognised as per the AIU list).

Education

M.A.

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university (in case of foreign university, recognition to be as per the AIU list) with at least an aggregate of 55% or a grade equivalent thereto.

B.Ed

Candidates should have secured 50% marks in Graduation/Post Graduation in Social Science/ Humanities/Science/ Bachelors in technology or engineering with a specialization in mathematics and science with 55 % marks or any equivalent degree.

M.Ed

Requirements are 50% as aggregate marks in B.El.Ed./B.Ed./B.A.B.Ed.,B.Sc.B.Ed/D.El.Ed. along with a UG degree with 50%. Compartment students will not be eligible for M.Ed. Course.

Candidates should have done their graduation with at least 50% from any recognized university or any equivalent grade.

Political Science

M.A.

Graduates with a minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade from a recognised university are eligible.

Psychology

M.A

Graduates from any recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent grade are eligible.

Sociology

Chemistry

To be eligible, candidates require a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry from any recognized Indian or Foreign University (Foreign recognition to be on the basis of AIU list) with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent. Or candidates can also be graduates in any branch of Science/Engineering with Mathematics/Biology and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with a minimum aggregate of 55% or equivalent grade.

Library & Info. Science

Candidates should have done their graduation from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent.

Environmental Studies

To be eligible, candidates should have done their B.Sc.(Hons.)/B.Sc. with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent from any recognized Indian or foreign university (recognition to be determined as per the AIU list).

Geography

OR candidates can also possess a B.Com. Degree with at least 55% as an aggregate from a recognized Indian or foreign university (foreign recognition to be as per AIU list).

Or Candidates with a B.A. (Hons.) Economics with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent grade from a recognized Indian or foreign university (as per the AIU list).

Mathematics

Candidates require a B.A/B.Sc. Candidates require a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Physics from a recognized Indian or foreign university (foreign recognition to be as per AIU list) with at least an aggregate of 50% or an equivalent grade. Statistics

M.Sc.

To be eligible, candidates need a B.A./B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics/Statistics with a minimum aggregate of 50% or an equivalent grade and minimum 50% in Mathematics or Statistics from any recognized Indian or foreign university (foreign recognition to be according to AIU list). M.Sc. Applied Geology

Students who have completed their graduation in Science in the subject of Geology or Allied subjects (Environmental Science/Geography/BTech in Civil Engineering) from a recognised Indian or foreign university (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list). Such candidates should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks for general categories and 45% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER}, SC, ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant Students). M.Com

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Commerce/Business Administration/ Equivalent from a recognized Indian or foreign university (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list). They should have scored at least an aggregate of 50% marks for general categories and 45% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER}, SC, ST, PWD and Kashmiri candidates. Additionally, such candidates will also have to secure at least 40% (in case of general categories) and 35% (in case of SC/ST/PWD/OBC(NCL) anbd Kashiri categories) in CUCET 2019.

M.Sc. Mathematics

Candidates with a B.Sc. /B.Sc. (Hons) degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects from a UGC recognized University or College or foreign university (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list). with a minimum aggregate of 50% (for general categories) and 45% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER}, SC, ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant categories) are eligible to apply. These candidates should also have secured a minimum of 40% for general categories and 35% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER} SC/ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant categories in the Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2018. (candidates are to note that 50% of the seats will be filled on the basis of performance in IIT JAM 2019. The remaining 50% will be filled on the basis of performance in CUCET 2019.)

M.Sc. Physics

B.Sc. /B.Sc. (Hons) degree with Physics as one of the subject from a UGC recognized University or College or foreign university (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list). With at least 50% marks aggregate (45% for SC/ST and Kashmiri Migrant Students) and who have secured a minimum of 40% (35% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER} SC/ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant Students) marks in the Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2018. 50% of the seats will be filled on the basis of performance in JAM-2018 (Joint Admission Test for MSc), the national level test conducted by the IITs for admission to M.Sc.

M.Sc. Chemistry

Candidates require a B.Sc/B.Sc. (Hons) degree with Chemistry as one of the subjects from a UGC recognized University or College or foreign university (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list). Also to be eligible, they will need at least an aggregate of 50% marks for general category candidates and 45% for SC/ST and Kashmiri Migrant categories. They should have also secured a minimum of 40% for general category candidates and (35% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER} SC/ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant Students) marks in the Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2019.

MA in Linguistics

Candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian or foreign university (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list) with a minimum of 50% as an aggregate for general category candidates and 45% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER}, SC, ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant categories. MA History

Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian or foreign university (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list) with a minimum of 50% as an aggregate for general category and 45% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER}, SC, ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant categories. They should have also secured a minimum of 40% for general categories and 35% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER} SC/ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant categories marks in the Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2019.

MA Folkloristic and Tribal Studies

Candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian or foreign university (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list) with a minimum aggregate of 50% (for general categories) and 45% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER}, SC, ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant categories. Candidates need a B.A/B.Sc degree with Music/Fine Arts as one of the subject from a UGC recognized University or College or foreign university (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list) with a minimum aggregate of 50% for general category students and 45% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER}, SC, ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant candidates. B.Ed.

Candidates will need a Bachelor degree and / or in Master Degree from recognized University or any equivalent qualification with at least an aggregate of 50% and 45% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER}, SC, ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant Students). They should have also secured at least 40% marks for general category candidates and 35% marks for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER}, SC, ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant Students marks in the Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2019.

M.Ed.

Candidates need a B.Ed / 4 years integrated course like B.A., B.Ed./ B.Sc.B.Ed or any other equivalent university with a minimum aggregate of 50% for general category and 45% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER}, PWD, SC, ST and other relevant categories as per the rules of GOI. They should have also secured secured at least 40% marks for general categories and 35% marks for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER} SC/ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant Students) marks in the Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2019.

M.A. English

To be eligible, candidates will need a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University. Additionally, candidates will need a minimum of 50% marks (for general category) and 45% (for SC/ST category) or its equivalent on Grading Scale of respective Universities. English literature should have been studied as one of the subjects in all the semesters. OR Candidates with an English Hons. Degree with 50% for the general category and 45% for the SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.

M.A. Urdu

Candidates need a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks or its equivalent on Grading Scale of respective Universities. Candidates should have also studied Urdu as one of the subjects each semester or year. The minimum aggregate requirements are 50% for the general category and 45% for the SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.

Master of Tourism & Travel Management (MTTM)

Candidates will need a bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (for general category) and 45% (for SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories) or its equivalent on grading scale of respective universities.
