The National Testing Agency will conduct the CUET for a maximum of 5 subjects. The NTA will release the names of the toppers for the 5-subject category. Many of the institutions consider the best of the five marks to take admission. Each paper of the CUET 2026 consists of 250 marks and 50 questions. So, the total of five subjects is 1250.

The CUET exam total marks for 5 subjects will be calculated out of 1250. Last year, a candidate topped the list with 1225.93 marks out of 1250. Students have to score higher marks in order to get admission in the top desirable college.
According to the marking scheme, students will be awarded +5 for each subject. -1 will be awarded for each correct answer. Being one question is of 5 marks. So, the maximum marks in each CUET paper are 50*5 =250.
Each CUET paper = 250 marks
So, CUET marks for 5 subjects = 250*5 =1250.
There is also a negative marking in each CUET paper. 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
The CUET marks can be calculated in three ways. The CUET result 2026 can be prepared using the percentile and the NTA score. Let us know these things in detail -
CUET Raw Score: The raw score of the CUET examination can be calculated easily using the answer key. One must know the marking scheme for the examination. The CUET result does not show the raw score of the candidates.
CUET NTA Score: The NTA provides an NTA score instead of a raw score. As the CUET examination is conducted in different shifts, the NTA score is provided to compensate for the difficulty level of the shifts. The CUET NTA score is calculated using a different formula, which is mentioned in the CUET UG information brochure.
CUET Percentile: It is the normalised marks, which are calculated using a special formula. While calculating the percentile, one needs the number of candidates who appeared in the CUET examination.
The table below contains the top 10 applicants along with their secured marks in five subjects altogether.

Hello,
Yes, you can get a reservation to study B Tech. through cuet exam as per your category. It is partially dependent on the university you will get admission.
Thank You.
The top government colleges offering B.Tech admission through the CUET exam in Delhi primarily include institutions under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and specific colleges within the University of Delhi (DU).
Here are the key government colleges that accept CUET scores for B.Tech:
Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC), University of Delhi: Offers B.Tech. in Information Technology & Mathematical Innovation, with admission based strictly on CUET scores, and it is known for its low fee structure.
Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi (DU): DU has also started admitting students to its B.Tech programs (like Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.) via the CUET (and usually JEE Main).
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU): While GGSIPU primarily uses JEE Main scores, some of its programs in the main campus and the GGSIPU East Delhi Campus accept CUET scores for admission, particularly for certain specializations.
It is important to check the specific course eligibility for each university, as highly ranked institutions in Delhi like Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) and Delhi Technological University (DTU) rely more heavily on high JEE Main ranks for admission through JAC Delhi counselling, rather than CUET alone.
