Number of Questions: In the examination, there will be 150 objective type questions.
Medium:The medium of all tests shall be English, except where a question paper will be set in a language other than English.
Total Marks:The question paper will be of 150 marks.
Subjects:The questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects.
Duration:The exam duration will be 3 hours.
Marking Scheme:For the correct answer, one mark will be given to the candidates.
Negative Marking:For incorrect answers, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
Exam Date: The exam will be started from April 2026 for different M.Tech specialisations.
Medium: The medium of all Tests will be English, except where a question paper will be set in a language other than English.
Exam Duration: The exam duration will be 2 hours.
Type of Questions: There will be one objective type paper.
Marking Scheme: For the correct answer, one mark will be given to the candidates.
Negative Marking: For the incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
There will be two papers of equal weightage:
Paper 1: The exam pattern will be the same as the B.Tech course. It will be compulsory to appear in Paper 1.
Paper 2: It will be an Architecture Aptitude Test. It will contain some descriptive questions and a Test of Drawing.
Exam Date: The exam will be held in July 2026.
Duration: The duration of both examinations will be three hours.
Marking Scheme: One mark will be given for the correct answer.
Negative Marking: For incorrect answers, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Entrance Exam is not so hard but there are certain things that should be kept in mind while preparing for the exam
Firstly, if you are in 10th class study well and brush up all your concepts of 9th standard in winter vacation.
Then, fill up the form(available by the end of January) and submit it before mid-Feb.
If you like you can come and attend the crash course after your boards for taking the essence of the competition.(recommended, if you have not given any competitive exam before).
You should not feel demotivated at all. You just need to study hard and you will surely clear your exam. Wishing all the best your preparations.

The selected candidates list in AMU are for those who are selected for the particular course and have a confirmed seat and special category list contains the names of both who's names are there in selected candidates list as well as the chance memo list. Your chance will come only when you make the cut but for now you just have to wait. However it does not mean that you are not selected.
