In order to resolve any such situation where two or more candidates score the same marks in the entrance exam the university uses BHU UET result 2020 tie breaking criteria. Candidates can check below the criteria adopted by the university to break the tie -
Candidates whose scores in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10 +2 or equivalent exam) are higher will be allotted a higher rank. In case of B.Sc. programme, the aggregate of marks obtained in only science subjects will be considered.
In case the qualifying percentage of candidates are also same, then their marks in the concerned subject in the qualifying exam will be considered. Candidates with higher marks will be given preference.
If the tie still persists, candidates older in age will be given more preference in merit list of BHU UET 2020.
Candidates will be invited for the counselling session in the form of call letters sent to their registered accounts with BHU on the basis of theirs rank and category.

Only those candidates will be invited for the counselling of BHU UET 2020 whose names will appear on the merit list.
The university will announce merit list of BHU UET 2020 separately for different undergraduate courses like B.A., B.Sc., B.Com.
BHU UET merit list 2020 will rank candidates on the basis of their merit/ scores obtained in the entrance test and category. The candidates will be featured alongside their roll numbers.
Candidates must make sure that they report to the counselling venue on the specified date and time. On failing to do so, admissions can be cancelled.
Banaras Hindu University will conduct the counselling of BHU UET 2020 in online mode. Candidates shortlisted in the merit list of BHU UET 2020 need to appear in the counselling. Candidates who will be shortlisted will receive a call letter of BHU UET 2020. They need to download BHU UET counselling call letter from the official website of university’s entrance test portal. The counselling dates for different UG programmes will vary depending upon the choice of courses. An electronic call letters will be sent to the registered candidates.
