The National Testing Agency has released the CUET PG statistics syllabus 2026 at exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg. The CUET PG 2026 statistics syllabus is divided into nine chapters which are Calculus, Algebra, Differential Equations, Probability & Descriptive Statistics, Random Variables, Standard Distributions, Joint Distributions, Statistical Inference. Probability mass functions (pmf) and density functions (pdf); Cumulative distribution functions; Mathematical expectation, moments, MGFs, and Chebyshev’s inequality.

Standard Distributions

Binomial, Poisson, Geometric, Uniform, Exponential, Gamma, Beta, and Normal distributions; Chi-square, t, and F-distributions.

Joint Distributions

Marginal and conditional distributions; Correlation and simple linear regression; Independence of random variables; Weak Law of Large Numbers and Central Limit Theorem.

Statistical Inference

Estimation (Unbiasedness, consistency, efficiency, MLE); Sufficiency, Factorization theorem, Rao-Blackwell theorem; Testing of Hypotheses (Neyman-Pearson Lemma, Likelihood ratio tests).

Sampling & Design of Experiments

Simple random sampling, stratified sampling and Cluster sampling, One-way, two-way analysis of variance. CRD, RBD, LSD and 2² and 2³ factorial experiments.
