DU B.A Application Form 2018 -
The University of Delhi will release the application form of DU B.A. 2018 in the third week of May. The DU B.A 2018 Application Form will be available on the controller’s website. Candidates who wish to apply for the B.A programme in the colleges affiliated to the university can download the DU B.A. Application Form 2018 and choose the colleges they want to apply for in a single application form. Except for St. Stephen’s College and Jesus and Mary College, Delhi, all the other colleges affiliated to the University of Delhi will have a common admission procedure. Candidates who wish to apply for DU Admission 2018-19, under the supernumerary categories, sports categories and the Extra-curricular activities category can download the DU B.A 2018 Application Form from the UG admission portal. Candidates can apply to the colleges of their choice in a single DU B.A Application Form 2018.

 

DU B.A. 2018 Application Form - Important Dates

The Application Form for DU B.A. 2018 will be available from the third week of May until June 2018. Candidates can check the important dates related to the DU B.A. Application Form 2018 given below.

How to fill DU B.A. Application Form 2018

Given below are the steps to be followed by the candidate while applying for the B.A Programme.

  • Visit the official UG Admission portal of the university.

  • Go to the “New Applicant Sign Up” to register by clicking on the “New Registration” link.

  • On the “Create New Account” page the fields to be filled up are mentioned. Candidates must note that the fields marked in a red asterisk (*) are mandatory.

  • Candidates must note- having a valid e-mail ID and mobile number is a must as all the further communications after the application process will be made via the e-mail registered by the candidate.

  • Enter the Name as mentioned in the class XII hall ticket.

  • Enter the e-mail ID and ‘Confirm’ it by entering it again in the slot mentioned.

  • Candidates must note that choosing a ‘Security Question’ is a must in case the candidate forgets the e-mail ID or password later on.

  • Create a password (minimum six characters). Enter the same and ‘Confirm password’

  • After all the details are entered recheck the same and enter the ‘Captcha’ in the text box.

  • Click on the ‘Register’ button below.

  • A dialogue box will appear with all the details including the e-mail ID and mobile number entered by the candidate. Make sure to click on the “Click here to save this information for further reference’. This is a ‘RegisterationDetail.pdf’ which will be saved on the applicant’s device for further reference.

  • A confirmation regarding the successful registration will be sent to the mobile number registered by the candidate.

  • To proceed further with the application process click on the ‘Continue to homepage’ on the left side of the screen.

  • Enter the registered e-mail ID for the “Username” and the “password” as entered during the registration process.

  • After logging in the candidates can start the online registration process by clicking “Apply Now”

  • Make sure to fill up all the nine sections of the application form.

  • Enter all the personal details, academic details, category details (if applicable) and move on to the final step which is the payment of registration fee.

  • Candidates must note that they can click on “Save & Continue later” if they have to stop the application process and continue later.

  • After all the sections are filled the candidate will be directed to the payment gateway.

  • Pay the registration fee as per mentioned and click on the “Submit” button.

DU B.A 2018 Application Form - Mandatory fields

These are the fields on the application form which has to be filled without any exemption

  • Passport Size photograph of the applicant (2 inch* 2 inch/5 mm * 5 mm)

  • Scanned signature of the applicant

  • Self-attested Class XII Mark-Sheet (if the result is announced)

  • Self-attested copy of the category certificate (if the candidate belongs to the reservation category)

  • Self-attested copies of Sports/ECA certificates.

  • Candidates must not that they will not be able to make the payment unless the above documents are uploaded.

  • After uploading the above copies, candidates can move on to the payment gateway which is the final section of the application form filling procedure.

Helpdesk for PwD candidates

To assist PwD applicants in entering the online registration form, two Helpdesk centres are established in the University of Delhi, one in North Campus and another in South Campus.

DU B.A. Application Form 2018 - Important Points

  • The applicants who seek admissions to various Undergraduate Courses in different colleges of the University of Delhi, based on merit (for which there is no entrance exam), are required to register online for all categories, including unreserved (UR) / SC / ST / OBC.

  • The applicants who wish to apply under supernumerary categories, namely Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Kashmiri Migrant (KM), Armed Forces (CW), Sikkimese Students and Ward Quota and the Sports/Extra-curricular activities (ECA) can also apply through the same UG admission portal.

  • Applicants seeking admission to minority colleges also need to register online through the UG admission portal.

  • Candidates seeking admission under Foreign Students’ category have to apply separately on Foreign Students’ Registry website.

  • Students seeking admission in undergraduate programmes where admissions are based on entrance test need to apply on a separate portal for which the registration will start soon and date will be announced by the University of Delhi.

Q Do I need to fill separate Form for applying to different colleges?

Ans. No, by filling the single online registration form you are eligible for admission to different colleges of the University of Delhi, provided you meet the specific cut-off in a particular college.

Q How to pay the registration fee on DU UG Portal?

Ans. The payment is accepted online only through credit card/debit card/Net Banking.

Q How many certificates must I furnish for admission through Sports Quota?

Ans. You must submit one self-attested certificate (Best/ Scoring/Highest Certificate) for each

game/sport that you think is the best scoring.

Q I am a science student. Can I apply for Bachelor with Honours in Arts/Humanities subjects?

Ans. You can apply for Bachelor with Honours in Arts/Humanities subjects provided you fulfill specific eligibility condition and meet the requisite cut-off for the programme/course you wish to seek admission.

Q Is an applicant/candidate required to be present in-person on the day of admission?

Ans. It is mandatory for the applicant to be present on the day of admission to the college along with the desired documents/certificates.
