DU BA Application Form 2020 - The University of Delhi will release DU 2020 BA application form in the last week of May, in online mode. Candidates, who want to apply for admissions into B.A programmes at the DU must ensure to submit the DU B.A application form 2020 before the last date of submission. While filling the DU BA 2020 application form candidates have to select their course preference, as per the order of priority, from the drop down box available there. As there is no separate application form for DU BA programmes, candidates have to fill only a single application form for as many BA programmes as they want. Candidates must also enter their categories correctly as the admission process for candidates applying under the Sports and ECA category was different as compared to the others.

Documents to keep while filling DU BA 2020 Application Form

The University of Delhi releases a list of certain documents that the candidates need to upload whilst filling the DU BA application form 2020 and during the registration process. If the candidates fail to upload any of these documents then their DU BA 2020 application form may be deemed as incomplete and may lead to the candidates losing their candidature from DU admission 2020 process, even at the latter stages.

Some of the documents are given below:

1. Passport size photograph of the applicant (10-50 kb in size for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format).

2. Scanned signature of the applicant (10-50 kb in size for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format).

3. Self -Attested Class X certificate/mark sheet containing Date of Birth (100-500 kb in size for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format).

4. Self -Attested Class XII Mark Sheet, if results are announced. (In case the Marksheet has not been issued by the Board, a self-attested copy of the Marksheet downloaded from the respective Board’s website should be uploaded). (100-500 kb in size for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format).

5. SC/ST/PWD/CW/KM Certificate (in the name of the Applicant) issued by the competent authority (100-500 kb in size for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format).

6. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of the Applicant) issued on or after March 31, 2020. The OBC caste must be included in Central list issued by the Government of India. (100-500 kb for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format).

7. EWS Certificate issued by SDM certifying the applicant can claim reservation under this category, dated March 31, 2020, or later. 100-500 kb in size for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format)

8. Self-attested copies of Sports and/or ECA certificates. (100-500 kb in size per document for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format), if applying under these categories.

Steps to Fill DU BA Application Form 2020

The application process for DU 2020 begins with online registration. Candidates could check here the steps to register on the DU UG Online Admission Portal. To register, candidates need to have a valid e-mail ID and Mobile Number before starting the registration process. In case the applicants do not have an e-mail ID, they must create one as all the communication will be made through the e-mail ID given during the registration process.

Steps to register for DU BA Application Form 2020

  • Click on the ‘New Applicant Signup’ tab on the Delhi University Admission Portal

  • Click on ‘New Registration’ link to create a new user account

  • Enter all the details in the fields marked with a (*) on the ‘Create New Account’ page

  • Enter your email ID and re-enter it again for confirmation

  • Select a security question from the drop-down box given and enter a Security Answer for the same.

  • Create a password with a minimum of eight characters

  • Re-enter the same for confirmation

  • Enter the ‘Captcha’ given after all the details are filled

  • Click on the ‘Register’ tab towards the end of the page after entering all the details in the Delhi University BA application form 2020.

  • A page carrying the login details of the candidates will be displayed. Click on the Click here to save this information for future reference to save the details in the form of a pdf titled ‘Registration Detail.pdf’

  • Candidates will receive a confirmation of the registration process on the email ID and registered mobile number given during the registration process.

  • Click on the ‘Continue to homepage’ tab to continue with the DU BA application form 2020.

Steps to Fill Online DU 2020 BA Application Form

  • After the registration process is complete click on the ‘Continue to homepage’ tab

  • Click on the ‘Registered candidates Sign in’

  • Enter the Username and Password created during the registration on the login page.

  • Enter the ‘Captcha’ and click on ‘Login’

The application form of DU BA 2020 is divided into different sections. Given here are the sectional details of the DU BA 2020 application form.

  1. Personal Details

In this section of the Delhi university admission form the fields of Name, Email ID will be filled automatically.

Candidates need to enter the details in the following fields of DU BA application form 2020.

  • Date of Birth

  • Gender

  • Other Category/ Quota (Kashmiri Migrant (KM), Children/Widow of Armed Forces Personnel (CW), Person with disability (PWD) and the Ward Quota)

  • Aadhar Card Number

  • Nationality

  • Correspondence Address

Click on the ‘Submit’ button after entering all the details in Delhi University BA application form 2020. A preview of the section will be shown.

In case candidates need to make any changes they can click on the ‘edit’ button towards the end. In case the candidates want to continue with the application process click on the Next button towards the end.

2. Bank Details

Candidates must enter their bank account details such as Account Number and IFSC code.

In case of a refund the money will be transferred to the account details given

3. Academic Details

In this section, candidates must enter

  • Class 12 examination board

  • Roll number as in the Class 12 examination Admit Card

  • Year of Passing

  • Status of Results

Click on the submit button after entering all the details in DU BA application form 2020. A preview of these sections will be displayed. Candidates can check through all the details entered. In case of correction click on the edit button and make the necessary changes. If there are no corrections to be made candidates can move on to the next step by clicking on the ‘Next’ button.

4. Merit-Based Course Selection

Here candidates could select the programmes they wish to apply for. In case candidates wanted to check the eligibility of the programme they can click on ‘i’. The different programmes under B.A were mentioned in the dropdown box from which candidates could select as many programmes as needed.

If the candidate applying is a female they will be considered under the NCWEB category.

After selecting the number of programmes click on Submit to see the preview and click on Next in case there are no corrections to be made.

5. Sports and ECA

  • If a candidate was applying under the sports and ECA category they need to select ‘Yes’ under this section.

  • Sports candidates will choose the game/sport in which they have excelled and provide all the details and certificates asked for.

  • ECA candidates also needed to choose the event in which they have excelled.

  • Click on the submit button and click on ‘Next’ to move on to the next session

6. Uploads

Here candidates were required to upload the scanned images of the following documents

  • Self Attested Class X certificate/ Mark Sheet containing Date of Birth.

  • Self-attested Class XII Marks Sheet (In case the Marks Sheet is not issued by the Board, the self-attested copy of the Marks Sheet downloaded from the respective Board’s website should be uploaded).

  • Self-attested copy of the valid OBC/SC/ST/PWD/KM/CW certificates if applicable

  • Self-attested copies of Sports/ECA certificates, if applicable.

  • Passport size photograph

  • Scanned image of the signature

It is mandatory that the candidates upload all the documents as the application fee cannot be paid without uploading the documents. After the documents are uploaded candidates will be able to see a complete preview of the DU 2020 BA application form. Candidates can check all the details they have entered and move on to the final step of application fee payment.

7. Application Fee Payment

Candidates need to pay the application fee online as per the category. Candidates can select the payment mode from the options given.

DU Admission 2020: How to calculate 'Best of Four' marks

In order to calculate the ‘Best of Four’ aggregate marks for DU 2020 admission, the candidates were made sure to have four subjects as follows:

  • 1 language subject (can be core/elective/functional)

  • 1 subject in which the admission is being sought after

  • 2 academic/elective subjects

The three subjects that were chosen from List A (given above) should include the one in which admission is required. If there is/are no such subject/s then there will a deduction of 2.5% from the ‘best of four’ aggregate marks. For eg: If a candidate wants to get admission in BA (Hons) in History, then one subject should be History or else 2.5% will be deducted from their total ‘Best of four’ aggregate marks.

The candidates can also get to know which college they can get in by taking help of the du college predictor arts just by putting their 'Best of Four' aggregate marks.   • The University of Delhi doesn’t release separate DU application forms for the different undergraduate programmes offered by the University.

Question: How many applications do I need to fill for DU BA programmes?

Answer:

It doesn’t matter how many programmes of BA you want seek admission in, you just need to fill only one single application form.

Question: What if I miss the last date for application form of DU 2020?

Answer:

In case you are not able to fill the application form by the last date, then you don’t have any other option to apply for admission. The only chance you will get is when the authorities decide to extend the application deadline, which is rare.

Question: Will I get a chance to make corrections, if any, in the DU application form?

Answer:

Yes, the applicant can change/update information till the last date of registration with the correction fees of Rs 100. However they can update the marks obtained till the last date of UG admission.

Question: How can one apply for ECA or Sports quota? Is there a separate fee for applying to these quotas?

Answer:

You can apply for ECA and Sports quota by selecting the appropriate options while filling the application form. But you also need to pay an additional fee of Rs. 100 each for applying under ECA or Sports quota.

Question: I am not able to preview my application form and neither able to pay fee. What should I do?

Answer:

There may be two reasons for that – either you have not completed the mandatory fields (marked with red asterisk) on every page or you have not uploaded the required documents under the section ‘Uploads’.

Yes you can apply in private institutions for distance learning programs as they not require your graduation percentage for the admissions.

Hi Vikas,
If you're going to apply for improvey in only one subject then it is quite obvious fact that the marksfor rest three will remain same as they were before. So yes, you can use that improvement marksheet for that subject.
If the result for improvement is delayed, then you can submit the marksheet later also as DU has always specified a particular time limit for submission of delayed result related documents.

Some of the important criteria for admission into bsc  are Firstly, you need to pass the 12th standard from a recognized institution and in the field of science and the candidate should get a minimum qualifying mark if the institution pretend to conduct any exam else you could directly get into the institution on the basis of your performance in 12th standard.The age limit for a student to get into admission should be between 18-23 years .The bsc is of 3 years degree and the fees structure may vary from college to college

So for getting admission in DU your overall percentage will be calculated which included 4 subjects : English and ur 3 main subjects of ur stream but yes ur optional subjects will not be calculated...Like if ur marks in the 4 subjects of total is 350 then ur percentage will be calculated like this 350*100/400....
