In India, after completing higher education in science stream for graduation, many students go for engineering or medical science. But only few students know about the course of bachelor’s in science and its further specializations. BSc comes with many specializations such as BSc. Chemistry, BSc. Physics, BSc Agriculture, and one of the most famous one is BSc. Computer science. BSc (Hons.) Computer Science or Bachelor of Science in Computer science is a course which can be opted after 10+2 examinations. The main motto of this course is to prepare candidates into professionals and researchers who can work for the computer and software engineering.

Computer science in easy words is studying computer systems and to solve and analyze the computer software and computer hardware problems faced by humans. BSc (Hons.) Computer Science is a very famous course in the field of IT. Computer science graduates have huge demand all over the world. Candidates learn subjects like JAVA, C++, advanced data systems etc.  Subjects such as Introduction to Digital electronics, Front office management, Numerical analysis, Python programming etc., are taught. It is very important to have good knowledge of Math in this course. Average Fees for the course BSc. Computer science in different universities and colleges is around 10,000 to 1 Lakh Per annum. In this fee structure, many things are included such as the facilities and amenities provided by the college. Facilities such as Labs, Library, campus life, canteen, Hostel, guest lectures, webinars, fests etc. other than that, some colleges and universities also take donations from students. Students who are not able to afford the fees can look for the scholarship schemes, Bank loans etc.

Graduates can get jobs at big industries, IT Sectors, corporates, Banks etc. Job positions would be system analyst, IT Manager, software programmer, Database manager, lecturer, Project manager, Network programmer, computer graphics, UI/UX developer etc. Average salary for a fresher would be from 2.5 Lakhs to 4 Lakhs LPA. It also depends upon the placements given by the college. If a college provides placements from top companies, then students have an easy achievement in finding a perfect job for them. This is the reason why every college should have their own placement cell to provide great placement facilities to the students.

Many people get confused between BSc (Hons.) Computer Science and B.Tech Computer Engineering. It should be kept in Mind that BSc (Hons.) Computer Science is a theoretical course and is only for 3 years whereas B.Tech computer engineering is an engineering course which is more towards the practical knowledge of IT tools and knowledge. Both the subjects are quite different in terms of subject, syllabus etc. Generally, BSc (Hons.)
