To tackle the situation where two candidates gets the same percentile, the following criteria will be used in the order when the CCMN 2020 seat allotment list will be prepared.
Candidate older in age with a tie will be given preference.
A random number is generated and the same is used to break the tie in the highly unlikely event of their date of birth being the same which is the same score, same date of birth with same Common Percentile, then
Once the first CCMN seat allotment 2020 is done, a candidate must follow the two steps mentioned below
Step 1 - Candidates will be given two options. They can choose from either “Freeze” or “Float” option to continue in the counselling.
“Freeze” – If a candidate is allotted with a particular choice and wishes to retain the same, the “Freeze” option is given and the candidate’s choice is locked as final, Following this, the candidate will be generated with a PAL after Final Round of allotment. Candidates must note that they cannot change this “Freeze” option, once selected.
“Float” – Candidates who want to upgrade his/ her choice to the highest possible choice can opt for “ Float” option. A candidate will get upgraded to ‘anyone of the eligible higher choice’ or may be retained with the same choice given earlier at the end of second and Final Round, depending on the vacancy of seats and merit. Float option is provided to the candidates to keep them in the loop for the further round(s) of allotment/upgrade (if any). The candidate will be generated with PAL after Final Round of allotment.
Step 2 - To confirm their allotment and continue with the admission process candidates are required to pay the Counselling Participation Fee (CPF). A candidate who does not select any one of these “steps” will be removed from the counselling and cannot participate in the further rounds. Candidates will also be given a choice to voluntarily exit the counselling procedures without performing any of the above steps, such candidates will be removed from the counselling procedure for all future rounds.
If a candidate has followed all the required steps and made the necessary choices and confirmed participating in the further rounds of counselling, but at the later stages of the counselling procedure decides to exit should wait until surrender dates. Candidates must surrender the allotment during the specific period to exit from the remaining procedures.
