The University of Delhi has released DU BCom 2018 Application Form on May 15, 2018. The DU BCom Application Form link is available online in this page. This year, the application form of DU BCom 2018 for both the merit-based as well as entrance based admissions is same and candidates need not to visit any other DU application portal for the same. DU BCom 2018 Application Form for the candidates who wish to apply under the Sports and ECA category also need to apply through the same DU BCom Application Form available in this page. The University of Delhi admission bulletin mentions that except for St. Stephen’s College and Jesus & Mary College, all the other colleges offering UG programmes will have a common admission procedure. Candidates can apply to the colleges of their choice in a single DU BCom Application Form 2018. While filling up the Application Form of DU BCom 2018, candidates must be careful to mentions the different categories and attach the necessary documents proving the same without fail.

How to Apply for DU BCom Application Form 2018

 

Candidates seeking admission through the merit-based system can check the steps for the registration procedure.

  • Visit the Website and click on the application link given.

  • First time users should go to the “New Registration” link.

  • Click on “Create New Account”

  • Candidates who do not have a valid e-mail ID must make it a point to create an e-mail ID before moving on to the registration process.

  • Enter the name as mentioned in the standard XII hall ticket.

  • Enter the e-mail ID and confirm the same by entering it again.

  • Candidates must note that it is necessary to enter the “Security Question” as it will be helpful in case you forget your e-mail ID or Password.

  • After entering the e-mail ID create a password (Minimum six characters)

  • Re-enter the password to confirm the same.

  • Provide a valid mobile number in the field given in the notification about the successful registration will be available on the registered mobile number.

  • Enter the “Captcha” given.

  • Check all the details before clicking on “Register”

  • After you register a dialogue box will appear mentioning all the details just entered which include the e-mail ID and password. Candidates can save the same in the form of a pdf by clicking on the “Click here to save this information for future reference” option mentioned towards the end.

  • After the registration is completed, the notification regarding the same will appear on the mobile number registered by the candidate.

  • Proceed with the application process by clicking on “Continue to homepage” option.

  • Candidates can now Sign in by clicking on the “Registered Candidates Sign In” option.

  • Here, enter the e-mail ID in the place of ‘User name’ and fill up the password created earlier.

  • After successfully signing in you can now click on the “Apply Now” option.

  • The entire registration form is divided into nine tabs (sections/pages) and the applicant needs to

enter details in each of the sections. The change of colour of the tab indicates the status of the information entered by the applicant, which is as follows.

Orange → editable, green →completed and red → incomplete

  • After filling in all the sections carefully you will be directed to the payment gateway for the payment of the registration fee. Candidates can make the payment according to the registration fee mentioned on the site.

  • Candidates must see to it that they upload a recent passport size photograph, signature image and other necessary documents on the application form without fail.

  • Click on the “Submit” option mentioned towards the end of the page.

  • Also, if the candidate wants to stop the application process in the middle and continue later on they can click on the “Save & Continue Later” option available at every page.

DU BCom 2018 Application Form - Mandatory Documents to be uploaded

These are the fields on the application form which has to be filled without any exemption

  • Passport Size photograph of the applicant (2 inches* 2 inch/5 mm * 5 mm)

  • Scanned signature of the applicant

  • Self-attested Class XII Mark-Sheet (if the result is announced)

  • Self-attested copy of the category certificate (if the candidate belongs to the reservation category)

  • Self-attested copies of Sports/ECA certificates.

  • Candidates must not that they will not be able to make the payment unless the above documents are uploaded.

  • After uploading the above copies, candidates can move on to the payment gateway which is the final section of the application form filling procedure.

To assist PwD applicants in entering the online registration form, two Helpdesk centres are established in the University of Delhi, one in North Campus and another in South Campus.

DU BCom Application Form 2018 - Important information

  • Candidates must check the controller’s website to download the application forms.

  • Before filling up the application forms, candidates must check to see if they fit the eligibility criteria mentioned for each course offered by the university.

  • The DU 2018 application forms for the entrance based admissions, this year, are available through the same DU application form link.

  • Those who have to apply under the different categories can apply for the same in a single form. Candidates must make sure that they pay the registration fee as mentioned for different categories.

  • Candidates who wish to apply for to the minority colleges have to fill up a separate application form which will be available on the college website.

  • An applicant can take admission only in one programme in one college at any given time.

Q Can I take admission in two different programmes or same programme in different colleges after the declaration of a cutoff?

Ans. No, you cannot take admission simultaneously in two different programmes or same programmes in different colleges. In case you take admission at two places, your admission will be cancelled from both the colleges/programmes.

Q I have completed my class 12th from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling). Can I get admission in regular college?

Ans. Yes, you can get admission in a regular college in a particular programme/course provided you have applied in that programme/course and meet the cut-off criteria.

Q I belong to ST category and live in a remote place. How can I apply for undergraduate programmes in your University?

Ans. You can apply online by filling the registration form from your place itself.

Q Will registration fee be refunded or adjusted if I change my category?

Ans. The registration fee is mandatory for all categories and will not be refunded or adjusted in any

circumstances.

Q Why am I not able to preview my application and also not able to pay the fee?

Ans. Please ensure that you have:

i) Completed the mandatory fields (marked with red asterisk) on every page.

ii)You have uploaded the required documents under the ‘Mandatory Uploads’.
