DU First Merit List 2026: University of Delhi will release the DU 2026 UG merit list on August 6 for performance based prgrammes. Students can choose their allotted seats from August 6 to 11. Colleges will verify and approve online applications from August 6 to 12. A total of 15,942,385 unique college and programme preferences have been considered so far. A total of 93,033 students have been allocated seats (Male: 42019 and Female: 51014). Before making preferences, candidates must verify their programme-specific DU merit list UG CUET scores, which are generated by the university based on eligibility criteria. The candidate must choose as many programmes as they choose, and it is in the candidate's best interest to select as many programmes and programme + college combinations as possible. List A, List B1, or List B2 will be used as the basis for Delhi University calculation of the DU merit list.

According to the image above, these applicants have selected these subjects for their CUET exam 2026. Let's say that they wish to apply for a B.A. in political science. To meet DU eligibility criteria, they must possess any language from List A, any two subjects from List B1, and any subject from either List B1 or List B2.
Accordingly, candidate A's subjects would be Hindi, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology, while Candidate B's subjects would be English, Physical Education, History, and Sociology. Candidates' CUET normalised scores for each subject can now be added.
