Mumbai University Eligibility Criteria 2019 - The University of Mumbai will release the Mumbai University 2019 eligibility criteria for the admissions to the B.A, B.Com and B.Sc programmes offered at the colleges affiliated to the university. The eligibility criteria of Mumbai University 2019 is the minimum requirement to be fulfilled by candidates to apply for the undergraduate programmes. Candidates applying for the degree programmes offered must check the Mumbai university eligibility criteria 2019 before filling the admission form. Mumbai University will conduct the admissions through the merit list which will be released from the second week of June 2019 by the affiliated colleges. The common eligibility criteria of Mumbai University 2019 prescribed for the different programmes offered is that the candidates must have completed their class 12 qualifying examination or equivalent from a recognized board or university. Mumbai University Eligibility Criteria 2019 - Qualification

Programme

Eligibility

B.A Programmes

Candidates must have completed Higher Secondary School Certificate (Class 12) examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary

  • Education with the following subjects

  • English

  • Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign

Languages or any classical Language or Information Technology.

  • Any four subjects carrying 100 marks each.

OR

Candidate must have completed Higher Secondary School Certificate

(Std. XII) examination with vocational subject conducted by the

different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of

Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following

subjects:-

  • English

  • Any one vocational subject carrying 200 marks prescribed by the Board from time to time.

  • Any three subjects carrying 100 marks each.

OR

Candidates must have completed Higher Secondary School Certificate (Class 12) examination with the Minimum Competency based vocational

courses conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary

Education with the following subjects :-

  • English

  • Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or Classical Language or Information Technology

  • General Foundation Course.

  • Any one subject carrying 300 marks from among the Minimum Competency based vocational courses prescribed by the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination from time to time.

B.Com Programme

Candidates must have completed their Higher Secondary School Certificate (Class 12) examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

OR

Candidate must pass the Higher Secondary School Certificate

(Class 12) examination with vocational subjects/minimum competency based vocational course conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary

and Higher Secondary Education.

B.Sc Programme

Candidates must complete Higher Secondary School

Certificate examination (Class 12) conducted by the Maharashtra

State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education,

Pune, in the following subjects :-

  • English (Higher or Lower Level)

  • Any one of the Modern Indian

  • Languages OR Modern Foreign

  • Languages OR any Classical

  • Language (Higher Level OR

  • Lower Level) OR Information Technology

Four other subjects from among the subjects mentioned below carrying a total of 400 marks

OR

Candidates must have studied Three other subjects from among the subjects mentioned below carrying a total of 300 marks and one more subject from among the remaining optional subjects carrying 100 marks as prescribed for the class 12 examination

  • Physics

  • Chemistry

  • Biology

  • Mathematics and Statistics

  • Economics

  • Geography

  • Geology

  • Psychology

Candidates applying for the B.A, B.Com and B.Sc programmes offered by the colleges affiliated to the University of Mumbai must check the eligibility criteria prescribed for the courses before applying. Incase the candidates do not fulfill the eligibility prescribed the applicants will not be considered for admissions.
