CCMN 2018

CCMNCCMN 2018: The registration form of CCMN 2018 conducted by NIT Rourkela was available from April 26, 2018. Candidates can register for the Centralised Counselling process from the link given here. The last date to complete the registration is May 27, 2018, NIT Rourkela conducts CCMN 2018 (Centralised Counselling for M.Sc/ M.Sc Tech programmes in NITs and CFTIs). Candidates who wish to take admissions in the M.Sc./ M.Sc(Tech) programmes in NITs and CFTIs should go through the Centralized Counselling procedure followed by CCMN 2018. The CCMN 2018 process will be based on JAM 2018 scores. Candidates who qualify the JAM examination 2018 can register for CCMN 2018 for admissions into 16 NITs (National Institute of Technology) and two CFTIs(Centrally Funded Technical Institutes). The M.Sc/ M.Sc(Tech) admissions into these technical institutions will be done through online counselling process followed by CCMN 2018. Moreover, candidates should note that those who qualified the JAM 2018 but could not sit for CCMN 2018 can also apply to these institutions through National Spot Round that may be conducted by respective institutes at their discretion with the leftover seats after the completion of the counselling process of CCMN 2018. The total number of seats available for admission to the above mentioned 16 NITs and 2 CFITs through CCMN 2018 is more than 1100.

CCMN 2018 Eligibility Criteria

 

Candidates who wish to take admissions in NITs and CFTIs M.Sc programmes can check the eligibility criterion for the CCMN 2018. NIT Rourkela will announce the eligibility criteria of CCMN 2018 on behalf of the other participating technical institutions in the month of May 2018. THE CCMN 2018 eligibility criteria will state a defined set of conditions and regulations required for admissions in M.Sc programmes of these technical institutions.

  • Candidate should appear for JAM 2018.

  • He/She should qualify in JAM 2018.

  • Candidates belonging to General/ OBC category should have scored at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST/ PwD category) in the qualifying undergraduate degree programme.

  • Those in the final year of their qualifying UG degree exam can also apply through CCMN 2018. They would be required to submit their qualifying degree exam certificate.

  • Candidates also need to check the institute-wise special eligibility (if any) before applying for some M.Sc programmes.

CCMN Admission Form 2018

 

Candidates interested in pursuing M.Sc programmes from NITs and CFTIs can fill the admission form of CCMN 2018 through the official link. CCMN 2018 admission forms are availabe online. Candidates are required to fill in the application details, provide a choice of courses and institutions. They need to upload necessary documents and pay the fee before the last day of CCMN 2018 admission form. The process of applying through CCMN 2018 will be online. Candidates should note that no application for CCMN 2018 can be completed before the payment of admission fee.

CCMN 2018 Counselling

 

NIT Rourkela will hold the counselling process of CCMN 2018 on behalf of other participating NITs and CFITs. The counselling process will be offered to JAM 2018 examination qualifying candidates only. The counselling of CCMN 2018 will be held inter-se-merit and choice of courses and institutions by the candidates. Candidates participating in CCMN 2018 process need to fill choices for courses and institutes and lock them within a definite period of time. Once the choice locking has been done by candidates, the CCMN 2018 NIT Rourkela, the organising body will issue first round of seat allotment list.

Candidates can accept the offered seat through CCMN 2018 Round 1 allotment and proceed to next steps.  Those who were unable to apply through CCMN 2018 can wait for the last round of national spot admissions. Candidates who accept the offered seat through CCMN 2018 process are required to pay Rs. 7000 as Part Institute Fee (PIF) within the scheduled time and proceed to next round of seat allotment.

Candidates who were unable to grab a seat in the first round of CCMN 2018 need to wait for the second round of seat allotment. Those who accept the seats need to pay the Balance Institute Fee (BIF) through any of the payment modes valid for the allotted institute and generate Provisional Admission Letter (PAL) after the final updation of seats, if any. Moreover, after the final updation of seats, if any seat is still vacant, there will be a National Spot Round (NSR), where those candidates who have not been allotted any seat in the previous rounds of CCMN 2018 will need to fill information, upload documents and pay the registration fees to generate Permanent Identifier (PID). Candidates, who will be allotted seat in NSR, need to pay the BIF and report to the allotted institute to complete the admission formalities, else they will get a refund and the CCMN 2018 process ends.
