    CCMN Eligibility Criteria 2026

    Candidates who are interested in taking admission to M.Sc. /M.Sc. (Tech.) courses should be aware of the CCMN eligibility criteria before filling the CCMN 2026 application form. Here are the eligibility candidates must have to fill out the CCMN application form 2026.

    1. Applicants are required to have a valid IIT JAM score.

    2. Candidates need a qualifying degree in their particular field of study as set out by the PI with 6.5 CGPA or 60% for Gen, EWS, and OBC, and 6.0 CGPA or 55% for SC, ST, and PwD.

    3. In case, the result of the qualifying degree is not available yet, provisional admission will be allowed provided the above minimum academic requirements.

    4. For some of the programmes in a few participating institutes, special eligibility criteria will be applicable. Candidates are urged to make sure that they fulfil special requirements before choosing these programmes at the time of choice filling.

    CCMN Application Form 2026

    The conducting NIT will release the CCMN 2026 application form in May. Candidates will be able to register for CCMN 2026 registration till the deadline. The NIT conducts the CCMN 2026 counselling for the registered candidates. Candidates have to fill all the important details on the application form carefully. Apart from filling the CCMN application form, aspirants had to pay a non-refundable registration fee to complete the application satisfactorily.     Steps to fill CCMN Application Form 2026

    Given below are the steps that a candidate can follow to fill the application form of CCMN 2026.

    Step 1 - Online Registration

    • Go to the CCMN 2026 official website at ccmn.admissions.nic.in

    • Then, click on ‘New Registration’ option.

    • Add the details such as email ID and password.

    • Click on the “Submit” tab.

    Step 2 - Filling Application Form

    Applicants are now required to enter the following details in their CCMN application form

    • Registration number.

    Step 3 - Preview

    Candidates can preview their filled application form on CCMN 2026 official website, after filling in all the details by clicking on "Proceed." Candidates must make sure to check all the details entered, as there are chances that the application could be rejected in the case of wrong information. If candidates want to make changes, they can make them in the application form.

    Step 4 - Generating permanent identifier

    • Candidates are supposed to create a new password.

    • Type a new password and re enter the same password.

    • Click on “Submit”.

    • An OTP will be sent to the candidates on their registered email ID and password.

    • To generate a permanent identifier, enter the OTP.

    Step 5 - Demographic details required in CCMN application form 2026

    Step 8 - Application fee payment

    CCMN 2026 Choice filling

    Aspirants who have submitted their CCMN 2026 application form must submit their choice of program and institute in order of preference.

    • The candidate's eligibility will determine the institutes and programmes that are available to them.

    • Candidates may select as many options from the list of available options to fill out in the order of their preferences.

    • If a candidate wants to change their preferred options, they may do so within the allotted time for each round specified in the counselling schedule. Only when choices have been locked are candidates required to take a printout of the completed options.

    CCMN Counselling 2026

    • Counselling for the CCMN is primarily based on candidates' scores in the JAM 2026.

    • CCMN 2026 counselling includes four steps: registration, choice filling, seat assignment, and counselling and payment confirmation.

    • For candidates wanting to participate in the M.Sc/M.Sc (Tech) admissions counselling process, registration with CCMN is mandatory.

    • CCMN 2026 will only be open to candidates who pass the JAM 2026 cutoff and make the merit list.

    • During the CCMN 2026 seat allocation process, the closing scores for each subject and each institute will be announced.

    • Candidates who accept seats must pay the Balance Institute Fee (BIF) through the payment options provided by their allotted institute and claim their Provisional Admission Letter (PAL).

    • After the final list is published, there will be a 'National Sport Round' if there are any vacant seats. Candidates who failed to obtain seats in the previous CCMN 2026 counselling rounds will now have to fill out particulars, upload their documents, and pay a non-transferrable fee to obtain a Permanent Identifier (PID).

    CCMN Merit List 2026

    The conducting NIT will release the CCMN 2026 merit list for first round in June. If there are two or more candidates with the same common percentile, then the tie will be resolved based on the inter-se-merit a candidate is deemed to have, following the below-mentioned criteria.

    • The candidate who scored the highest on JAM 2026 will be preferred.

    • If the JAM scores of the two candidates are equal, preference will be given to the older applicant.

    • If the applicants have the same percentile, JAM score, and date of birth, a random number is generated to decide the rank list. Candidates with lower random numbers will be given preference.

    CCMN Cut Off 2026

    The CCMN cutoff is determined according to the candidates' scores in the JAM 2026 and the number of seats available at the participating institutes. In the cut off for CCMN 2026, candidates can download a PDF that includes the closing score and final rank, which they can study at their leisure. The CCMN cutoff 2026 will be released in five rounds, and if any seats remain vacant after all five rounds, those seats are filled by the National Sport Round and the Institutional Sport Round.

    CCMN Seat Allotment 2026

    The conducting NIT will release CCMN 2026 first allotment list in June. Candidates will be able to check the CCMN seat allotment 2026 by visiting the official website. The CCMN seat allotment process is conducted in a total of five rounds after the release of the CCMN cut off 2026. At participating institutes, all seats available for admission will be considered for allotment. Seats are assigned according to the merit and a cutoff score based on the choices made by candidates at the time of registration. Candidates who are allotted seats must deposit the seat acceptance fee via SBI-MOPS within a stipulated time period and they can download the Provisional Seat Allotment Letter, and move on to the next step.

    CCMN 2026 Online Document Uploading

    After logging onto the official CCMN website, candidates will then have to upload the appropriate documents. If you are paying the seat acceptance fee, you will have the option to upload documents only after you have paid the fee.

    CCMN 2026 Online Submission of Willingness

    Candidates will next be called on to exercise the online Submission of Willingness. They will have three options:

    • Float- If applicants wish to be considered in the next round for all of their better-preferred choices (i.e. across the institutes).

    • Slide- If candidates wish to be considered in the next round for their better-preferred choices only within the institute allotted to them.

    • Freeze- if they are satisfied with the currently allotted seat and not interested in their better-preferred choices in the subsequent round(s).

    Online Documents Verification

    • The document verification is done by the verifying officer of the respective allotted institute only in the online mode.

    • If there is a question regarding the documents, the document verifying officer of the allotted institute will contact the candidate, who can respond through his/her login.

    • As part of the allotment process, the candidate will be required to submit his clarifications/documents in response to the questions raised by the Document Verification Officer of the allocated institute within the stipulated time frame, failing which he will be treated as Not-Reported. Subsequently, his/her seat will be cancelled and not be considered for seat allocation in subsequent rounds.

    • During document verification, if the personal data submitted by the candidate during online registration is found to be false, his/her seat allotment is liable to be cancelled.

    • In the event that all documents are verified and the seat is confirmed, the candidate will be required to complete the admission formalities by paying the balance institute fee during the ′′Online Admission′′ period following Round-3 of regular rounds, as per the schedule provided on the CCMN 2026 website, otherwise, the seat will be forfeited and treated as an ′′Auto-Withdrawal′′.
