CBSE Class 12 compartmental students can and should apply for DU mid entry rounds 2026. The University of Delhi has issued a specific advisory urging CBSE Class 12 compartment students to complete first phase fo fDU midentry registration during the registration window which will be closed on August 5.

By doing so, students safeguard their academic interests by ensuring their candidature remains active in DU CSAS database until their final compartment results are announced. Delhi University opened the mid entry and correction window for UG CSAS with a Rs 1000 non-refundable fees, after which, the DU CSAS third allotment 2026 will be released, on August 8.

Candidates who have appeared in the CBSE Class 12 Compartment exam 2026 are advised to apply during the Mid-Entry window (August 3 to 5) and complete Phase 1 registration. Because, completing the DU mid entry registration 2026 keeps the student's candidature active in the DU UG CSAS system. Afterwards, students will become eligible to fill in preferences and complete mid entry phase 2 once their final CBSE compartment results are declared.
Candidates who failed to apply for DU CSAS portal initially can register now by paying an additional non-refundable Mid-Entry fee of Rs 1000. Candidates who didn't complete DU UG round 2 registration 2026 can now add/ save their college and programme preferences. Moreover, students whose forms were rejected in first two rounds of DU UG counselling 2026, due to incorrect subject-mapping, non-fulfillment of eligibility, or invalid documents can correct their details and re-edit preferences. Candidates who haven't received any seat allocation up to DU UG CSAS round 2 can modify their preferences.
The DU UG mid entry rounds have restrictions. For example, students who belong to supernumerary quotas like ECA, Sports, CW (Children/Wards of Armed Forces), and Ward Quota are not allowed to participate in DU mid entry. Additionally, candidates who are applying to DU under performance based and practical programmes like B.A. (Hons) Music, B.Sc. (Physical Education, Health Education & Sports), and BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) are also not allowed to apply to mid entry rounds.
Note: Candidates who previously applied under ECA/ Sports/ CW must review and submit their preferences before the August 5 deadline for subsequent allocations. As per official DU figures, 71,342 students have accepted seats against 71,624 seats after the earlier rounds.
