Candidates who have appeared in IGNOU Term-End Exams (TEE) must secure minimum passing marks separately in theory and practical/assignments to qualify. For undergraduate programmes, students need at least 35% individually in theory and assignments, with 18 out of 50 marks needed for 50-mark papers.
For postgraduate programmes, the minimum passing marks are 40% in both theory and practical/assignment papers. The final result is calculated based on combined scores of the term-end exam and assignments. Assignments generally contribute about 30% to the final grade and are mandatory to pass along with theory exams for course completion.
