IGNOU Grade Card Marks Not Showing: What Not Completed Means?

The Indira Gandhi National Open University will conclude the IGNOU December 2024 term end exam on January 9. The university has already started announcing the early result declaration for the December 2024 term end exam. Students can check their marks on their IGNOU grade card by entering their enrollment number and programme code.

However, few students who have appeared in June 2024 TEE have seen a delay in the updation of their assignment and practical marks to their IGNOU 2024 gradecard. Students are advised to be patient as the university usually takes around 30 to 45 days to update the marks. Sometimes your IGNOU gradecard may show incomplete marks, despite you having passing marks in TEE and assignment scores. In most cases, IGNOU subjects have two major elements, the term end exam and the assignment. But for some subjects, there are additional elements like practical, project or dissertation papers. If you have not submitted those papers, your grade card will display “Not Completed” for those papers.

What you need to file a concern at IGNOU Grievance Portal?

In case your IGNOU TEE marks are updated but your gradecard is showing “Incomplete” due to the absence of assignment marks, you are required to write to IGNOU helpdesk portal. Here are the details you need to mention in your complaint:

• 10 digit IGNOU enrollment number

• Programme code

• Scanned copy of the IGNOU assignment slip

What to do after submitting IGNOU Grievance?

You will receive a confirmation on your registered email address from the IGNOU helpdesk portal regarding your concern informing you about the steps you can take afterwards. In case of IGNOU assignment marks update, students will be provided with an email associated with their allotted study centre. Candidates may be advised to reach out to the IGNOU study centre co-ordinator through email communication. Students will then be instructed to share a copy of their IGNOU assignment submission slip, and the rest of the process will be taken care of by the concerned study centre coordinator.

What to do if I lost the IGNOU Assignment Submission Slip?

The IGNOU assignment submission slip acts a proof of record that students have actually submitted their assignments in time. Without that, the process for any request becomes difficult. Students are advised to reach out to the coordinator at their allotted IGNOU study centre and submit a written application requesting for consideration. But first, students are strongly advised to check carefully if they still have the slip, even having a digital copy would give a better impression that not having it at all.

Am I not a graduate if IGNOU Gradecard marks are not Updated?

Final year students will not be considered as graduates until all their chosen subjects show “Completed” in the IGNOU gradecard 2024. However, for students who are planning to appear in competitive exams, they can appear for those exams under appearing candidates considering the exam organising body allows it.
