GCAS Portal 2026: Registration, Login, Admission Process & Latest Updates
GCAS Portal 2026: Candidates willing to take admission under different colleges of the Gujarat University must be aware of the GCAS 2026 portal. The GCAS portal provides a single platform for the counselling for both UG and PG courses. Students applying for admission to various UG and PG courses in GCAS participating universities have to visit the official website of the GCAS portal. The Education Department, Government of Gujarat, will start the GCAS registration process for various PG programmes on its official website. Candidates must fill out and submit the application form before the deadline. The GCAS quick registration started for UG in March and for PG courses in May 2026.

What is GCAS Portal 2026?
GCAS Portal is an initiative by the Education Department, Government of Gujarat, aimed at simplifying the admission process for undergraduate and post-graduate programmes. The GCAS 2026 portal facilitates admissions across various faculties in 14 Government Universities and their affiliated colleges.

How to Apply Through GCAS Portal 2026?
Students should follow the steps given below to know how to register in GCAS 2026 portal by following the steps given below:
Visit the official portal - gcas.gujgov.edu.in.
Click on the “Apply Now” tab.
Submit the required details such as candidates name, programme name, category, date of the birth, email id, gender and mobile number and click on ‘Get OTP’.
Aspirants will get an OTP to their registered mobile number and email ID.
Enter the login credentials such as application number and password.
Click on the “Sign in” window.
Enter all the required details in the application form.
Upload the documents required for registration.
Submit the application form and pay the registration fee.
Download the “GCAS 2026 application form” for future reference.
Benefits of GCAS Portal 2026
The GCAS portal will conduct a centralised online admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Gujarat.
Students will be able to apply to all colleges affiliated to the 14 institutions in the state through the GCAS portal.
The GCAS admission process helps candidates choose their desired course and institutions.
Candidates have to pay the application fee through the GCAS portal.
Note- The shortlisted candidates' names will be released at the GCAS portal. The shortlisted candidates can get admitted based on the seat availability through the portal.
