The University of Delhi has implemented several changes to the DU UG 2025 tie-breaking criteria. Aspirants of Delhi University filling DU CSAS UG application form 2025 are advised to be aware of the DU UG new tie-breaking criteria 2025. The DU CSAS portal 2025 offers admissions for UG programmes through marks obtained in CUET 2025.
Students who have qualified in Common University Entrance Test will be eligible for admissions in DU UG CSAS admission 2025. If any candidate scores the same rank/marks as another candidate, then the university will offer admissions based on the DU tie-breaking criteria 2025. In this case, the DU CSAS UG 2025 portal will calculate the rank of the students based on the new DU UG 2025 tie-breaking rules. Students can know about DU tie-breaking criteria 2025 in this article.
Candidates applying for admissions to UG programmes through DU CSAS portal 2025 are required to go through the DU 2025 tie-breaking criteria given below.
In the event of a tie, where two or more candidates have the same CUET(UG)-2025 merit score for a Program + College Combination, the following rules will be applied in the stated order to break the tie:
The candidate with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the Best 3 subjects of Class XII will be given preference.
The candidate with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the Best 4 subjects of Class XII will be given preference.
The candidates with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the Best 5 subjects of Class XII will be given preference.
Age of the candidate; preference will be given to the candidate having an earlier date of birth (as mentioned in the Class X certificate).
The candidate with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in Class X will be given preference
Note:
If the marksheet contains both Class XI and Class XII marks, only Class XII marks will be considered.
Any discrepancy in the entry of marks pertaining to the Theory, Practical or Total, will be the sole responsibility of the candidate. Incorrect or mis-information provided by the candidate may lead to cancellation of allocated seats.
If the Class X or/and Class XII mark sheet contains CGPA/ Grades, the candidate will have to convert the Grades into equivalent marks/percentages as per the issuing examination board (refer to Annexure II for Grade conversion).
