DU B.Sc. Eligibility Criteria 2018 -
The University of Delhi will release the DU B.Sc 2018 Eligibility Criteria for the B.Sc Programmes offered by the university on May 15, 2018. As per the admission notification of the University of Delhi, the Eligibility Criteria for DU B.Sc 2018 will differ according to the different courses offered under the programme. Also, applicants seeking admission to the B.Sc programmes should have passed the qualifying examination obtaining minimum marks as specified for each of the programmes in subsequent sections. Candidates must make sure to check the DU B.Sc. 2018 Eligibility Criteria of the subjects before applying to a particular course. The Application form will be available on the controller’s website from the fourth week of May. Candidates who wish to apply for the B.Sc. Programme can download the form and submit the filled application until the third week of June 2018. 

DU Admission 2018 will begin in the month of May 2018 and continue until June 2018. Candidates can check the details related to the admission procedure here.

DU B.Sc. Eligibility Criteria 2018: Requirements for Admission

Qualifying Examinations

Qualifying examinations for the purpose of admission to the first year of undergraduate

programmes offered by the University of Delhi shall be Senior Secondary School Certificate

Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination

recognized as equivalent.


DU B.Sc. 2018 Eligibility Criteria – Required Marks

The minimum marks required by a candidate to qualify for the application process of B.Com programme is given below.

Eligibility Criteria

B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science

Candidate should secure a minimum of 60% or more marks in Mathematics, one language and two other subjects (Elective)

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics,


50% marks in Mathematics and an aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination

B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Anthropology

Candidates should secure a minimum of 55% or more marks in the aggregate of 3 subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology for B.Sc. (Hon) Biological Science and Physics, Chemistry & Biology/ Biotechnology


Physics, Chemistry and Biology for B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Anthropology) and should pass one language (English) with minimum 50% marks.



B.Sc. (Hons.) Biological Science

B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics, Chemistry,

Electronics, Instrumentation, Polymer Science

The overall percentage in 3 subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Geology/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Geography should be a minimum of 55% and one compulsory language with minimum 50% aggregate

B.Sc. (Hons.)Geology

B.Sc. (Hons.) Food Technology

55% or more marks in the aggregate of 3

subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology/ Biotechnology and 50% in English as a compulsory language

B.Sc. (Hons.)Bio- Chemistry

55% or more marks in the aggregate of 3 subjects (Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and Physics/Mathematics, i.e. PCB or CBM and55% or more in one compulsory language (i.e. English).

B.Sc. (Mathematical Sciences)

The Merit shall be determined on the basis of one language,

Mathematics and two best elective

B.Sc. In Physical Science/Applied Physical Science(s)

45% or more marks in the aggregate of 3 subjects (Physics, Chemistry/ Computer Science, Mathematics and passing in one compulsory language (i.e. English).

B.Sc. Life Sciences/Applied Life


45% or more marks in the aggregate of 3 subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology) and 40% minimum marks in one compulsory language (i.e. English).

B.Sc. Home Science (Pass)

Aggregate of English and any 3 discipline Subjects (Electives) and it is essential for the candidate to have cleared English

B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science

At least 50% marks in the aggregate of any three of the following subjects: Physics/Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology/ and other Subjects (Electives except languages)

B.Sc. (Hons.) Biomedical Science

An aggregate of at least 55% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology (PCB/Bt) and at least 50% marks in English (compulsory subject)Students having PCB/Bt with

Mathematics should score minimum 60%marks)

The application forms for DU B.Sc. 2018 will be available on the controller’s website in the fourth week of May. Candidates interested to apply for the programmes offered must check the eligibility criteria for the same before applying to the individual subjects and affiliated colleges.
