DDU Entrance Exam Registration 2025 Begins Soon Through Samarth Portal: Report

The Government of Uttar Pradesh is planning to streamline the admission process for Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University along with several other UP universities though a common admission portal, as per the report by Dainik Bhaskar.

The government is planning to implement a Samarth portal for Deen Dayal Upadhyaya university admissions. The Samarth registration is expected to start from March 2025. There will not be any registration fees for Samarth UP registration. The initiative is taken to bring all the universities under one umbrella and to reduce hassle faced by the students. What is the Samarth Portal for DDU?

The Samarth portal is an initiative by the Ministry of Education, which streamlines the process for admission and other administrative processes for Higher educational institutions. A few of the top universities that use Samarth portal are central universities in India and many other higher education institutions like IGNOU.

Which UP Universities will Accept Samarth Application?

As per the latest report, Samarth registration is required for admission to six central and 33 state universities in Uttar Pradesh including Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University. Some of the other universities in UP in the list are:

• Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University

• Banaras Hindu University

• University of Allahabad

• Bundelkhand University

DDU Samarth Portal: Major Changes

• Process of Registration: Unlike past processes, now the registration will be conducted through the Samarth portal. Students are not required to apply for the CUET exam for other UP universities anymore.

• No Application Fees: The Samarth portal registration will be free of charge. Students are only required to pay when applying to any particular university.

• Entrance Exam: Instead of an uniform entrance exam like CUET, universities will now be responsible for conducting their own entrance tests. The DDU will continue with their own entrance test.

• One portal for all: Instead of applying to every university individually, now only one registration at Samarth portal will allow students to apply everywhere in UP.

• May apply to all UP state universities: Unlike CUET exam, where only participating universities are involved, now all the state universities in Uttar Pradesh are a part of the process.

DDU Samarth Portal Admission: Key Insights

• Starts from 2025: Although it is under discussion, the Samarth portal application system will likely start from 2025.

• No changes in Entrance Exam System: Although there has been a motion that universities will conduct their own entrance exams, there might not be major changes done to already existing entrance systems like CUET. Just the application process will be streamlined.

• The process has already started: The concerned authority has started collecting data from the universities in UP.
