    The IIT JAM 2026 official website has been launched by IIT Bombay at jam2026.iitb.ac.in. IIT JAM 2026 exam has undergone various changes like participating universities, syllabus, application fee, and exam date. The number of JAM participating institutes 2026 have been increased from 22 to 23. IIT Dharwad will also accept IIT JAM 2026 scores for admissions along with 21 other IIT’s and IISc Bangalore.

    Earlier, there were a total of 22 JAM participating institutes including 21 IIT’s and IISc Bangalore. IIT Bombay has also implemented various changes in the JAM syllabus 2026 of Biotechnology, Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. The IIT JAM 2026 has also seen a change in the application fees. The JAM 2026 application fees have been increased compared to the previous year. Students can go through the article to know more about the changes in IIT JAM 2026.

    What are the Changes in IIT JAM 2026?

    IIT Bombay has implemented several changes in IIT JAM exam 2026 including application fees, syllabus, participating institutes and exam schedule.

    Participating Institutes - The number of participating institutes for IIT JAM 2026 has been increased from 22 to 23. IIT Dharwad will also offer admissions for various M.Sc. programmes based on the marks obtained in JAM 2026 exam.

    JAM 2026 Syllabus - IIT Bombay has made changes in IIT JAM 2026 syllabus in Biotechnology, Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. Students can check the detailed changes in JAM subject-wise syllabus 2026 in this article.

    JAM 2026 Application Fees - The application fee for IIT JAM 2026 single test paper has been increased from Rs/- 900 to Rs/- 1000 for Female/SC/ST/PwD categories. For others, the application fee is increased from Rs/- 1800 to Rs/- 2000.

    Whereas, the IIT JAM 2026 application fees for two test papers has been increased from Rs/- 1250 to Rs/- 1350. Similarly, for others the application fees is increased from Rs/- 2500 to Rs/- 2700.

    JAM Exam Date 2026 - IIT Bombay will conduct the IIT JAM 2026 exam on February 15 in CBT mode. Whereas, the JAM 2025 exam was held on February 2.
