The 1st allotment of MG University UG 2024 was out on June 18.

The MG University BEd registration 2024 has started at cap.mgu.ac.in. Candidates who meet the Mahatma Gandhi University eligibility are required to appear for the counselling process of MGU CAP 2024. The MGU CAP 2024 counselling was held for candidates selected in the MGU CAP seat allotment 2024.
The university conducts MGU CAT exam for programmes which relate to statutory teaching departments/schools of the Mahatma Gandhi University. The Mahatma Gandhi University releases the MGU CAP seat allotment based on the last qualifying exam marks. The MGU CAP 2024 offers admission to 52 BA specialisations, 43 B.Sc., 14 Commerce and 8 B.Tech courses along with the MGU PG CAP courses like 27 MA, 44 M.Sc., 10 M.Com and 6 M.Tech programmes at Mahatma Gandhi University. Candidates are advised to go through the MGU CAP 2024 eligibility criteria before filling the MGU CAP application form. Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements of the MGU CAP eligibility criteria will not be eligible to secure admission in the Mahatma Gandhi University. Candidates are required to qualify in the UG level exam with the prescribed passing marks to be eligible for admissions to any programmes offered at the Mahatma Gandhi University. They need to have one core or main subject and two complementary or subsidiary subjects from a college/ university based out in Kerala or a university that is recognised by Mahatma Gandhi University as equivalent.

To be eligible for admission to PG programmes offered by the Mahatma Gandhi University, candidates must have a bachelor degree with double or triple main subjects from another university. They also have to make sure that they have passed the Degree Examination in Vocational or Specialized Programmes. Candidates are required to submit a copy of the Equivalency/Eligibility Certificate issued by the Mahatma Gandhi University clearly mentioning all the details of the qualifying examination and that it has the credibility to offer admission to a candidate on its merit to the relevant PG course(s) as applicable, at the time of admission. However, this criteria is not applicable for the candidates who have cleared the qualifying examination from Mahatma Gandhi University.

The Mahatma Gandhi University released the MGU CAP UG 2024 application form on May 15, on the official website. Candidates are required to fill and submit the MGU CAP 2024 application form before its deadline, June 13. The MGU CAP 2024 application process includes various procedures like registration, filling up the application forms and paying the application fee. All the details mentioned in the MGU CAP application form should be correct. The application process of MGU CAP 2024 is completely online and will not be accepted in offline (post/courier) mode.
Follow the steps given below to fill the MGU CAP application form 2024:
Step 1. Visit the MGU CAP official website- cap.mgu.ac.in.
Step 2. Click on the “UG CAP - 2024” or “PG CAP - 2024”.
Step 3. Read through the online instructions to fill in relevant details in the form.
Step 4. Register to create a ‘Password’.
Step 5. Click on “PAY NOW” button and make the fee payment
Step 6. After paying the application fee, candidates will be redirected back to the application page.
Step 7. Enter the personal and academic details of eligibility in the relevant section of the application form.
Step 8. Click on the ‘Final Submission’ button to review information provided by them.
Step 9. Take printouts of multiple copies of the duly filled in MGU CAP application form 2024.
Candidates can pay the MGU CAP 2024 application fee via Debit Card/Credit Card/ Net banking via a secured gateway provided by the university.

The Mahatma Gandhi University announced the MGU CAP UG 2024 2nd seat allotment on June 24, in online mode. Candidates can check the MGU CAP result by visiting the official website and entering their login credentials in the result window. Candidates who have qualified must report to the admission colleges within the scheduled time. The university will hold three rounds of MGU CAP seat allotment 2024, two special rounds for SC, ST candidates and two supplementary rounds to allocate the seats in the affiliated colleges.

The university would deduct five marks for every successive attempt after the first attempt of the subject. Further, if candidates take up more than two chances to complete the examination twenty marks will be deducted from the total marks by the university.
No appearance for improvement of marks shall be considered as an additional chance.
After the duration of prescribed programmes, the number of attempts indicates the number of chances taken by the candidate to complete any part of the qualifying examination.

If the marks scored by the candidates in the previously qualified examination is same, the tie breaker will be resolved following the steps mentioned below:
Candidates having scored higher marks in the concerned elective subject will get a preference in the rank list. For example, in order to apply for B.Com. programme, the business studies (commerce) subject chosen by them will be considered an elective subject.
Candidates will be considered for the rank list if they have scored higher marks in part III subjects (or subjects other than languages in case the part is not specified). Note, candidates will be considered for the rank list only if they have scored higher marks in part I (English, if the part is not specified).
Candidates will be considered for the rank list if they have scored higher marks in part II (the second language, if the part is not specified).
Residential weightage of district/state levels is applicable.
Older candidates in age will be given consideration. Here, the age difference will be calculated in terms of completed years only, rounding down to fractions.

Candidates confirming their admission by cancelling the other options have to pay the fee in the institution.
To retain the higher options, candidates must pay the fee in the institution right at the time of admission. However, by the time the third allotment is released, candidates need to remit the fee that is applicable to the programme secured in the higher choices (except SC/ST candidates) and join the college till all the release of allotment lists is over
Selected candidates who are allotted seats are required to report for admission at the applied college to pay the requisite fee through Online Payment Gateway on the official website. After the fee has been paid, they have to also download the allotment memo. If candidates fail to join within the scheduled time, their admission will be withdrawn and the seats allotted to them will be passed on to other deserving candidates who have claimed admission through MGU CAP allotment list 2024.
Candidates need to produce the following original documents to the respective college/institution at the time of admission-
Copy of the allotment memo received online
Marksheet of all parts of 10+2 /equivalent examination.
Birth certificate
Migration certificate (if applicable)
Transfer certificate (TC) from the last attended institution and conduct certificate
Caste certificate for SC/ST candidates and other documents as issued by the Head of Institution
Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from other Boards/Institutes/governments, except Board of Higher Secondary Education Kerala, VHSE Kerala, THSE Kerala, CBSE and CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations must submit eligibility certificate as issued by Mahatma Gandhi University
Candidates who wish to avail reservation under EBFC must submit the Community Certificate along with other relevant certificates issued by the revenue authorities specifying that the candidate belongs to the Below Poverty Line (BPL)
Community Certificate along with non-creamy layer certificate issued (as per Government rules) from the revenue authorities concerned in the case of SEBC candidates who wish to claim reservation under the SEBC category.
Note: the non-creamy layer certificate should not be older than 12 months from the time of submission of the MGU CAP 2024 application.
The last date to apply for MGU CAP UG 2024 registration was June 14.

CAP is known as the Centralised Allotment Process for the MG University.
Candidates applying for admissions in MG University must score a minimum of 35 - 40 marks to qualify for admission.
The MGU CAP UG 2024 registrations started on May 15, on the official website of Mahatma Gandhi University and was closed on June 13.
Only those candidates who pay the required fee to the University (Rs. 703/- for those who have graduated from MG University, Rs. 853/- for those who have graduated from other Universities, and Rs. 50/- for SC/ST candidates) will be able to download the allotment memo.
