MGU CAP 2026: The Mahatma Gandhi University will start the MGU CAP 2026 registration for the UG courses in May. Candidates can register for the UG, PG and other courses by visiting the website at cap.mgu.ac.in. Before applying for the MGU, candidates must read the eligibility criteria of the desired course. In order to apply for the Mahatma Gandhi University, students need to register using their mobile number and email id followed by filling all the details, uploading of documents and paying of application fees.

MGU CAP Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates are advised to go through the MGU CAP 2026 eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements of the MGU CAP eligibility criteria will not be eligible to secure admission in the Mahatma Gandhi University. In such cases, candidates will also lose the MGU CAP application fee, as it is not refundable. Thus, students should go through the MGU CAP 2026 eligibility criteria before applying for admissions in the University. Candidates had Tamil as one of the subjects in Class 10 and 10+2/equivalent level.

B. A. (Hons.) Sanskrit

Candidates had Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Class10 and 10+2 /equivalent level

B.A. Programmes

Candidates have cleared the 10+2/equivalent examination with qualifying marks from a recognized board

B.Sc. Mathematics

Candidates had Mathematics as a core/optional subject in the Commerce group in 10+2 level.

B.Sc. Physics

Candidates had cleared 10+2/equivalent examinations with Physics as a core/optional subject.

B.Sc. Chemistry

Candidates had Chemistry as a core/optional subject in 10+2/equivalent level.

B.Sc. Geology

Candidates had any two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Geology in 10+2/ equivalent level.

B.Sc. Statistics

Candidates had Mathematics or Statistics as a core/optional subject in 10+2/equivalent examinations.

B. Sc. Bioinformatics

Candidates had Biology as a core/optional subject in 10+2/equivalent level

Candidates had cleared 10+2 level examination with Book-Keeping and Accountancy as core subjects and optional subjects from the following subjects mentioned below under Part III of the examination.

Candidates had any two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Geology in 10+2/ equivalent level.

MGU PG CAP Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates are required to qualify in the UG level exam with the prescribed passing marks to be eligible for admissions to any programmes offered at the Mahatma Gandhi University. They need to have one core or main subject and two complementary or subsidiary subjects from a college/ university based in Kerala or a university that is recognised by Mahatma Gandhi University as equivalent.

Or

To be eligible for admission to PG programmes offered by the Mahatma Gandhi University, candidates must have a bachelor degree with double or triple main subjects from another university. They also have to make sure that they have passed the Degree Examination in Vocational or Specialized Programmes. Candidates are required to submit a copy of the Equivalency/ Eligibility Certificate issued by the Mahatma Gandhi University clearly mentioning all the details of the qualifying examination. MGU CAP M.Sc. Physics Eligibility Criteria 2026

Graduates who have cleared the qualifying examination in CBCSS (2010) pattern

Graduates who have cleared the qualifying examination in CBCCS (2014) pattern

Graduates who have cleared the qualifying examination in other patterns

Candidates have completed their graduation in Physics or Electronic Equipment maintenance with CGPA not less than 2.00 out of 4 in the Core Group (Core + Complementary + Open courses)

Candidates have completed their graduation in Physics or Electronic Equipment maintenance with CCPA not less than 5.00 out of 10.00 in the Core Group (Core + Complementary + Open courses)

Candidates have completed their graduation in Physics or Electronic Equipment maintenance with not less than 50% marks in the Part III subjects (Main/Core+ Subsidiaries/Complementaries).

MGU CAP MA Economics Eligibility Criteria 2026

Graduates who have cleared the qualifying examination in CBCSS (2009) pattern

Graduates who have cleared the qualifying examination in CBCCS (2013) pattern

Graduates who have passed the qualifying examination in other patterns

Candidate is a graduate in Economics /Mathematics / Statistics having scored a CGPA of 1.8 out of 4 in the core group (Core + Open + Complementary)

Candidate is a graduate in Economics /Mathematics/ Statistics having scored a CCPA not less than 4.5 out of 10 in the core group (Core + Open + Complementary)

Candidate is a graduate in Economics/Mathematics /Statistics having scored a minimum of 45% in the Part III subjects (Main + subsidiaries) or is a B.Sc. degree holder in Co-operation and Banking and has scored 45% marks from Kerala Agricultural University.

MGU CAP MA English Eligibility Criteria 2026

Graduates have cleared the qualifying examination in the CBCSS (2009) pattern

Graduates have cleared the qualifying examination in the CBCCS (2013) pattern

Graduates have cleared the qualifying examination in other patterns

Candidates in the core group (core plus open and complementary courses) have scored a CGPA of 1.80 out of 4.00.

Note; in case the CGPA scored by the candidate for common course is more than the CGPA scored for core course, in such a case only the CGPA scored for common course will be taken into consideration while calculating the index marks (subject to candidates have secured a minimum CGPA of 2.00 for common course)

Candidates in the core group (core plus open and complementary courses) have scored a CCPA of 4.5 out of 10.00.

Note, in case the CCPA scored by the graduate for common course is greater than the CGPA scored for core course, in such a case the CGPA scored for common course will only be taken into consideration for the calculation of index marks (subject to candidates have secured a minimum CCPA of 5.00 for common course)

Candidates have scored 45 % in main and subsidiary subjects falling under Part III.

However, if the mark scored by the candidate in Part I English is more than the mark scored in Part III, then the marks secured in Part I English will only be taken into consideration for the calculation of index marks, (subject to candidates have secured a minimum of 50% in Part I English)

Graduates who have cleared the qualifying examination in CBCSS (2009) pattern

Graduates who have cleared the qualifying examination in CBCCS (2013) pattern

Graduates who have cleared the qualifying examination in other patterns

Candidates must be a graduate in any degree having Mathematics/

Statistics as one of the subjects and scored a CGPA not less than 2.00 out of 4 in the Core Group (Core + Open + Complementary). Candidates have completed graduation in Commerce and scored a CGPA not less than 2.00 out of 4 in the Core Group (Core + Open + Complementary) (Subject to, candidates have studied Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Applications at Plus Two level or at the Graduate level)

Candidates must be a graduate in any degree with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects of study with CCPA not less than 5.00 out of 10.00 in the Core Group (Core + Open + Complementary). Candidates have completed graduation in Commerce with CCPA not less than 5.00 out of 10.00 in the Core Group (Core + Open + Complementary) (subject to, they have studied Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Applications at Plus Two level or at the Graduate level)

MGU CAP Application Form 2026

The MGU CAP 2026 application process includes various procedures like registration, filling up the application forms and paying the application fee. All the details mentioned in the MGU CAP application form should be correct. The application process of MGU CAP 2026 is completely online and will not be accepted in offline (post/ courier) mode.

Steps to fill the MGU CAP 2026 Application Form

Follow the steps given below to fill the MGU CAP application form 2026:

Step 1. Visit the MGU CAP official website- cap.mgu.ac.in.

Step 2. Click on the “UG CAP - 2026” or “PG CAP - 2026”.

Step 3. Read through the online instructions to fill in relevant details in the form.

Step 4. Register to create a ‘Password’.

Step 5. Click on “PAY NOW” button and make the fee payment

Step 6. After paying the application fee, candidates will be redirected back to the application page.

Step 7. Enter the personal and academic details of eligibility in the relevant section of the application form.

Step 8. Click on the ‘Final Submission’ button to review information provided by them.

Step 9. Take printouts of multiple copies of the duly filled in MGU CAP application form 2026.

To access the MGU CAP 2026 login, go to the Login page on the MGU website. Candidates have to enter their User ID and Password in the provided fields and click 'Login'. Aspirants will then be redirected to the MGU CAP homepage.

MGU CAP Seat Allotment Result 2026

Candidates can check the MGU CAP result by visiting the official website and entering their login credentials in the result window. Candidates who have qualified must report to the admission colleges within the scheduled time. For MGU PG Courses

  • The MGU rank list 2026 for PG programmes are prepared based on the marks secured by the candidates in the previously qualified examination in part III subjects (unless otherwise mentioned) that is standardised to 1000.
