STEP 1: Personal Details

STEP 2: Upload Documents
Students need to upload some scanned documents.

STEP 3: Select the Desired Programme
Students have to choose the desired programme. Candidates have to select their desired institute and courses. They have to fill up their choices according to their preferences.
STEP 4: Declaration
In the next step, candidates have to preview the JAM 2026 admission form. After previewing the form, they have to click on the ‘I agree’ tab.
STEP 5: Fee Payment
After submitting the declaration, candidates will be redirected to the payment option. Candidates have to pay the required amount via Debit Card, Credit Card or Internet Banking. This is the last step to fill the 2026 JAM admission form.
IIT, Mumbai will release JAM first admission lists in the JOAPS site in May. Students will be able to see the admission lists by logging in through the given credentials in the JOAPS site. The candidates' names, the topic they choose, and their individual ranks will all be included in the admission list for IIT JAM 2026. Students have to make the online payment for seat booking. Candidates can anticipate receiving their acceptance letters after the release of the final JAM admission list 2026.

Your exam result will still be generated after you take the IIT JAM exam .
But if you do not submit a valid EWS certificate , then:
Your EWS category benefit will be cancelled .
Your result may be treated as General category .

If your IIT JAM status shows “Under Scrutiny: Defect Rectification Done”, it means your correction is submitted and under review. Keep checking your portal, once verified, it’ll change to “Accepted” or “Found Defective.” Updates usually appear within 2–3 days before the portal closes.

For IIT JAM BIOTECHNOLOGY EXAMINATION the 4 subjects are PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, MATHEMATICS AND BIOLOGY and the candidate must be graduated with other criteria. Nowhere in the eligibilities it is needed to have mathematics in +2 level.

JAM exam is conducting in english only , no hindi option is available in this exam so there is no choice to giving the IIT JAM exam in Hindi , you must have to prepare in english for IIT JAM .
