JAM Admission Form 2018 - The Admission form of JAM 2018 is available from April 3, 2018. To apply and fill the admission form of JAM 2018, candidates must log in to JOAPS on this page. Candidates who have appeared for JAM and qualified in it will be eligible to fill the JAM admission form 2018. Candidates must make a note that only the names which appeared in the JAM 2018 Merit list will be able to fill the JAM 2018 Admission Form. After filling up and submitting the JAM admission form 2018, candidates will be called for counselling and seat allotment into the M.Sc, Ph.D. and other science courses offered by the IITs and IISc Bangalore. It may be noted that candidates can submit only one JAM 2018 Admission Form after listing all the programmes at IISc and IITs in order of preferences where the candidate is seeking admission in the given form.

Filling up the JAM Admission Form 2018
Candidates can log in to the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) and fill in their personal details and other important information.

B. Documents Upload & Academic Details
Upload Category Certificate in PDF/JPEG format with size not more than 1 MB
Class X & XII:
Exam Passed with details of University/Board, Year of Passing, Marks
Upload Certificates & Marks sheet merger as one PDF (not exceeding 1 MB)
Candidates have to upload Class XII
Details of Year, Semester, Paper, Marks, Total Marks
Candidates whose results are awaited must fill up to the Pre-Final
Upload Degree Certificate - more than one-page documents have to be merged into a single PDF not exceeding 1 MB
Candidates must upload Year wise documents and not semester wise.
OBC-NCL Candidates: A valid OBC-NCL certificate in the prescribed format must be uploaded by candidates (if applicable) after 31st March 2017. The final Seat Allotment for JAM 2018 will be done based on the OBC-NCL certificate submitted along with the application form for admission. In case of invalid OBC- NCL certificates, candidates will be considered in the general category.
C. Programme Choices:
Candidates must select Paper, Institute and Programme.
They can add their choices in the order of their preference.
The JAM 2018 Cut off will be updated for the candidates to aid them in their choice of programme filling.
Candidates must say yes to the declaration and proceed to payment.
Important: Candidates must check all details before submitting as the form cannot be edited later on.
E. Payment of Fees:
Candidates must generate the SBI Challan, print it and visit the nearest SBI branch with it.
A fee of Rs 600 which is non-refundable must be paid in cash at the SBI branch.
The last day to pay the fee is April 19, 2018.
Candidates must upload an image of the Challan in PDF or JPEG format after making the payment.
JAM Admission Form 2018 Status:
After the payment made by candidates is confirmed by SBI, the JAM 2018 authorities will update the application status on the website.

Q: How do I fill JAM admisison form?
Answer: Go to the JOAPS login available in this article and fill the form.
Q: How do I pay the JAM 2018 Admission fee?
Answer: Candidates can pay the Admission Fee online. Payment can be made using credit/ debit/ net banking through the payment gateway. Extra charges, depending upon the mode of payment, will be added to the admission fee during payment. The Application fee for admission is non-refundable.
Q: Which Certificate should I upload for Nationality?
Answer: If you are a General Candidate (and not a foreigner), you have to upload any of the following Certificates for Nationality.
1. Birth Certificate
2. Aadhar Card
3. Voter ID
4. First page of Passport
5. School Transfer Certificate (TC) showing Nationality
6. Nationality Certificate issued by the authorized government agency.
Some of the documents that are NOT accepted for Nationality are :
Ration Card, Bank Passbook, Mark-sheet, PAN Card, Driving License, School/ College ID etc.
If you are unable to upload the Nationality Certificate at the time of application, you can submit the Certificate to the Admitting Institute at the time of admission.
Q: How many preferences can I add?
Answer: You can add as many preferences as possible based on your qualified JAM Test Paper(s). But you must ensure ERs and MEQs requirements of a particular programme at an Institute are satisfied before adding it as one of your programme choices.
Q: Do I need to send any hard copy of the document ?.
Answer: No, There is no need to send a hard copy of any document.
Q: I have only CGPA for Class XII mentioned in the mark sheet. What should I enter in aggregate marks field?
Answer: You should enter the CGPA in the aggregate marks field.
Q: When and how do I know whether I have been offered a programme?
Answer: First set of offers are likely to be made by May 25, 2018. Information will be sent by Email/SMS and will be displayed on the online portal. Second and subsequent offers may be made depending on the availability of the seats.
Q: Can I modify my "Programme Choices" after submitting the application?
Answer: Candidates can modify his/ her "Programme Choices" after submitting the choices but before the last date of submission which is April 17, 2018. Candidates cannot change any other information in the application after submitting their application.
