What is CUET?

The National Testing Agency will conduct the Central Universities Entrance Test or CUET for admission to all central universities in various UG level courses. The CUET 2026 entrance test will be held in online mode.

CUET Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates before filling the application form must check the eligibility criteria of CUET. The candidate must have passed Class 12 examination from a recognized board to be eligible to appear for CUET UG exam 2026. CUET Application Form 2026

The NTA will begin the CUET 2026 application process in February on the official website. The candidates appearing for the CUET entrance examination should check the eligibility criteria of their desired programme before filling the application form of CUET 2026. The candidates need to visit the official website of NTA CUET and register themselves to fill the CUET application form. After filling all the required details they need to pay the CUET application fee with the help of debit card, credit card, net banking, Wallet and UPI. The students belonging to the general category have to pay Rs. 650 and the SC/ST/PwD category students have to pay Rs 550, and candidates belonging to the OBC/EWS category must pay Rs. 600 as the CUET application fee.

How to fill CUET Application Form 2026

Step 1 - Visit the official website of NTA CUET at cuet.nta.nic.in.

Step 2 - Click on the “Registration” tab.

Step 3 - Read all the instructions and start the registration process.

Step 4 - Fill up the registration form and click on the “Save and Continue” tab.

Step 5 - The user will receive an email and SMS containing the login credentials.

Step 6 - Enter the required contact, personal and contact details in the CUET 2026 application form.

Step 7 - Candidates now need to upload the required documents such as a scanned image of passport-sized photograph and signature in the prescribed format.

Step 8 - Pay the application fee in online mode.

Step 9 - Download and take out a few printouts of the duly filled CUET application form.

CUET Syllabus 2026

Candidates should check the syllabus of CUET 2026 to get details on the important topics and units covered in the exam. NTA releases the CUET syllabus for the national level entrance exam on the official website of NTA CUET - cuet.nta.nic.in. The CUET 2026 entrance exam syllabus will help students in understanding the basic structure and difficulty level of the entrance exam.

CUET Exam Pattern 2026

As per the exam pattern of CUET 2026, the question paper of CUET will consist of multiple choice questions and the exam will be held in hybrid mode. The CUET exam pattern may vary for various programmes and levels of courses. Every CUET question paper will consist of MCQs. The duration of the exam will be two hours, as per the CUET exam pattern. The students will be awarded four marks for every correct answer and one mark for every incorrect response will be deducted.

The result of CUET 2026 will be announced at cuetug.ntaonline.in. Candidates who have appeared in the entrance test of NTA CUET can check the CUET result 2026 and download their scorecards. The CUET entrance exam result will be only available in the online mode and no students will receive the hard copy of the results through post or courier.

CUET Score Card 2026

The candidates can download the CUET 2026 score card after checking their results using their application number and date of birth. CUET Admission List 2026

The candidates can check the admission list of CUET 2026 on the official websites of the participating colleges. The CUET admission list mentions details such as the name of the programme, registration number, name of the university, category and total marks. The CUET admission list 2026 will be released based on the scores of the candidates and choices filled by them in the counselling registration. The number of CUET admission lists to be released by the universities may vary depending upon the seats available in the different courses and colleges.

CUET Waiting List 2026

The participating universities will release the waiting list of CUET for various courses based on the vacant seats left after the seat allotment. The CUET 2026 waiting list will mention details such as the name of the programme, category, application number and student’s name. The call for the release of CUET waiting list 2026 will solely be dependent upon the universities. Candidates can check the CUET 2026 waiting list on the official website of the universities and its counselling page.

CUET Login 2026

The candidates can use the CUET 2026 login portal to do various activities such as checking the application status, application correction, downloading the admit card, downloading the scorecard and counselling registration. The NTA will send the CUET login credentials to the candidates after the successful registration. CUET Fees 2026

The candidates need to pay the CUET 2026 fees through debit card, credit card, net banking, Wallet and UPI after filling the application form. The CUET fees for general category students is Rs. 650 and the SC/ST/PwD category students have to pay Rs 550, and candidates belonging to the OBC/EWS category must pay Rs. 600 as the CUET application fee. CUET Seats 2026

The candidates will get admissions in the CUET 2026 seats based on their ranking and position in the merit list. The students will get admission in around CUET seats of all central universities with the help of the entrance test. Each participating university offers a different number of CUET seats 2026 depending upon the vacancies and programmes offered by them.

CUET Reservation Criteria 2026

The central universities reserve some seats for the candidates belonging to the reserved category, as per the CUET 2026 reservation criteria. The students have to produce the original documents supporting the CUET reservation criteria 2026 to the university officials at the time of counselling. According to the CUET reservation criteria, the candidates belonging to the reserved category get 5% relaxation in the minimum percentage required.
