IIT JAM 2027: The IIT Kharagpur will release the IIT JAM 2027 information brochure on August 22, 2026. The JAM 2027 application process will be started on September 5, 2026 at jam.iitkgp.ac.in. Candidates have to check the IIT JAM eligibility criteria before starting the application process. The last date to fill the IIT JAM 2027 application form is October 12, 2026. The IIT Kharagpur will also provide the JAM correction facility for aspirants who made mistakes while filling out the application form from November 10, 2026.
The JAM exam will be held on February 14, 2027. Candidates appearing for JAM 2027 must download the IIT JAM admit card from JOAPS. The results of JAM 2027 will be declared on March 18. The IIT JAM exam is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to over 3000 seats across 89 postgraduate programmes offered across 23 IITs. The IIT JAM exam will consist of a Computer Based Test (CBT) in seven subjects - Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematical Statistics (MS), Mathematics (MA) and Physics (PH). The full form of JAM 2027 is the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Admission Test for Masters. It is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology every year to offer admissions to various M.Sc and PG programmes in IITs and participating institutions.
The IIT JAM is a national-level online entrance examination conducted by IIT Kharagpur to offer admissions for candidates in various M.Sc and PG programmes in IITs . IIT JAM 2027 will offer admissions to around 3000 seats through CCMN counselling. Every year, along with the IIT JAM participating institutes will also conduct the entrance exams for candidates seeking admission to M.Sc and PG programmes. Thousands of students appear for the JAM entrance exam 2027 which will be held in the IIT JAM exam centres. Candidates are advised to go through the entire article to clear questions such as what is the JAM exam etc.
To be eligible for IIT JAM 2027, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, from a recognised university.
Candidates will have to fill out an online application form and submit it along with the requisite application fee. After submission of the application form, candidates must take a printout of the acknowledgement slip for future reference.
Admission Process: Based on the marks secured by the candidates in IIT JAM 2027, a merit list will be prepared. Candidates who make it to the merit list will be eligible to participate in the counseling process. During the counselling process, the candidates will be allotted seats in the IITs based on their rank in the merit list, choice of the course and availability of seats.

The JAM eligibility criteria is the minimum requirement required to apply for the exam. The eligibility criteria of IIT JAM might vary for every programme offered by the IITs and the participating universities. Candidates should check the IIT JAM eligibility criteria 2027 before applying for admissions to M.Sc programmes.
Candidates are required to complete their graduation. The proof of graduation should also be submitted within the deadline.
Marks must be calculated by taking all the subjects into account, including the languages and subsidiaries of all the years combined.
Candidates of General/OBC (NCL) category must have secured a minimum 55% aggregate or 5.5 out of 10 CGPA/CPI in aggregate without rounding off.
The candidates belonging to SC/ST and PwD category should have scored at least 50% or 5.0 out of 10 in their graduation.
The IIT Kharagpur will release the JAM application form 2027 on September 5, 2026. The IIT JAM 2027 application form will be released online. Candidates will have to check the JAM application last date and submit before the deadline, October 12, 2026. Candidates have to create a login ID on the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) using a valid email address, mobile number, and password to fill out the IIT JAM application form 2027. Aspirants have to complete the IIT JAM registration form 2027 by filling out the necessary information and paying the application fee. Visit the JAM official website at jam.iitkgp.ac.in.
Click on the ‘Registration’ tab.
Fill your details accordingly along with mobile number and email id.
Create a strong password.
Submit the details.
Candidates’ registration will be done. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number and email id to confirm registration.
Step 2: Login
Login using enrolment id and password.
Fill the application form with the required details.
Give your exam paper and exam city preference.
Upload the required document in the prescribed format.
Step 3: Paying JAM Application Fee
The application fee must be paid online.
Prints out of the challan must be kept with them.
Step 4: Print the Application Form
After submitting all the details, the application form must be saved and downloaded.

The JAM 2027 data correction window will be opened on November 10. Applicants who made mistakes/errors in the JAM application form 2027 can make changes during the JAM application correction window 2027. Students will not be able to make any changes in the IIT JAM 2027 application form beyond the deadline of the correction window.

The Indian Institute of Technology Joint Admission Test (IIT JAM Exam) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by IITs for admission into their M.Sc., M.Sc.-Ph.D., and other post-graduate science programmes.
