    About SAUET 2026

    SAUET 2026 - The South Asian University has started the SAUET admission process from February 25, 2026. The university conducts an entrance examination to take admission to the UG and PG courses. In order to appear for the SAUET 2026, candidates are required to fill out the application form on or before April 10. The SAUET 2026 will be held on April 25 and 26. Based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance, the university will release the merit list on its website. The SAUET entrance exam will be conducted in 42 exam centres. The question paper consists of 100 questions. The duration of SAUET 2025 exam is of 3 hours. The medium of the question paper is in English.

    Admission to the South Asian University is also done through the CUET PG and JEE scores. The PG programmes offered through the SAUET is MA in Economics, Social Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Computer Sciences and Biotechnology. The university also offers admission in PhD courses through the exam and interview. The SAUET 2026 exam was conducted to enrol students into a total of 180 seats at South Asian University.

    SAUET MA Economics Eligibility Criteria 2026
    Candidates appearing in SAUET 2026 to seek admission in MA Economics need to have a 10+2 degree along with a bachelor’s degree with mathematics as a subject of study at the 10+2 (12th Class) level or the Bachelor’s level or both from an institution recognized by the government of any of the SAARC countries, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade. Candidates who have a 4 year bachelor’s degree or 2 year bachelor’s degree and have cleared the first year of the master’s programme will also be considered eligible.

    MA International Relations Eligibility Criteria 2026
    Aspirants appearing in SAUET to seek admission in MA in International Relations, 12 years of schooling and a 3 year bachelor’s degree from an institution recognized by the government of any of the SAARC countries with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade is a must. Candidates who have a 4 year bachelor’s degree or 2 year bachelor’s degree and have cleared the first year of the master’s programme will also be considered eligible.

    MA Sociology Eligibility Criteria 2026
    Aspirants of SAUET 2025 seeking admission in MA Sociology need to have a 10+2 degree and a 3-year bachelor’s degree from an institution recognized by the government of any of the SAARC countries in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade. Candidates having a 4 year Bachelor’s degree or 2 year Bachelor’s degree and who have cleared the first year of the master’s programme will also be considered eligible.

    M.Sc.

    Eligibility Criteria for MSc Applied Mathematics
    Aspirants seeking for admission in M.Sc Applied Mathematics should have 10+2 schooling degree with a 3-year bachelor’s degree (with Mathematics as a subject for at least two years) from an institution recognized by the government of any of the SAARC countries for SAUET 2025, with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade. Candidates who have a 4-year Bachelor’s degree or 2-year bachelor’s degree and have cleared the first year of the master’s programme are also eligible to appear in the entrance test.

    MSc Computer Science Eligibility Criteria 2026
    Aspirants of SAUET 2025 seeking admission in M.Sc Computer Science should possess a 10+2 degree with a 3-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant area with mathematics as a subject either at the bachelor’s level or at 10+2 (12th Class) level from an institution recognized by the government of any of the SAARC countries. It is also necessary to score a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade in the qualifying examination. Candidates who have a 4 year bachelor’s degree or 2-year bachelor’s degree and have cleared the first year of the master’s programme are also eligible. 

    MSc Biotechnology 2026 Eligibility Criteria
    Candidates appearing in South Asian University Entrance Test to seek admission into M.Sc Biotechnology need to have a 10+2 schooling degree with a 3 year bachelor’s degree (BSc, BVSc, BTech, MBBS, etc.) in any area of Biological Sciences / Chemistry / Agriculture and allied sciences; Veterinary and allied sciences and Biotechnology / Biochemical Technology from an institution recognized by the government of any of the SAARC countries, with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade. Students who have not studied Biology at the bachelor’s level must have studied and passed in Biology as a subject at the 10+2 (12th class) level. Candidates who have a 4 year bachelor’s degree or a 2 year bachelor’s degree and have cleared the first year of the master’s programme are also eligible.

    Candidates appearing in SAUET 2026 to seek admission in Master of Laws (LLM) need to possess 10+2 schooling degree with a 5 year integrated BA/BBA/BSc/LLB degree or 12 years of schooling + a 2 or 3 year bachelor’s degree + a 3 year LLB degree or 12 years of schooling + a 4 year LLB degree from any institution recognized by the government of any of the SAARC countries, with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade.

    SAUET MA 2026 Exam Pattern
    South Asian University will test candidates from the topics namely - Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Development Economics and Mathematics and Statistics. The question paper would be of 100 marks, where sound knowledge of Economics at the undergraduate level is necessary to cope with the Master’s programme, the entrance test will feature questions on undergraduate level Economics, Mathematics and Statistics. The entrance examination would be of 2 hours and the question paper will consist of 50 MCQs of two marks each, where 10 questions will be from Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Development Economics, Mathematics and Statistics, respectively. SAUET 2024 will impose negative marking of ¼ of the marks for randomly guessing answers. 

    SAUET MA International Relation Exam Pattern
    After successfully filling the application form of SAUET 2026, candidates will be required to appear in the exam to get a seat in MA International Relations. The entrance examination to be conducted will be of 2 hours with 50 multiple choice questions of two marks each. The topics in the question paper will test the test-takers' understanding of the subject knowledge and his or her General Awareness about South Asia and the world.

    SAUET 2024 question paper will be of 2 hours of time with 50 multiple-choice questions of two marks each that will test the candidates' subject knowledge at the undergraduate level and his/her general knowledge about South Asia and the world. 

    M.Sc.

    MSC Applied Mathematics Exam Pattern 2026
    According to the SAUET 2025 exam pattern, the entrance test for M.Sc Applied Mathematics would be of 2 hours consisting of 100 multiple choice questions in two parts. There will be 20 questions for 2 marks each on Basic Mathematics and 60 questions on Undergraduate Level Mathematics. Candidates will be negatively marked for ¼ of the marks for each wrong answers marked. 

    SAUET 2026 MSc Computer Science Pattern
    Candidates who will appear for SAUET to seek admission in M.Sc Computer Science will be given a question paper with the duration of 3 hours and the question paper will consist of 100 multiple choice questions in two parts. In the first part, questions would be from the areas of Mathematical Science where there will be 40 multiple choice questions of one mark. In the second part of the paper, there will be 60 multiple choice questions of one mark each on the areas of undergraduate level Computer Science. For random guessing, candidates will be negatively marked for ¼ marks. 

    MSc Biotechnology SAUET Exam Pattern 2026
    The entrance examination, SAUET 2025 for admission to M.Sc Biotechnology will be of 2 hours duration and the question paper will have multiple-choice questions in two parts. Each question will carry one mark. In part A of the question paper, will have 10+2 level questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics with 30 questions carrying one mark each. In part B, there will be 70 questions carrying one mark each and will have undergraduate level questions from Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Animal Sciences, Plant Sciences, Genetics, Microbiology, Chemistry, Physics, Biophysics, Mathematics and Biostatistics. A deduction of ¼ of the marks assigned to that question will be done in the case wrongly marked answers.

    The entrance examination, SAUET 2026 for admission to Master of Laws (LLM) will be of 2 hours and the question paper will consist of 100 multiple choice questions in two parts. The first part of the paper will have 20 multiple choice questions of one mark each on general knowledge, political science, geography, general science and civics of the 10+2 level. In the second part, there will be 80 multiple choice questions of the LLB level carrying one mark each and will generally include questions related to law. A deduction of ¼ of the marks assigned to that question will be done in the case wrongly marked answers.

                                                Analytical school of law

                                                  The SAUET 2026 admit card will be published on April 20. Candidates who have successfully submitted the application will be able to download the SAUET admit card 2026 from its official website at sau.int. The SAUET admit card contains key details such as the candidate's name, signature, photograph, date and time of the examination, address of the exam centre, and exam guidelines. On the day of the entrance test, candidates must bring their SAUET admit card 2026 and a valid ID proof with them to the exam centre.

                                                  The South Asian University will announce the SAUET 2026 result on May 15. It will be published in the form of a merit list containing the names of candidates who have passed the entrance test. The result of SAUET 2026 includes various details like the candidate's name, name of the programme, rank, application ID and country. 

                                                  Candidates who have qualified for the entrance test are invited to appear in the South Asian University counselling 2026. If two or more candidates have scored equal marks in the total score of Section A, then it is considered a tie, and the candidate with higher marks in Section B will be given preference. In case there is a tie in the total score of Section B, then the candidate with higher marks in Section A will be offered preference. In case a tie still persists, then the candidate's age will be taken into consideration, and the elder candidate will be given preference.
