What Major Changes can be Expected in CUET UG 2027 Exam Pattern?

A number of reforms in CUET 2027 are reportedly being finalised by the NTA, UGC, and the Ministry of Education. Based on the Navbharat Times report, around 15 lakhs students will no longer need to appear for multi-day exam schedules across various centres. A high-level meeting chaired by the education secretary, with senior NTA and UGC officials, a roadmap has been agreed upon to simplify the exam process for CUET UG 2027 with an aim to save students’ time, logistics cost and administrative friction. This time, a “One Student, One Day” model will be followed reportedly, where students regardless of how many subjects they have chosen will get all their exams on a single day. Earlier, the CUET exam used to be conducted over a span of 12 to 15 days. This step if implemented will massively reduce the commuting. However, there is no official notification from UGC or NTA regarding changes to be made to the CUET exam. Reports of a reduced exam duration of 40 to 45 minutes have also been heard, aling with reduced number of questions to 35 to 40. Candidates are advised to check this article regularly for updates.
