About TISS BAT 2020

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences conducts an entrance examination called TISS BAT for admission in the BA programmes offered by the university. TISS BAT 2020 will be conducted on April 25, 2020. The mode of the examination is online. The total time duration of the TISS BAT is 90 minutes. Candidates are required to apply for the different BA programmes by filling and submitting the application form. TISS BAT is be conducted in about 21 cities across the country. Candidates can select the exam centre city of their choice while filling the application form. Candidates have to answer 100 multiple choice questions in the entrance examination which are divided into two parts. Candidates must note that each part has separate cutoff marks for evaluation. The B.A programmes of TISS BAT 2020 are offered in Tuljapur and Guwahati campuses.

TISS BAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of TISS-BAT 2020 mentions the minimum marks required by candidates to apply for the B.A programmes offered by the institute. The eligibility criteria also mention the age limit within which candidates can apply for the examination. 

  • Candidates must have passed their class 12 in any subject stream from a Recognised Board.
  • Candidates who have studied International Baccalaureate Diploma and will be completing class 12 with clear results declared by June 2020 are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates who have appeared for their Class 12 or Intermediate final exams and are awaiting the results are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit

Candidate must be 23 years of age or less at the time of appearing for the Bachelors Admission Test, as on May 05, 2020. 

Applications submitted from the candidates above this age will not be entertained.

TISS has released the application form for admission in its BA programmes on December 6, 2019. Candidates need to fill and submit the application form along with the application fee by April 10, 2020. Candidates who wish to apply for the entrance exam must make sure to check the eligibility criteria for the subject of their choice before they start filling the application form. Following are the steps to fill the application form for TISS-BAT 2020

Step 1: Registration

  • The applications for TISS-BAT starts with the registration process. 
  • Candidates need to enter a valid e-mail ID. 
  • A link will be sent to the e-mail ID provided so that candidates can set a password of their choice. 
  • After the password is set candidates must use the e-mail ID and password to login for the application process.

Step 2: Application Form

Candidates need to log in using the registered e-mail ID and password created during the registration process. Candidates are made sure that they have an option to either complete the application form in one turn or save and complete the application form partially. 

Candidates are required to fill in the following details carefully

  • Personal Details
  • Academic Details
  • Examination Centre choice and Examination subject

After entering all the fields candidates can move ahead to fill the application fee

Step 3: Application Fee

Before submitting the application fee candidates are given a chance to review their application form. Here candidates must go through all the fields entered especially the exam centre, name of candidate and subject of their choice.

  • After reviewing candidates can now move on to submit the application fee. 
  • Enter the amount and click on the payment option given. 
  • Click on the submit button.

The application fee for TISS-BAT can be paid through Credit card/Debit card or online transactions. After submitting the application form the candidates received a confirmation after they submit the application fee. Aspirants are also advised to keep a copy of their application form in hand for further reference.

The TISS-BAT Exam Pattern mentions the sectional division, duration of the exam and the topics from which the candidates are asked questions. TISS-BAT is conducted for a duration of 90 minutes. TISS BAT 2020 Mock Test

Candidates who wish to apply for TISS-BAT 2020 can attempt the mock tests, the links of which are given here to prepare themselves for the examination. The mock tests help candidates to understand how to attend the exam and also give them an idea of how much preparation has been done and what else has to be covered as compared to the test. Mock tests also help candidates to learn how to manage time while attempting all the sections of the question papers. 

The TISS-BAT 2020 admit card will be released online between April 11 and April 12. Candidates can download the admit card by logging in through the link given.

Steps to download TISS-BAT Admit Card

Candidates are advised to check all the details mentioned in the admit card. If there is any discrepancy in the admit card candidates are advised to report the same so that there is no problem on the day of the exam.

After downloading the admit card candidates are required to paste a passport size colour photograph of themselves (Same as the Application Form)

Candidates must make sure to carry the admit card along with them for the entrance test and hand over the same to the invigilator on the day of the exam.

Documents Required at Exam

The result of TISS-BAT 2020 will be declared in online mode on May 15. The result will be released in the form of a scorecard containing the name, rank and score of the candidate. The list of selected candidates will be released by TISS following which two waiting lists are released. The final result is released in the form of a merit list including the names, ranks and scores of candidates who have been selected for the different programmes. The first waitlist will be released on May 28, 2020. 

TISS BAT 2020 Selection Process

The first stage of the selection process is the Entrance test. TISS-BAT is conducted for a duration of 90 minutes where candidates answer a total of 100 questions. 

The second stage includes the document verification and admission. The list of candidates who qualify and the candidates who make it to the waiting list are displayed on the website of TISS. Candidates can check this information by logging in with their registration number and password.  

Qualified candidates are called for the documents verification at the different campuses they applied for.  If offered admission, candidates need to pay the admission fees on the day of document verification.  

Candidates awaiting for their results should be able to provide an appearance bonafide certificate issued by the Principal/Vice-Principal of their college stating that they have appeared for all the examinations of Class XII during the Document Verification Process. 

The Final marks sheet has to be submitted at the time of verification of all the documents.

I would like to tell you that The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) conducts Bachelors Admission Test (BAT) in order to provide admission to students in different BA programs offered by TISS.
The last date for applying for the test is till March, 2020
Firstly you need to register yourself on their Official website. Later on you need to fill the application form with required documents.
Depending on your category you'll be asked to do application fee payment.
For
general/ OBC category -1250 INR
SC/ST (with family income less than Rs 2.5 lakhs)/ OBC (non-creamy layer candidates with income less than Rs 1 lakh)- 250 INR
SC/ ST (with family income more than Rs 2.5 lakhs)- 500 INR
