Key Reason Behind Tamil Nadu’s Dominance

We came to know from the above table that Tamil Nadu is the leading state to hold the position in the NIRF ranking. In this section you will be able to look at some of the important points on why Tamil Nadu was able to retain their position.

  • The students strength in the Tamil Nadu colleges seems to be the highest with respect to the others. The IIT Madras got 17 out of 20 marks in the SS (Students Strength including Doctoral Students) category which is also similar to the IIT Bombay. The IIT kharagpur scored a bit high (17.55) in this category. While the IISc Bangalore got 12.50 only and IIT Delhi got 15.24.

  • The institution from Tamil Nadu has a good number of faculty to manage the large number of students. IIT Madras scores 23.15 out of 25 in the Faculty students Ratio (FSR) category. Though, this score is less as compared to the IISc Bangalore but it is more than the other institutions.

  • IIT Madras scores full marks i.e., 20 in the Financial Resource and their utilisation category (FRU). This proves that the institutions of this state have also got financial support. They use all the financial resources properly for the benefits of the students and the faculty members.

  • With time, the institution has adopted the online learning system. Also several institutions use the regional language which helps the candidates to learn the better education in its own language. In this category, the top rank holder IIT Madras scored 13.75 out of 15.

  • There is also a proper facility provided to the physically challenged students that enables them to study without any interruption. Also, IIT madras got the full marks i.e., 20 in the Facilities for Physically Challenged Students (PCS) category.

  • The Metric for University Examination (GUE) is the category under the graduation Outcome parameters that shows the passing percentage of the enrolled candidates in the respective university examinations in stipulated time for the program in which they enrolled. In this category, the IIT Madras also scores full marks i.e., 60.

Hello there,

Yes, you can apply for Hindi Honours or B.A. with Hindi, History, and Political Science through CUET even if you got RT in English but your overall result is Pass . CUET eligibility depends on your overall pass status and the specific requirements of the university you are applying to.

Since you are interested in Hindi and related subjects, focus on preparing well for the Hindi , History , and Political Science sections in CUET. Some universities may not consider RT in a particular subject if your overall result is pass, but it's better to check the detailed eligibility criteria of the specific university you are applying to.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

If you didn’t have Maths in Class 12 , you generally can’t choose it as a subject in CUET . The exam usually requires you to pick subjects you studied in 12th grade for the domain-specific tests.

However, you can still apply for many courses that don’t require Maths —just check the eligibility criteria for the universities you’re interested in. It’s always a good idea to review the specific requirements before selecting your subjects.

You should check on the official site for more information. CUET (https://cuet.nta.nic.in/)
