What Is GAT-B?

Graduate Aptitude Test - Biotechnology (GAT-B) is an All-India Entrance Examination for admissions in Post Graduate programmes in Biotechnology and allied areas, at Participating institutions in India. GAT-B supported Post Graduate programmes include: M.Sc. Biotechnology and allied areas; M.Tech. Biotechnology and allied areas; M.Sc. Agricultural Biotechnology and M.V.Sc. Animal Biotechnology.

GAT-B Eligibility Criteria 2025

Students who are of Indian origin are only able to fill the GAT-B application. Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria of the respective institutions.

Steps To Fill GAT-B Application Form 2025

The registration for GAT-B will be done through the following steps:

  • Visit the website at dbt2025.ntaonline.in.

  • Click on the ‘New Registration’ tab.

  • Enter your valid email id and mobile number and complete the registration first.

  • Login using the login credentials.

  • Fill all the required details and complete the registration.

  • Upload the required documents.

  • Pay the requisite GAT-B application fee.

  • Submit all the details.

  • A confirmation page will be generated. One must download this and keep it safe.

GAT-B Application Fee 2025

The application fee must be paid by March 3, 2025 to successful completion of the form. The GAT-B 2025 application fee will be paid through net banking / debit card / credit card / UPI / wallet. After paying the fees, one must retain a copy of fee acknowledgement for future reference.

On August 8, the National Testing Agency (NTA) published the GAT B 2021 admission card at dbt.nta.ac.in. On August 3, the NTA ended the GAT-B 2021 application correction window .

The GAT-B 2021 exam pattern is mandatory watching for applicants preparing for the entrance exam. The GAT-B exam pattern 2021 contains important information about the test, such as the question paper section, the kind and quantity of questions, and so on. The GAT-B 2021 question paper is broken into two parts: Part A and Part B.

Part A comprises 60 required multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chem, Maths, and Bio at the Class 12 level. Part B consists of 100 Bachelor's level multiple choice problems that demand critical thinking and analysis.

The duration of the test is 3hrs

GAT-B 2021 is scheduled on August 14, 2021. There isn't any official announcement regarding the admit card. Since exam is after 9 days from today the admit card will be released anytime soon.
