Candidates who have appeared for the CUET exam 2024 should score the minimum passing marks in order to qualify for the admission process. The CUET 2024 passing marks will vary on different sections. Here are the requirements of CUET passing marks 2024 of different sections.
In Section I (Languages A and B) - students should score a minimum of 80 to 90 marks for each section - A and B.
In Section II (Domain subjects) - the minimum marks required are above 120 marks.
In Section III (General test) - candidates must score above 120 marks.
The NTA will calculate the marks achieved by the students in the examination and compare it with the other candidates who have appeared for the same exam in the similar session. The CUET percentile is calculated by dividing the difficulty level of the exam with the total number of students who appeared for the exam.
Candidates can use the below formula to convert raw score into percentile:
CUET percentile calculator = (Number of candidates who scored equal to or lower than your raw score / Total number of test takers) * 100
The CUET percentile can be calculated by multiplying the marks obtained by the candidate with 100 and dividing the total amount with 200. It will produce the CUET 2024 percentile of the individual candidate.
(Marks obtained / total marks) * 100
Example - If a student has obtained 120 marks in the CUET 2024 exam, the CUET percentile will be calculated and shown below.
Marks obtained = 120;
Total marks = 200
CUET Percentile = (120/200) * 100 = 60%
The candidate has secured 70% in the CUET exam 2024.
The NTA will calculate the CUET 2024 marks obtained by the student with other students using the percentile method. In this method, the NTA will calculate the percentiles rather than the raw scores of students. Students can check the table given below of previous year’s marks vs percentile to estimate their marks in the CUET 2024.
Candidates can estimate their CUET percentile and marks by going through the previous year’s data of CUET marks vs percentile.
Marks Range | Percentile |
200 - 188 | 100 |
187 - 170 | 99 |
169 - 150 | 98 - 97 |
149 - 130 | 96 - 95 |
129 - 110 | 94 - 93 |
109 - 90 | 92 - 90 |
89 - 80 | 89 - 84 |
79 - 70 | 83 - 80 |
69 - 60 | 79 - 75 |
59 - 50 | 74 - 70 |
49 - 40 | 69 - 55 |
39 - 20 | 54 - 30 |
Note: The CUET 2024 marks vs percentile will be varied based on several factors. Candidates can check the table given above for the previous year’s data.
Calculate the marks obtained by the candidate with the total marks and multiply it with 100 to get the CUET 2024 percentile.
(Marks obtained / total marks) * 100
Marks obtained in the exam is 180, and the total marks of the exam is 200.
CUET percentile = 180/200 * 100 = 90%
Marks obtained in the exam is 140, and the total marks of the exam is 200.
CUET percentile = 140/200 * 100 = 70%
If a student scored 70%, then the marks can be calculated by multiplying the percentile with the total marks and then dividing the total with 100.
CUET marks = (percentile obtained * total marks) / 100
CUET marks = (70 * 200) / 100 = 140
The candidate has secured 140 marks out of 200 in the CUET exam 2024.
Hello,
You cannot get admission to engineering courses in Delhi University (DU) through CUET scores .
DU offers engineering courses under its Faculty of Technology, and admissions to these courses are based on JEE Main scores, not CUET.
Hope it helps !
Hello,
Delhi University (DU) offers various engineering courses under its Department of Technology.
Admission to these courses is primarily based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main scores. However, some courses may also consider CUET (Common University Entrance Test) scores for admission.
The exact number of seats filled through CUET scores can vary each year and are not publicly disclosed.
Hope it helps !
Admissions for CUET aren't solely based on 2 Non-Med Percentage along with JEE Mains percentile. The eligibility criteria for CUET require students to have scored at least 50% marks in their Class 12th exam for general candidates and 45% for reserved categories.
Additionally, CUET has its own exam pattern, which includes multiple-choice questions divided into three sections:
- Section 1: Language proficiency(English/Hindi/regional languages)
- Section 2: Domain-specific subjects
- Section 3: General Aptitude
It's also important to note that while JEE Mains is a separate entrance exam, some universities may consider both CUET and JEE Mains scores for admission to certain programs. However, the specific admission criteria may vary depending on the university and course.
To confirm the admission criteria for your desired course, I recommend checking the official websites of the participating universities or contacting them directly.
Yes, if the CUET UG application form does not ask for the 10th marksheet upload and only requires a photograph and signature, your application should still be considered valid. Since you are currently appearing for the 12th exams, the system may not require additional documents at this stage. However, double-check the official guidelines or contact CUET support to confirm.
