The National Testing Agency has started the CUET 2024 admission process for UG courses. Approximately 13,47,618 students applied for the 2024 CUET admission process. This is the combined data of all the categories. All the further process of CUET 2024 is done online. NTA has already completed its exam procedure. NTA has released the CUET 2024 answer key on July 7, at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/. The CUET result 2024 is expected to be announced by July 22, according to a media report. Students can check their result on the particular date through their official website. Once the results are declared, universities and colleges open their portal for counselling and admission. The full form of CUET is the Common University Entrance Test. CUET is conducted by the National Testing Agency. The CUET exam is conducted for those students who want to take admission in colleges. The CUET exam is conducted every year. It's a common exam to get admission in different branches also. There are a total of 27 domain subjects in this common exam. This CUET exam is conducted in hybrid mode all over India in different shifts.
The CUET exam is also conducted outside the country for the students who want to pursue a degree in India through CUET admission. The CUET exam is conducted in various languages. Participating colleges under CUET offer many subjects in different streams. Major streams that CUET offers are Arts and Humanities, Commerce, Mass and Media, Engineering, etc. There are 47 central, 57 state, 37 deemed, 196 private and 8 other universities under CUET offering admission to UG courses.Some well known universities are Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Jamia MIlia Islamia, University of Delhi, Vishva Bharati University, etc.
CUET holds immense significance as it is a common entrance exam for admission to all central universities. The CUET importance is mentioned in points below.
CUET simplifies the admission process by providing a centralised platform for a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
With CUET, students need to prepare for only one entrance exam rather than multiple exams.

The NTA will conduct the CUET re-exam 2024 on July 19. CUET 2024 exam was held from May 15 to 29. The examination is conducted in online mode and also through pen and paper mode. CUET admit card will be available on the website of NTA, at least 3-4 days before the exam. Admit card is very necessary to appear in the exam. Candidates can take their exam through 2415 exam centres all over the country. There are 380 CUET exam cities within India and 26 test cities outside India. NTA conducted the CUET 2024 exam in 2 shifts (pen paper mode) or 3 shifts (online mode).
Th eeligibility criteria for CUET can vary slightly depending on the specific course and university. However, the general eligibility criteria are as follows:
Educational Qualification- Candidates should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with the required subjects. The minimum percentage required can vary by course and university.
Age Limit- There is generally no specific age limit for appearing in CUET for undergraduate programs, but candidates must meet the age criteria (if any) specified by the participating universities.
Nationality- Candidates must be Indian citizens. Some universities may also allow NRI/PIO/OCI candidates to apply.
Candidates are advised to check the specific eligibility criteria for the course and university they are applying to.
NTA has released students’ respective answer keys at the official website. Students are advised to download their answer key. They can also calculate their marks through their answer keys. These marks are the actual marks of the candidate. The answer key for CUET admission is released for the purpose of evaluation of oneself. To know the CUET percentile students have to follow their calculation methods.
The CUET Result are expected to be announced by July 22, 2024. You can check your results by visiting the official website of the NTA. To access your CUET scorecard, you will need to log in with your application number and date of birth.
Students can check their result from the website using some following steps-
STEP1: Open the official website of NTA CUET - exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG
STEP2: Click on ‘View CUET 2024 result’.
STEP3: Now, click on the "Submit" tab.
STEP4: CUET result 2024 will appear on the screen.

The CUET result 2024 is prepared as per the final answer key. For the CUET UG 2024, NTA follows a specific marking scheme. This year, NTA will not follow the CUET UG normalisation method. Here is how CUET score is calculated:
For every correct answer: +5 marks
For every incorrect response: -1 mark
For every unattempted questions: 0 mark
In case of more than one answer is correct and any of the correct answers are chosen: +5 marks
If all the four options are correct, and the question is attempted: +5 marks
If all the options are incorrect or NTA has decided to drop the question, those who have attempted will be awarded: +5 marks
Once the NTA declares the CUET UG 2024 results, the scores are final. No objections or requests for re-evaluation will be entertained post-result declaration.
NTA has succesfully completed its exam process for the ongoing year. Students can check the CUET cut-off on the official website of the participating colleges. Cut-off for different subjects varies. Students can also download their score card for evaluation. After the declaration of CUET results, the CUET participating universities will release the CUET admission: cut off list in online mode. The participating universities of the Common University Entrance Test will release their respective cut off marks based on the performance of the students and various other factors.

The CUET merit list is prepared based on the performance of candidates in the CUET exam. Different universities and courses may have varying criteria, but generally, the higher your score, the better your position on the merit list. Once the results are out, the merit list is published on the official CUET website and the websites of participating universities. This list includes the names of candidates who are eligible for admission based on their scores.
NTA release marks, cut-off and score cards only. Merit lists are prepared by the colleges. Colleges open their portals for the students for form fill up. Students can now visit the websites of their desired college and can fill their forms. Students may fill the admission form of one or many colleges.

Only giving the entrance exam is not enough for the students. To take admission through CUET in a certain college they have to come through many stages. NTA will not release any counselling lists. Participating colleges and universities prepare the CUET counselling lists. Students then have to appear for the counselling process to get admission through CUET 2024. Colleges will release one or more than one counselling list as per their seat requirement. Students must verify their documents during the CUET counselling process as the last step of 2024 CUET Admission Process.
Note: There is no fixed duration for counselling. It totally depends on the college.
The counselling process for CUET 2024 involves several steps including registration, choice filling, document verification, seat allotment and CUET admission confirmation.
Candidates must register for the CUET UG counselling process on the official websites of colleges or universities.
Applicants need to fill in their preferred choices of courses. One must lock their preference.
Qualified candidates must upload scanned copies of required documents for verification. This may include academic certificates, identity proof, etc.
Based on the candidates' rank, choices filled, and availability of seats, the seat allotment will be done.
Allotted seats should be accepted within the specified time period. If candidates anyhow fail to do so then their seats would be dissolved.
After accepting the seat, candidates must report to the allotted institute for further admission formalities.
