The entrance test for B.Pharma and B.Sc. (Hons.) will be conducted in the following subjects – (i) Physics (ii) Chemistry (iii) Mathematics (iv) Biology.
Candidates will be required to choose a suitable combination of subjects or subject from the aforementioned subjects.
Candidates are required to choose the combination on the basis of the subjects studied by them in 10+2 level. The acceptable combinations are PCB, or PCM.

For every correct answer, candidates will get two marks.

As per the exam pattern of Panjab University 2020, the question paper for M.A. History entrance will be divided into three units. Candidates will be asked to attempt three questions from all the units.
The question number one in Unit 1 will consist of eight concept based questions. Therefore, attempting to question number one will be compulsory. Out of the eight questions, candidates will have to attempt five questions. Candidates will be required to answer each of these questions within 80-100 words. Each question will carry five marks. The question number one will therefore carry 25 marks in total.
Unit II will consist of four essay type questions. Candidates will have to attempt only one question out of the four. Each question will be for 25 marks. The candidate will have to write the answer within 1000 words. Candidates can take a look into the areas they will be assessed in, in this unit.
a) Questions will be related to B.A. (General) History syllabus.
b) Candidates will find at least one question from Ancient, Medieval, the history of Punjab, and Modern periods of Indian history
Unit III will assess candidates’ comprehension and communication skills. This unit will consist of two questions out of which the candidate will have to attempt only one. Each question will be for 25 marks. Candidates will be required to answer the question from this unit within 1000 words. Below are the topics which the candidates will be tested on.
a) One question will be based on current affairs
b) Another question will be based on significant contemporary themes.

According to PUCET 2020 exam pattern, the question paper will be divided into two parts – Section A and Section B.
Section A will consist of 25 questions from General Sciences of 10+2 level. This part will assess the knowledge of fundamentals.
Section B will have four subsections – Biology, Chemistry, Forensic Sciences, and Physics. There will be 25 questions in total from these topics. The questions will be of graduation level. Candidates will have to attempt any two of the four subsections.

For every correct answer, candidates will be awarded with one mark.
Each incorrect answer will cost the candidate 0.25 mark.
The maximum marks and number of questions vary as per different courses.
Candidates appearing for the entrance examination must keep certain things on their mind before appearing in the test centre. The exam day instructions of PUCET 2020 will help candidates to avoid last-minute hassles and errors.
Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre a few minutes before the commencement of exam.
During the exam, candidates will be given separate question and answer booklets. After the test, they will be required to submit both the booklets to the concerned person.
The entrance examination will be conducted only in the English language. However, answers for M.A. History entrance examination can be written in either Hindi, English, or Punjabi.
Candidates should not remove any page or part of the question paper or the answer/OMR sheet. Doing so will lead to disqualification of candidates.
Rough work will be allowed only in the space provided for one.
For exams which are MCQ based, candidates will be given an OMR sheet. Candidates should carefully go through the instructions given on the OMR sheet before proceeding with the test.
Candidates must darken the ovals against the answer properly. Answers with half-darkened ovals, darkening of more than one oval, or other marks will be treated as incorrect.
Possession of admit card and valid ID proof is compulsory to be allowed to sit in the PUCET 2020 exam.
In case of UG entrance test, visually handicapped/PWD candidates will be given 20 minutes extra, whereas for PG entrance test, they will be given 30 minutes extra.
Possession of loose papers relevant to the exam and any telecommunication equipment is strictly prohibited.
The test taker must ensure that he/she marks his/her answers only on the OMR sheet.
Usage of only black ball/gel pen is allowed in the test. Candidates should bring their own stationary items.
Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall until the test ends.
No candidates are allowed to carry calculators in the exam hall. Log tables will be provided to students by the exam centre itself.
Candidates are to write their roll numbers only in the designated places in the question and answer booklets.
The total duration of PUCET UG 2020 for B,PEd programme will be 70 minutes.
Candidates must have completed their 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics as one of the subjects to appear for admission in B.PHarma programme through PUCET UG 2020.
According to Panjab University 2020 exam pattern, the total marks of PUCET UG 2020 entrance test will be 120.
Candidates are required to carry the admit card of Panjab University 2020 along with a valid photo ID.
