Before candidates start the application process, they must check out the eligibility criteria of PU CET 2025. Any candidate who fails to fulfill the PU CET eligibility criteria 2025 will lose their claim to the admission offered at Panjab University. PU CET Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates must have completed their class 10+2 exam conducted by a recognized Board/ University/ Council to be eligible to apply for the PU CET (U.G.) entrance exam.

I.N.M.O. (Indian National Mathematical Olympiad) Awardees can directly join B.Sc. (Hons.) programme at the Department of Mathematics. Such candidates do not need to appear for the PU CET entrance test.

Note: Candidates belonging to the reserved category are given a relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks.

The university will release the PU CET UG admission form 2025 in March on its official website. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can fill and submit the PU CET UG 2025 admission form before the deadline. Panjab University will release a common PU CET application form 2025 for all UG programmes like BSc. (Hons.) and B.Pharma. Follow the step by step procedure given below to fill the application form of PU CET 2025.

Stage 1 – Registration: To apply for PU CET 2025, candidates have to first register themselves by entering personal details such as their name, email ID, contact number, etc.

Stage 2 – Log In: After registration, candidates need to login using the unique registration number and password which candidates must preserve till the time of admission.  

Stage 3 – Fee Payment: The application fee can be paid via e-challan. Candidates need to enter the necessary details in the application form and generate the bank challan from the application form. Candidates have to pay the application fee via e-challan which can be deposited at any branch of State Bank of India. Application fee details are mentioned below. 

Note: Candidates are required to pay an additional PUCET fee 2025 of Rs.500 for additional papers such as Biology/Math.

Stage 4 – Uploading Documents and Filling Application: In this section, candidates have to upload a scanned copy of their photograph and signature (as per the prescribed specifications), and fill in other required information.  

Stage 5 – Preview Application Form: Here, candidates can preview the details filled in the application form and can edit/modify/change the particulars in case necessary. 

Stage 6 – Print Application: At last, candidates have to print out the submitted PU CET application form. Candidates are advised to keep the application safe for future reference.

As per the PU CET 2025 exam pattern, the entrance exam will be conducted for a duration of 70 minutes. The question paper of PUCET UG exam comprises 60 questions and each of those questions carries 2 marks. The PU CET questions paper carry multiple types of questions which are asked from the syllabus of Class 10+2. The medium of PU CET question paper will be in English medium and the entrance exam will be held in computer-based mode. Candidates will get 2 marks for each correct answer. However, the PUCET exam will have negative markings. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted from the candidate's total marks.

1. Candidates should be familiar with the syllabus and exam pattern of PU CET. 

2. Divide the syllabus as per the time left for the exam. 

3. Get the best books to prepare and decide your daily target for study. Meet the daily and monthly targets. 

4. Take a lot of mock tests and practise ample sample papers and previous years question papers of PU CET. 

5. Make short notes while preparing. Use these short notes during revision. 

6. Keep some days for revision. Make use of these short notes to revise the entire syllabus again. 

7. Do not take any new topic or chapter during the last lap of the preparation.

The admit card of PU CET 2025 for UG programmes will be issued in May. Candidates who have submitted the application form can download the PU CET admit card 2025 by entering their login ID and password in the PUCET login portal. After candidates have downloaded their PUCET UG admit card 2025, they are advised to check the admit card and ensure that all the mentioned details are correct and legit. 

Any discrepancies found in the admit card of PUCET exam 2025, must be reported to the university authority immediately. It is mandatory for candidates to carry their PU CET 2025 admit card and government issued ID proofs with themselves to the PUCET exam centre on the exam day.

How to download PU CET Admit Card 2025?

• Then, click on the 'PU CET admit card' link

• Fill in the login ID and Password

• Download and print out the PU CET admit card

The PU CET 2025 answer key will be released in May in online mode. Candidates who have appeared in the PUCET 2025 entrance test will be able to download the PU CET answer key 2025 by visiting the official website of Panjab University. The answer key of PU CET 2025 comprises the correct answer to all the questions that were in the entrance test. With the help of PU CET answer key 2025, candidates can calculate their probable marks on the basis of the answer given in the entrance exam.

The PU CET 2025 answer key will be released for subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. If candidates find any kind of discrepancies in PU CET answer key 2025, they can raise an objection against the answer key within the scheduled time given by the PU Chandigarh. Candidates can also submit objections against the PU CET 2025 answer key via email only by paying the required fee.

Panjab University will declare the result of PU CET 2025 in the form of a provisional merit list, in online mode tentatively in May. Candidates who took the entrance exam can check the PU CET 2025 result on the online web portal of Panjab University. The PU CET result 2025 mentions various important details such as the qualifying status of candidates for subject combinations - Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB), Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and Mathematics only. Candidates of general category need to secure 15% marks, whereas candidates of the reserved category (SC/ST/BC/PwD) only have to secure minimum 10% marks in the PU CET 2025 exam to be considered eligible for admission.

How to check PU CET Result 2025?

• Go the official website of Panjab University

• The, click on the official 'PU CET result' link

• Type in the PU CET 2025 roll number and choose the subject combination you have opted for

• Press the “Show Result” tab

• Now, the PU CET result will be displayed on the screen.

The university will release the PU CET 2025 cut off for UG programmes in online mode at admissions.puchd.ac.in. Candidates need to secure the marks mentioned in the PU CET cut off 2025 to be eligible for PU admission. The cut off of PU CET 2025 will be prepared on the basis of various factors such as the difficulty of the exam, highest marks and lowest marks scored in the exam, total seats and number of candidates who appeared for the entrance test. It must be noted that the minimum number of candidates needed to score in the PUCET UG entrance exam differs for candidates depending upon the category they belong to. Candidates belonging to general category must secure at least 15% marks, while reserved category candidates (SC/ST/PwD/BC) only have to secure 10% marks to be qualified for the exam.

Candidates are offered admission on the basis of the final merit list formulated by combining 75% weightage given to PU CET 2025 percentile score+Class 12th marks+weightage for other activities.

To participate in the counselling session, candidates who qualify the PU CET UG exam have to fill the admission form. They must fill the PU CET 2025 counselling registration form to secure their admission.  Candidates also have to submit the hard copy of the online PU CET admission form 2025 and also the photocopies of the certificates.

After submitting the PU CET admission form 2025 with certificates, they need to apply for choice filling and choice locking in terms of courses they wish to opt for in the preferred colleges.

The PU CET 2025 counselling will be conducted in offline mode. Candidates have to first register online to take part in the PU CET counselling 2025 for seat allotment. After completing the registration, candidates have to report to the allotted institute/department on the scheduled time and date to confirm their seat. If seats are left vacant, the university might conduct another counselling round. Once admitted, candidates are required to pay the full admission fee (as applicable). The PU admission fee payment has to be made on the spot through Bank Draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh payable at State Bank of India, Sector – 14, Chandigarh).

The Punjab University will conduct PU 2nd Physical counselling 2025 tentatively in September for courses such as B.Pharma/ B.Sc(H). The PUCET 2025 Counselling spot admission is expected to be conducted in September for the candidates who have qualified in PU CETUG 2025 but have not submitted their form online.
